Food! Service! Artsy -- but very comfortable setting! Ambience! All terrific. Delicious decaf -- first with blueberry hush puppies and, later, with salmon this evening. Especially nice treat for me.

I stopped by on weekday around 9 and got one of the last tables. The limited parking has definitely deterred me in the past from coming here. I'm glad I went. I got a platter with potatoes, bacon, eggs, and toast. Everything was cooked really well. I especially liked the potatoes. Service was okay - our drinks weren't refilled often or quickly. But everyone was friendly and the place was clean. Very close proximity to everyone as it's a small place.

This was my first time to this location. I went on a Tuesday at 9:30am and did not have a wait but it quickly filled up after I got there. Our waitress did say that she was in training. I got French toast and grits. I wasn't aware it would be $1.50 more for the grits because I asked for cheese in them. The grits are delicious super creamy and flavorful, but I wish I knew the cheese would've been that much extra.

As always Dear Dads is amazing! Our waitress was phenomenal and the food is delicious! Inside is very clean and the ambiance is calm and relaxing. The parking lot was the only issue but that didn't take away from the five star review. The parking lot is entirely too small for the demand the restaurant has. Other cars were blocking us in so people had to get us to move in order for us to exit the parking lot. Overall, great place! My husband and I go here all the time! We will definitely be back!

A few times I've been here the food's been excellent but I've always came for breakfast. Today was the first day I came for lunch. I didn't take pictures of the plates as they were brought out. I just took a picture of my leftovers. first let me say breakfast is incredible, portion sizes are quite large. It's always been my favorite at dear dad's. Our server was wonderful. Made sure that our glasses stay full with our drinks. He made sure to check to see if we needed anything, while we at the restaurant. It's really a good place to go for breakfast. Maybe if I pick something else for lunch it might be really good. what I got was buffalo chicken wrap now I understand buffalo means spicy, but this was a little bit more than spicy almost too hot to eat. My breakfast from before consisted of eggs Benedict and it was fantastic. Here are just the two pictures that I've taken.

Dear Dad's was popping!! My friend and I waited about 30 minutes for a table, but I considered it worthwhile. The service was quick and friendly! The inside of the restaurant is sooooo cute. I love how they decorated it! The food and coffee was really good! The chicken Caesar wrap was packed full of salad, and it was well seasoned and sauced up! I loved my iced biscoff latte - it was sooo tasty. I think I gulped in down in like 5 minutes. Really great spot in Greensboro! Glad I was able to try it out.

Decided to try this place after trying out the downtown location. Heard a lot of good things about this place and it did not disappoint. First off its in a small location so be prepared to wait, but the wait is worth while. The place is super bright and clean with cute decor that makes the place lively and inviting. The service is out of this world. Drinks were served within minutes of being ordered, water is refilled routinely. Food came out within 10-15 minutes of order and is delicious. The side salad I ordered is larger than I expected as some restaurants will serve some really small side salad. It is also fresh so that is another plus. The burgers are amazing to say the least. My son was shocked at how good it is and raving about it. The coffee is delicious, not too hot but also not overly strong or too sweet.

I had been seeing this restaurant all over Tik Tok. I just happened to be in Greensboro so I decided to have breakfast there. There were a lot of people there already but we were able to secure a parking space. I am not sure what the wait would have been for a table but we were offered a seat at the bar right away. The inside of the restaurant is kind of small. The waitress was so nice. We ordered a variety of dishes....pancakes, eggs Benedict, a corned beef omelet, hash browns, and home fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. The omelet was so filling and flavorful. I could not finish it. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. The eggs Benedict was very fresh and tasty. The eggs were poached perfectly. We really enjoyed our meals. I can't wait to go back so that I can try other dishes.

Finally had the chance to stop in and it did not disappoint! Expect to wait quite a while on a busy day, today our wait was ~1.25 hours but well worth it! The inside was gorgeous and I loved the design of everything! Our server was fantastic and she was super attentive, even though she clearly had a lot going on! The food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the blackened chicken Caesar wrap and also had some of the chilaquiles. The wrap was perfectly sauced and the chicken was super flavorful. I wish the fries had been crispier, but paired with the house ranch they tasted great! The chilaquiles were to die for! Spicier than I expected but that was a welcome surprise. The portion was also huge with rice and beans on the side! Definitely will be returning to try the famous waffles and french toast!

