Great breakfast joint. I've been coming here for quite some time and just realized I never wrote a review. Food is great, service is great. They did remodel the inside a while ago and it looks great. The outside could use some attention like better, landscaping, weeding, painting, etc. But I love coming here every once in a while. Went there the other day in my food came out in less than five minutes. crazy.

We used them for catering. The food was amazing. We had pulled pork, mac n cheese and sausage and peppers. We will defuse them again.

Which brings me to my newly crowned favorite sandwich - Tongue On Rye; ask for the tip slices very lean. I even got a dependable guarantee from our server she'd provide an unforgettable tongue sandwich. In a comedic mood, I asked our server to not give me any lip! She doubled over giggling and said thank you for your honesty and THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I've been asked just Tongue with "No Lip." Despite the comedy and light hearted conversation the table for two was perfect Harry & Sally style! Watching the action, enjoying the lean tongue on rye with mustard an unforgettable delight.

The still tastes good, with some exceptions. The frier oil seemed burnt, so the pickle chips we had just had that little bit of carbon taste on them. The pickle chips batter was very thick, and the mayo was the only respite. The sandwich, still tasty, seemed much smaller than normal, the meat still had good flavor, but the portion was lighter in comparison. The prices are also a bit high. The sandwich coming out to about 15 bucks. The bargain is very much gone now, and the portion is okay for a sandwich but pricy because of this shrinkage. Not shown are the overcooked onion rings. We returned those and the server promptly removed them from the bill. So really good customer service. I opted for a brownie for dessert, and the brownie was a disappointment. Too sugary, no flavor, gummy, and disappointingly small and thin. A detractor for sure. As a deli, it feels like it's on the decline. I know things are pricier now, but what you pay vs what you get doesn't match up. I'm hoping they pivot from this path, but right now it's no longer my go-to. It's still tasty, just pricy

Tried again, better but still missing details…read more Wanted to give this place another try, so I came in for the morning breakfast routine to try them out. Inside is still somewhat nice looking if not a bit sparse and a bit dark. I try to get a single tamales. Along with a sandwich. Food comes out after a short delay. Took pics then dug in. Bread is really good. Crusty but soft and was warm. Had to cut it myself but they gave me a steak knife which worked for the job. The beef was flavored well but the jus was over seasoned with salt. It mellowed out when treated like a French dip, but still a little too salty on its own. There was about 6 small strips of steak, with some tomatoes and onions also in the mix to help bulk out the sandwich. The tamale was massive, masa was spiced well. Chicken was pulles in long strings which led to uneven bites of chicken and masa. Price was good for the sandwich but not the tamale. 13 for the sandwich is reasonable but would want the option for some fries or something to bulk it out. The tamale at 8 was too pricy for what you get. Not a bad tamale, but would rather pay 4 and get half than pay for a big one. Least then I can try both protein options and pick a winner. They are improving, and the efforts are noted. New menus and new servers make for a better experience. There's still some tweaks to be made, but it's a good place to try if you're feeling adventurous

For an entree we got the wok fried rice with mixed meats. Rice was well done, but basic fried rice, the meats were cooked very well (other than the shrimp) but not a lot of meat. Overall, my biggest issue was the inability to read and understand the menu. Less than 50% of the menu had descriptions in English, and unfortunately when asking the staff they were unable to translate and answer questions. The tables around us were Spanish speaking and had a significantly easier dining experience. I feel like this is a great local Latin American diner, and if you are looking for some authentic Peruvian home style dishes this is the place. But if you are English speaking be aware you may have difficulty.

Nice personal touch! I've honestly never been a fan of gluten-free food, but this place totally changed my mind. My bagel sandwich was delish!! I was recently diagnosed with celiac, so when I realized everything was gluten free, I was honestly overwhelmed with excitement. I wanted to try everything. Since it was after 11, I decided on a chicken quesadilla--and wow. It was crispy, cheesy, and everything I've been missing about quesadillas. The coffee was delicious too. We split a peanut butter sandwich cookie, which was absolutely incredible. I also took a blueberry muffin to go because I knew I'd want it the next day--and I was blown away all over again when I enjoyed it with my coffee at home. This is definitely going to be a regular stop for me!
