Love the music they play here !!! Casual, fun spot downtown Greensboro in my afternoon discovery ! Great patio but was too hot to sit outside , great communal table in the middle of the bar suited us just fine. Great beer and liquor selection. A lot of bourbon !! Great daily specials, Sunday was mimosa and bloody Mary's and vodka drinks. ! I got a lovely deep eddys grapefruit with soda and there was a mix of seltzer, beer, Bloody Mary and mimosas on the table. Great hang out . Very colorful and nice vibe.

Great vibes! Readonably priced drinks and the bartenders are always friendly. The Goat hosts many fun events and is a central part of the downtown GSO scene.

Any new cocktail bar in Greensboro is a win in my book. The Bearded Goat is that and so much more! Great beer and liquor selection, bartenders are dope, and ambiance is the perfect balance of casual and eclectic. Convenient location downtown and lots of parking available. I recently got a citrus vodka cocktail and it was *chefs kiss. Don't miss this spot if you're downtown or better yet, take a quick trip downtown and enjoy a nice cocktail.

This is a great little spot to check out. It can get very crowded inside. As soon as you walk in there is a basketball game and a mechanical punching bag type game to your right. This seemed to be a big draw, however I feel it could be somewhat unsafe. There was a huge crowd there taking turns and they could've easily hit someone. It also made it difficult to get to the bathrooms. They do not serve food at this establishment as it is just a bar. They do have a great patio area which is great because the inside is a bit small. They have a few patio games including a huge connect 4 game. Fun little place to stop in at, if you don't like crowds perhaps a weeknight would be best.

The Bearded Goat is always a stop on my bar crawl list, especially when hanging around Elm Street. The location is prime- close to Mellow Mushroom, Boxcar, Natty's, etc. Their selection is solid, the bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable, and the crowd is normally pretty cool. Easily the highlight of this bar is the outdoor patio, which is very spacious and casual, with outdoor game options and a pro-dog policy. They don't serve food but allow take-away, so we will usually pick up a pizza or two from Mellow Mushroom and bring it over. They have a few parking spaces right outside and there's street parking opportunities all around, though on a Friday/Saturday night it may be hard to find a spot.

Great vibe and feels like your hometown bar where you are always welcome. Good bartenders and selection of beverages . I like the diversity of the customers and everyone is respected. Grab your friends and spend some time in the goat for a relaxing , laid back fun time. It's a great place for a quick stop or have a group gathering . Plenty of places near by to pick up food and the goat is accommodating when you bring in food. We enjoy the selection of great bourbons .

Cute vibe, clean place, great location, HORRIBLE SERVICE! The bartender, Emily, had the worst attitude!! Very short, rude, and unhelpful as a bartender offering local drinks that out of town people wouldn't know.

The Bearded Goat was our old stomping ground so when we were in town, we had to go back and see if it was still just as we remembered. The bar is still very packed on the weekends, with people from all walks of life. It use to be very much a dive bar, but has slowly turned into a hipster spot. Not that it is necessarily bad, but it gets extremely busy. They have various beverages, none on draft though. All cans, cocktails, and they do have wine. On the weekends they also do mimosa days and a Bloody Mary bar. They have seating on the inside and a patio area, and have a few games sprinkled throughout. Overall, it is just a chill fun place to go for a night out and get some good, strong, priced beverages!

After hearing a lot about the Bearded Goat I finally got to check it out. I am a huge fan of places with outdoor seating! The outdoor area at TBG is pretty good. There are cornhole boards and picnic tables, but I will say it's a tad cramped for an outdoor area. They have a wide selection of beers, I chose the Bull City Ciderworks Cherry Tart. Also, TBG is dog friendly and they have gender neutral bathrooms. Overall I'm glad I checked out the bearded goat.

We decided to grab a beer /cider on a Sunday evening. Not as crowded as on a typical Saturday, much more relaxed. We had a good time.

