We had dinner today for the 1st time at MB. The restaurant has a very warm and welcoming ambiance. This is a very romantic spot for couples. This two level restaurant has a beautiful exterior as well as interior. The restaurant showcases beautiful furniture pieces that represent the furniture industry & what High Point is known for. I love how their menu is filled with a modern take on southern dishes. The presentation of each dish is well executed. We had drinks, appetizers, and dinner and zero complaints. Every dish met our expectations. Not only did the dishes look wonderful but tasted great as well. Our waitress Mary Kate was incredible . She checked on us and refilled our water without us ever having to ask. She was very easy to talk to with a friendly smile. She definitely made our dinner date exceptional with her services. She was helpful and very courteous. We started off with this refreshing drink called the Tradewinds. It was very refreshing, highly recommend. We also started off with Salmon deviled eggs and shrimp tempura . Both were amazing. The shrimp tempura came out crispy and flaky and both dipping sauces that came with it were so good. One was a sweet tangy Asian sauce and the other was sesame oil and ranch mixed together . The deviled eggs were creamy that had different textures as you bit into it. We almost ordered another round. For dinner I got recommendation from Mary Kate to go for the roasted chicken. She stated it wouldn't disappoint and it didn't. The chicken was so tender and went so well with the asparagus & mashed potatoes . The steak frite was what my husband ordered & it too was very delicious. The steak was tender and had the perfect flavoring.The side salad was delish as well with diced cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. The dressing was soo good, it definitely made the salad. The basket of fries had a perfect crunch and went well with this dish. We can't wait to come back to try their other dishes. They also have a weekend brunch from 11am -4pm with live music. We were headed to the children's museum and wanted to try something new for lunch. I saw Magnolia blue had a tasty looking brunch menu. The restaurant has a calm modern feel. On Sundays they also have live music. I started my meal with a strawberry cocktail and we shared the deviled eggs and biscuits. The strawberry cocktail was refreshing and the perfect end of summer drink. I really enjoyed the deviled eggs. They tasted like a smoked salmon bagel. The biscuits were also delicious and I enjoyed the homemade jam. For my entrée I had the Asian shrimp salad. The dressing was very tasty and the shrimp were big and perfectly cooked. The different vegetables in the salad so each bite was a little different. I sampled some of my families steak, which was very good as well. For dessert we shared the chocolate mousse cake. It was just the right size and very light. The vibe of the restaurant is more relaxed so service may feel like it's taking longer, but it was part of that leisurely pace of brunch. The ahi tuna salad is my favorite thing to get here. My husband enjoyed the salmon. We got the pimento cheese dip and requested pita chips instead of crackers. Southern food was calling our book club after reading a book set in Savannah and it presented the opportunity to finally visit Magnolia Blue. First impression was that I was impressed. The restaurant itself is beautiful with comfortable high backed booths that create an additional layer of intimacy. We enjoyed the hummus and shrimp tempura as appetizers for the table. The hummus had a Southern twist as it was made from black eyed peas but if you like Hoppin' John you will enjoy it. I opted for the Mahi and really enjoyed it. A few in my group had the chicken & waffles and raved. The waffle was perfect and the chicken was fried a crispy golden, so it's definitely on my bucket list to try. Service was excellent from end to end as well. Would recommend for groups or date night. Will be back soon to check out the 2nd floor patio. read more

What a hidden gem! I went for Saturday brunch. It wasn't crowded like typical brunch places. We were seated promptly. Staff was friendly and courteous. The food was plentiful and delicious!! I had the Belgian waffle (pricy imo) but DELICIOUS!!! You must try the lump crab omelette. It had plenty of crab meat and was soooooo delicious. It came with meat ( I had bacon and they gave me 4 pieces!! Potatoes and fruit. Everything was delicious. My guest had a vegetarian omelette with grits and potatoes and fruit. She cleaned her plate. We didn't have drinks or sharebles (appetizers )but they had a good variety. The waitress was accommodating and friendly as well. They had live music when we first arrived (around 11:30 a) but he was packing up before we left. It was a great experience overall and I will definitely return to try the dinner menu and more of the brunch menu. read more

