    The Blooming Board

The Blooming Board bills itself as a charcuterie cocktail lounge and boutique, where you can gather, graze, and shop. It lives up to all of the above. Calling it eclectic would undersell their unique approach. Walking in you're struck by the variety of items they offer. You can find everything from small jewelry and accessories to clothing and gourmet foods as well as unique cooking utensils and accessories. The comfy, creative space gives you an idea of just how comfy and creative the food is. While they cater for all sorts of gatherings, large and small, what you will find on the menu at The Blooming Board is a wide range of finger food that is flavorful and beautifully presented. You'll note in some of the pictures I'm posting of things like salami crafted into a beautiful flower or a waffle cone used as a tasty delivery vessel for fresh fruit. It is all as delicious as it is appealing to look at. You can pair it all with assorted wines and blended beverages. There's a community table in the middle plus seating areas throughout as well as outdoor areas. I felt like no matter what you were looking to do you could find a spot at The Blooming Board and feel comfortable. This place is about quality finger food, terrific cocktail and drink options, where you can hang with friends and enjoy all of it. High Point could certainly use more places like The Blooming Board that can invite more people downtown at times other than just standard business hours.

Love, love, love this space! Shopping Wine/Cocktail Chic Ambiance TopTier Charcuterie Board The young ladies are very accommodating to drink requests. The charcuterie board is very diverse in the selection of cheeses, meats, and fresh fruit. If you haven't stumbled onto the Blooming Board yet, you need to make it happen ASAP! This store is focused on Charcuterie Boards in ever way and I can't love it enough! Located steps away from Stock & Grain, this place is very convenient and such a fun place to go! You can purchase anything and everything for a charcuterie board, have a glass of wine, purchase a premade charcuterie board, or shop some of the fun gift ideas through the store! The staff is helpful and kind, and I enjoyed being there so much I wanted to hang out all day! Bring a friend and check them out! They are also a part of the High Point Christmas Walk.

If you are looking for a great charcuterie board while visiting High Point this is the place to go. Brandi's shop is absolutely too cute. We stopped in for her signature frozen rose and it is delicious. The service is amazing and if your looking for a spot to host a gathering she has the space and a bar. She also delivers to High Point University so if you need a care package for your student check her out.

The cutest business in downtown High Point! Love this concept, a cute place to have a drink and board and be able to shop- what more could you ask for? The owner and her staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the service was top notch! The board was absolutely stunning and the ingredients were fresh! We came into town for a birthday party and will definitely be back!

The Blooming Board is so fantastic. Perfect for a quiet spot to hang out before a ball game. The ladies here are so kind and willing to share drink recommendations! We ordered a medium board for four people. It was fantastic. The fruit was ripe and sweet and the cheese and meat pairings were absolutely perfect. Brandy also made me a beautiful Prosecco cocktail which I lovingly named Mermaid Champagne. If you're not a sparkling person they have beer, cider, and - plethora of other wines to choose from! I can't wait to come back here again for a girls night out, and to shop!

BRB - still daydreaming about the beauty and excitement this board from The Blooming Board brought us and our family this Thanksgiving! It's our second board by this sweet lady who is a joy to work with and honestly, we can't get enough. Already thinking about the Christmas board we wanna order - it's that good! Fresh ingredients beautifully put together - not to mention she makes most of the specialty treats and jams from scratch!

Great place to lounge, socialize, host events, & have a date night! Nice food, service, & reasonable pricing.

OMG Brandy did an excellent job on our graduation board...everything we wanted and more. Her attention to detail was great...she gets and deserves a 5. Highly highly recommend

This place has become one of my favorite go-to spots in High Point! It's dependable because you know you're going to get something great but also exciting because you never know what new things are going to be in store. Not only is it great for a quick drink with friends, but it's also the perfect place to camp out for the day and work. The employees are also top notch! They are kind, relaxed, fun, and incredibly friendly, making you feel like you are interacting with a good friend. This place will make you want to keep coming back because they are continually doing something fresh, fun, and unique. They have great merchandise, clothing, charcuterie, drinks, events, and live music, so there is a little something for everyone. If you ever get the chance, stop in to try their monthly brunch-- it is INCREDIBLE. You would think that brunch at a charcuterie place is probably boring and light, but not here! The brunch is fulfilling enough to be a meal but also has special menu items like cereal cannolis and banana nutella donut holes. Overall, you HAVE to try this place-- just thank me later!

Magnolia Blue was one of my favorite High Point eateries. Whether I went for weekend brunch or New…read moreYear's Eve dinner, I never had a bad meal there. It closed in early February for what were supposed to be renovations, only to reopen months later with a new name and a new concept, trading slightly upscale Southern for more upscale Italian. In some regards, this makes sense - it fills a void created by the closure of Lulu and Blu - but in other ways, it's a massive gamble. My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner, and while it was an overall pleasant experience, it also made us miss Magnolia. The higher price point is the chief culprit. Otto and Blue offers pastas in the $20s and entrees starting in the $30s, bread and olive oil not included. While we were celebrating an occasion that merited such a splurge, it's hard to imagine the restaurant remaining competitive at those prices once the sheen of newness wears off. Look past that, however, and Otto and Blue shines in both ambiance and service. It's classy without being stuffy, and the dark turquoise tones suit it well. Allison, a Magnolia Blue mainstay, was personable and attentive and provided excellent service throughout the meal. Otto and Blue's menu offers apps, salads, pastas, and entrees. It's predominantly Italian albeit with a few options for the steak-and-potatoes crowd. The dishes range from recognizably classic (rigatoni Bolognese) to conspicuously elevated (halibut piccatta). After mulling over several offerings, we went with the bread service, tagliatelle, and duck cacciatore. The food ranged from fairly good to outstanding. While $9 for bread is a tough pill to swallow, they executed it as well as they possibly could have: a hot, fresh ciabatta with tasty herb butter, olive relish, and a quality olive oil-balsamic combo as accompaniments. The cacciatore boasted a pair of duck legs confit, and while I'm usually no fan of dark meat poultry, these were prepared well with crispy skin and plenty of meat. For a typically hearty dish, the sauce seemed light (and a bit subdued), but that could be a consequence of serving atop polenta (more absorbent) rather than pasta. Speaking of pastas and sauces, the tagliatelle hit a nice balance of creamy and zesty without swimming in its white wine lemon sauce. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal ended up being the dessert that Otto and Blue kindly offered as an anniversary gift. A scoop of vanilla bean gelato came adorned with a Biscoff cookie, a drizzle of olive oil, and a dash of salt. If salt and especially olive oil on ice cream seem vaguely blasphemous, don't knock it until you try it. Each bite was thoroughly delicious. It's a given that good food doesn't come cheap, but even so, Otto and Blue has no margin for error to justify what it charges. On food alone, it was close but not quite there. However, the overall experience made it worthwhile, and I have no regrets about dining here.

I also had their fireside mule which was a delicious seasonal brunch drink with crown apple and ginger ale and butterscotch schnapps! We also got biscuits and they came out super dry initially but our server got us fresh ones and the fresh ones came out a little undercooked and she took them back without us even asking! The service was impeccable. The chicken and waffles looked delightful as well. The place is very posh and they have parking behind the building and make sure you walk towards the outside of the building towards their ground floor entrance! I'll be back soon!
