Last stop on our Sunday funday adventure in downtown Greensboro last weekend. This was my first time stoping into the bearded goat. A bit of a a dive bar, but in a good way. They've got a great beer lists, both bottles/cans and on draft. They also offer Sunday mimosa specials. I'm not sure if they have food other than bagged snacks, but I'm sure you can bring some if they don't offer any. Pricing was ok, and service friendly. They have a corner with arcade/bar games and a great outdoor patio space for relaxing on a nice day. I'd go back, and you should check it out too! read more

We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after brunch and had a couple of drinks with some friends. It was not very busy at the time, but the bartender was attentive and had no delays in getting our drinks served. My beer was cold served in a fresh glass. There back area has some arcade games and the overall feel is casual . We sat on the benches in their outdoor area, which is open air and has multiple propane heaters through out covering several tables. read more

We stopped in here on our day, drinking barhopping trip and it was really on a whim. We saw a bunch of people going in and out of here and thought well why not let's try it. The biggest thing for me was that there was definitely some sort of Smell in the bar. Incense or air freshener or something and it just was overpowering. The beer selection was OK and the atmosphere was all right, but it was definitely a local pub and we really felt out of place. It's OK for one beer, but I don't know that I would hang out here for any lengthy period of time. read more

Love the music they play here !!! Casual, fun spot downtown Greensboro in my afternoon discovery ! Great patio but was too hot to sit outside , great communal table in the middle of the bar suited us just fine. Great beer and liquor selection. A lot of bourbon !! Great daily specials, Sunday was mimosa and bloody Mary's and vodka drinks. ! I got a lovely deep eddys grapefruit with soda and there was a mix of seltzer, beer, Bloody Mary and mimosas on the table. Great hang out . Very colorful and nice vibe. read more

Great beer and liquor selection, bartenders are dope, and ambiance is the perfect balance of casual and eclectic. Convenient location downtown and lots of parking available. This is a great little spot to check out. It can get very crowded inside. As soon as you walk in there is a basketball game and a mechanical punching bag type game to your right. This seemed to be a big draw, however I feel it could be somewhat unsafe. There was a huge crowd there taking turns and they could've easily hit someone. It also made it difficult to get to the bathrooms. They do not serve food at this establishment as it is just a bar. They do have a great patio area which is great because the inside is a bit small. They have a few patio games including a huge connect 4 game. Fun little place to stop in at, if you don't like crowds perhaps a weeknight would be best. read more

We decided to grab a beer /cider on a Sunday evening. Not as crowded as on a typical Saturday, much more relaxed. We had a good time.

Most of the staff was kind, however our party witnessed a bar back be extremely hostile towards a customer which made us uncomfortable. Then again, we saw him yelling, swearing and being extremely aggressive towards another customer waiting for a drink. At which point our party decided to close our tabs and leave the bar. If bar backs cannot control their emotions on a busy night then the bar should limit the amount of people they let in. Overall, it was an uncomfortable experience and felt unsafe at the end of our visit. read more

The Bearded Goat is always a stop on my bar crawl list, especially when hanging around Elm Street. The location is prime- close to Mellow Mushroom, Boxcar, Natty's, etc. Their selection is solid, the bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable, and the crowd is normally pretty cool. Easily the highlight of this bar is the outdoor patio, which is very spacious and casual, with outdoor game options and a pro-dog policy. They don't serve food but allow take-away, so we will usually pick up a pizza or two from Mellow Mushroom and bring it over. They have a few parking spaces right outside and there's street parking opportunities all around, though on a Friday/Saturday night it may be hard to find a spot. read more

We love the bearded goat at revolution mill!! We have come to this location for both leisure and a private event and every time we come, the staff is always pleasant and professional and the atmosphere is never crowded. During the private event we were never inconvenienced by anything going on with the public downstairs and there was enough bar staff to accommodate all 60+ guests. The Bearded Goat was our old stomping ground so when we were in town, we had to go back and see if it was still just as we remembered. The bar is still very packed on the weekends, with people from all walks of life. It use to be very much a dive bar, but has slowly turned into a hipster spot. Not that it is necessarily bad, but it gets extremely busy. They have various beverages, none on draft though. All cans, cocktails, and they do have wine. On the weekends they also do mimosa days and a Bloody Mary bar. They have seating on the inside and a patio area, and have a few games sprinkled throughout. After hearing a lot about the Bearded Goat I finally got to check it out. I am a huge fan of places with outdoor seating! The outdoor area at TBG is pretty good. There are cornhole boards and picnic tables, but I will say it's a tad cramped for an outdoor area. They have a wide selection of beers, I chose the Bull City Ciderworks Cherry Tart. Also, TBG is dog friendly and they have gender neutral bathrooms. Overall I'm glad I checked out the bearded goat. read more