Fun little bar! The service was great and the selection was good! Tight quarters though. It's definitely a hole in the wall.

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Not in Greensboro often but I'm coming back here!

Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!

Anthony is my fav bartender but everyone does an amazing job. I love the on the menu jalapeno strawberry margarita, but like this night pictured if I want something else he will make it for me ! And he's never made me a bad drink ! (This wasn't my first rodeo here ). On to the food. This wasn't my first time having the collard sausage dip and I could eat it with my hands it was so delicious freshly made and creamy ! This is hands down the best dip I've ever had and to top it off the fried pita !! My only complaint is there aren't enough pitas to dip ratio but I will order more next time. And I found the dip greatly paired with the catfish. ( no judgement) The catfish is something I've had before but I didn't have the pleasure of the waffles the last time and let me tell you ! This is a work of art. I want to personally meet whoever made this idea of layered fish , greens and waffles but it was heavenly. And I wanted to eat it all but my stomach just wouldn't allow it. I did however heat the leftover the following morning for breakfast and they were still perfect. Last but not least the Mac and cheese was creamy, noodles were perfectly cooked and it was seasoned to a T. I'm picky on Mac and cheese being my favorite food and they do it justice. See you all next weekend!

The dip is always so delicious - it's one of my favorite appetizers ever. The pita is really good too. I think they recently started adding cheese to it too which is good but not really necessary in my opinion. At first, they brought us pita that was really burnt but our waiter told us she requested a fresh batch without us even saying anything which I think is great service. I also tried their garlic parm boneless wings & they were so good. I loved how seasoned & salty they were, although they might be too salty for some people. I really loved it though! Their cocktail menu is also really interesting & creative. It's mostly whiskey of course but they do have other spirits. I tried the peanut butter & jelly Old fashioned and it was surprisingly delicious. It really did taste like a PB&J so I highly recommend. The inside is small but there's a nice outdoor seating area too. This really is one of my favorite places to get food in the area BUT the only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because anytime I've been there remotely close to closing, they definitely let you know & make you feel rushed. I'm not one to go to restaurants last minute when they're closing because I know how that can make it difficult for employees, but being somewhere 45 minutes before they close shouldn't warrant getting rushed. I've been there before just to have a few cocktails at the bar about 45 min before closing & had the same experience. I still really love this place & will keep going (but probably not within an hour or so of closing lol)

Our service was a little hit-or-miss. Our waiter was also managing the bar, which meant we weren't checked on as often as we would have liked. When we ordered, the items weren't read back to us, and unfortunately, the order did come out incorrectly. The drinks definitely a highlight! They were well-made and didn't skim on the alcohol. The meal was perfectly fine, but nothing particularly stood out as spectacular. It's solid pub fare if you're looking for a casual bite. Overall, McCoul's is a decent spot for a strong drink and a cozy, dim atmosphere. I'd love to see a bit more attentiveness on the floor, but it's still a place worth stopping by if you're in downtown Greensboro.

Jill and Kayne, who previously created KAU at Revolution Mill before selling it to Pepper Moon, also own Old Town Draft House and Boulder's Bar and Grill. Each and every one is amazing in its own way. Old Town has been one of the longest standing establishments, and it puts out incredible food! Burgers, wraps, apps, salads, wings, sandwiches, Philly's, even a burrito... you name it. Pretty much everything that comes out of this kitchen is a hit. Today I had the chicken Philly. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. The classic soft Philly hoagie, chicken that's tender and juicy, peppers and onions full of flavor with the perfect consistency (not too limp, not too raw), all topped with oozing cheese that they're not shy with. I'm salivating just thinking about it as I write this...may have to go get another one tomorrow lol. The housemade chips and dip were perfect with it. Great craft beers, local options, and everything in between round out a perfect pub in the heart of UNCG. This one is definitely in the rotation. No matter what owner couple Jill and Kayne do, they do it amazingly well.

On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.