I am so happy we went here. My wife and I wanted to take her parents somewhere nice. And, this place was perfect. The location was great and the ambiance was nice. It was a little too dark for my father in law to see the menu. Yet, we were able to pull it up online and brighten the screen for him. The drinks were also very good. I got their cinnamon cider mule but with bourbon. My mother in law got a mimosa. And my wife got one of their winter thyme cocktail. Now the food was the show stopper. Everyone was completely silent because the food was that good. Mmt father in law said this was the best salmon and collards he's ever had. He only eats salmon wherever he goes so that means a lot cominf from him. I got the shrimp and grits which were really good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Our visit to Magnolia Blue was absolutely amazing. We went had a group of 4 for brunch on a Saturday. We made reservations but it wasn't too busy either way. We were greeted and sat in a very comfortable booth. Service: Our waitress, Shelby, was great! She was very knowledgeable of the menu and answered all of our questions. She was even able to recommend some great cocktails & "mocktails" for us. Food: The food really blew us away. I heard great things about this place, but was not expecting it to be this GOOD! I had the banana foster waffle. It is pretty big and comes with Vanilla Bean ice cream. If you like sweets, this was perfection. My dad got the Salmon and collard greens. I've never seen that man so happy. The collard greens are cooked in vinegar, giving them more flavor. He literally wanted an order to go. My mom mom got the DM skillet. She's a little picky and at first sight, she wasn't too sure about her choice. After a few bites, she proved herself wrong. Almost hurt herself trying to finish it. Husband ordered the Shrimp & Grits. Luckily, he likes to share and it was delicious. Highly recommend it. Drinks: They have a great drink selection. Mimosas were just right. They customized my husbands mule and it came out great. I'm preggo, but they were able to convert my drink (Winter Thyme) to a mock tail and I really enjoyed it. The food was amazing!!! Service was a bit slow since there were a lot of people in town for a show. I recommend making a Reservation. We got the pimento cheese dip which was very good. Ask for more crackers if you need them. The shrimp and grits were outstanding! I was so glad I ordered it. Talk about yummy! I also saw they had a tequila old fashion! This did not compute in my head and I REALLY wanted to try it, but I passed and stuck with the regular old fashion on the menu. It was perfect, I ordered two! I'm only knocking one star because the rooftop does not have any heaters. When it's cold and that wind blows...BRRRR!!!!!! Although they have a limited number of blankets to give out, they didn't give one to the lady in our group who requested one; but yet asked the people who sat behind us if they wanted one and brought it out for them. Im here with a good friend to drop off her son at High Point University and she suggested this restaurant. We made a reservation which I would suggest. We were promptly escorted to out seats and quickly greeted by our server that brought water. I love you don't have to ask. I ordered the Seersucker cocktail and it was delicious especially the lavender combined with the fresh lime. We order 2 appetizers the pork egg roils and disco fries. Both were gluten free and full of flavor. For dinner I ordered a house salad and Salmon as my main dish. The house salad was excellent and the Salmon was cooked great and was accompanied with grits and collard greens. Our group made a reservation for 5:30. When we arrived they said it was for 6pm. They put us on a tiny porch and it was difficult to work with interpreters for our deaf individuals. We made it work. Unfortunately the food was hit or miss. The pasta dishes weren't a favorite; however the pork chop was delicious. My daughters took me to Magnolia Blue on Sunday, Feb 2 2025. It was a wonderful experience as I turned 66 on 1-28-25! The server (Lauren) was so pleasant and kept checking on us and in not in an annoying way. I got the Chicken & Waffles and cleared my plate. Anyway, there was a large group near us and someone had a birthday as well. They sang to one of their people and finished. It was refreshing. When they saw Lauren bring my brownie and the candle, they said "oh another birthday! sing it again" and the whole choir and that table and others started to sing to me as well! It was warm and came with Ritz crackers. I ordered the salmon which was grilled with a sweet BBQ sauce. It's served with grits and collards. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles. Chicken tenders are served over a savory waffle with maple syrup on the side. All the food is upscale and served within a reasonable time of each course. We unfortunately had a terrible experience. We traveled in from out of town because MB had great reviews. We were excited to sit on the roof for brunch. We ended up sitting in the direct sun for 45 minutes with 1 drink refill. We asked for an ETA on our food and the server said "soon" then came back later to say there were 2 tickets ahead of us. At this point we asked to cancel our order and pay for our coffees because we were getting sunburnt and had wasted an hour of our day. Super bummed because the food looked great. read more

This is the BEST restaurant in High Point. Everything is on point. The service, the cleanliness, the menu choices, the atmosphere, and especially the food is top notch. The Early Bird with open biscuit, topped with poached eggs (or eggs of your choice), chicken tenderloin and gravy is perfect. My wife had the Baby Back Ribs. The ribs were falling off the bone with some of the best tasting, slightly sweet barbecue sauce I've ever tasted. We ended our meal by splitting the Salted Carmel Cookie in a skillet. First we all order the Bloody Mary menu states pickle okra with it came out missing it ask manager and he said yea don't have them don't know why the menu states that. First problem I ran into for me was the water tasted a little like it came from the lake with pee. I'm from a different state so maybe it's just me. The menu is a little small and wouldn't recommend for kids. Mac and cheese were good and the Meatballs were delicious . The waiter was nice but the food and the waiter to come over and ask us for what we wanted took forever. Seemed like a nice place with TVs and an upstairs seating area. The server Maya and the male floor manager treated us horribly. I brought my mother here for early Mother's Day dinner and was ignored throughout my service. I expressed that my drink came with things that were not on the menu and that my wait was long. I was told that it was our fault for expressing the issues and that the server was unhappy with us. There are also no indicators of what is gluten free on the menu and the server brought it to us on her phone. Completely unprofessional. I left the dinner crying. read more
