I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