Service is rude most of the time. Management needs to keep a close eyes on staff. Staff mixes up tabs and this place is a must tip waiters place otherwise they'll yell at you. I love the music everyone puts though. Customers are friendly. No food here though. read more

The inside is pretty cool, lots of license plates on the walls, exposed brick, old keys and a card catalog that has been converted into a wine glass rack. They have a pretty nice brick patio area out to the side with a few bar games like giant jenga and cornhole. The crowd my night there was a lot of fun. Would definitely go back! read more

Nice downtown Greensboro bar with a cool vibe and a great selection. However, it seems bartenders are only interested in serving the regulars. I have been here several times, and it was difficult to get a drink. They really seem to enjoy talking to and interacting with some customers and not others. Went for Music Bingo on 12/8/21. This cozy bar had the usual selections of beers, hard seltzers, and spirits. Bonus for having a Make Your Own Ornament station. We found customer service lacking, but maybe because we aren't regulars. Although the bar wasn't packed, I waited quite a bit before a bartender came to me and when he did he asked nastily "You want something?" After asking if that was ok because it seemed he didn't want to take my order he proceeded to tell me it wasn't his job but the other bartender's. We also noticed regular patrons who had been greeted by name had their empties cleared but not so much for us. They don't offer any food selections but Mellow Mushroom is right around the corner Natty Green just across the tracks. Music Bingo was a blast. Pretty diverse music selection that kept everybody singing. It's every other Wednesday, but I think I'll try it at the Revolution Mills location. read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! When we walked in bouncer just looked at us so we kept walking.. never asked for Id. When my husband tried to go to the restroom he came banging on the door and running and screaming at him saying he can't hear and being beyond rude. Neither one of us heard him ask for our Id... we immediately left and will NEVER be back.. get a better door guy because from the other reviews I see he seems to be a big part on lose of business. Had a bad experience. Never going back. Bouncer was a jerk. We had friends sitting over the wall on Lewis St. We were talking to them over the wall before we joined them. The jerk bouncer with GOAT ball cap on yelled at us from the door that we should be in or out. We were, for some reason, not allowed to talk over the wall from a public sidewalk. The Bearded Goat is a very cool dive bar. Friendly bartenders make you feel like you've known them for years. They have an outstanding bourbon selection as well as a wide array of beers. This is a great joint to come to with friends - or to make new friends. The inside is not very large but they have an awesome patio for nicer weather. Oh, and dogs are always welcomed! read more

Nothing impressive here, as I was hitting this place up on a single person bar crawl. I walked in and sat at the bar for 5 minutes before I was noticed by any one of the 5 bartenders who were all having a spiritedutes conversation about whatever, i just knew that I wasn't even noticed. I've been to many bars in Greensboro and have always had nothing but exceptional service from every other bar I've ever been at. I'm not hard to notice standing at 6'5" with a beard. Finally got service from one person and never saw him for the rest of my beer. Pulled that really giant beard guy (can't remember his name) but he was actually really all about the service. I gave him a heads up on what was going on and he apologized. That's all I wanted, but when you have 5 people behind the bar, and not 1 see's you or acknowledged you for 5 minutes that is a problem. Will I be back? Probably not, but hopefully other patrons haven't had the same experience. read more

This is a pretty neat bar with both indoor and outdoor seating, and a decent selection of beer. I came here one evening with a couple of friends and had a really nice time! There are games outside to keep folks entertained and dogs are also welcome, so feel free to bring your pup along with you. The vibe seemed to be pretty lowkey and it felt as if a lot of people were meeting up here before heading elsewhere. Lots of coming and going while I was there. The bartenders were decent and friendly and had recommendations based on what I was looking for, which was great because I'd honestly never seen/heard of some of the beers they had available (like I said, decent selection!) Given how nice the outdoor area is, I'd 100% recommend checking this place out when the weather is nice. I'll definitely be coming back come spring time. read more

This is a nice small little bar in Downtown Greensboro. It has a large patio area for the summer months and numerous TV's inside. Descent tap and the bartenders seemed very good at doing mixed drinks. It is a bit on the small side on the inside, so if it gets busy be aware. If you are in the area for a quick drink, stop in. read more

Walked in on the recommendation of a friend and immediately regretted it. We did not feel welcome and there was no air conditioning. It was hotter inside than out and it was a 90+ degree day. They don't offer food either so overall it was just a no go for us. read more

I literally love this place. To be honest, throughout Covid I questioned my ENTIRE life... but the goat has always brought me back. One time I went to Walmart naked.