I have seen a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant. We were looking to have brunch in Greensboro and decided to give it a try. It was busy, but the wait was not too bad. The restaurant is a formal waffle house so it is not very big on the inside. We were seated at a booth and the inside of the restaurant is very cute. Our waitress was really nice and gave great recommendations. I tried the Red Velvet waffle with chicken tenders. The portion was huge and very good as well as the waffle. I also enjoyed my pistachio latte. My son had the chocolate cake which was fudgy and very tasty. The manager came by to check on us and I thought that was nice. Overall, a great service of food. I would just go on a weekday next time since it gets very busy.

Arrived around 9 am on a Friday and the restaurant was busy. There were about 2 or 3 booths available when I arrived but they were soon filled as well. I love everything about how the staff welcomed my sister and I. We were checked on often and didn't have to flag anyone down for any refills. Bathrooms checked out as well. They are single stalls but there is a bench for you to sit and wait if needed. I'm late to the party dining here but the reviews do hold true. The food was tasty and portions were filling. I needed a carry out plate and so did my sister. She was happy with all of her food selections. Even the table next to us vocalized food envy for her chicken and waffles entree. I ordered the breakfast club sandwich with hash browns. I grabbed the ketchup but once I took a bite, the hash browns were all I needed on my fork. No extras. A few entrees stood out to me during this visit so I have to come back for more. As well as try a dessert or two! Thank you for the wonderful service and good eats!

I came to this place the other day for a work meeting with my manager. The restaurant is always super busy but we got there at a good time (2p.m.)where we didn't have to wait for our table. I was able to meet the owner of the restaurant and he was super nice! We had a really nice server who was very attentive. We asked her for some recommendations from the lunch/dinner menu and she recommended anything that has the birria in it. I ended up ordering the birria burrito and I also tried their iced vanilla latte. The latte was delicious it came in a cute glass cup with some whipped cream and caramel drizzled on top. Our food was out quickly as well. My burrito came with a side of fries that were delicious and well seasoned. My burrito was stuffed with birria, rice, beans, guacamole, and pico de gallo. It also came with a green salsa that was not spicy and I could tolerate it. It was very good, the burrito didn't feel like too overwhelming for me, although I did get full quickly and had to ask for a to go box. Overall if you're looking for a cute little brunch spot or want to grab something for dinner, Dear Dads is a great choice. The vibe inside is very warm and welcoming and they have some great music playing as well!

    Taylor L.

Dear Dads is such a gem! The food is insanely good.. seriously, every dish we tried was a hit and the menu has so many great options that it's almost impossible to choose. Their drink selection is just as impressive, with tons of delicious coffees, matchas, and fun refreshers. The atmosphere is lively and busy in the best way, and the decor is super cute, making it the perfect spot to hang out or grab brunch with friends. Service was great too, everyone was friendly, quick, and super helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out!

First of all-service was excellent. Our waiter came to the table within a moment of being seated to get started with waters and non-alcoholic options, and was quick to check back up on us and see if we were ready or had questions. He made several great recommendations on both food and drinks. My only caveat was that my 10 oz steak was a bit on the salty side, but this may be due to the aging process. It was cooked to a beautiful medium per my request, and both my sides (asparagus and loaded baked potato) were yummy, well cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband got a pasta with pancetta and caramelized onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Suggested wines were paired well with both entrees. We opted to get a few more drinks with dessert, and both were also very good. The bartenders are not stingy in their pours! We also split the butter cake for dessert and I will say that Paula Dean would have been proud of that cake. It was melt-in-your mouth richness paired with a slightly tangy fruit sauce, fresh berries and a tasty vanilla ice cream. The restaurant as a whole was well set up, with multiple types of seating and a large bar area. Decor was well placed and there was enough room to walk through without feeling crowded, despite how busy it was. We will absolutely be back!

I will say the fish and the chips were fabulous, but the corn was terrible and should probably not even be included on the dish. It was WAY overcooked and chewy. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

So it's high time I leave a review for Old Town Draft House. I've been here numerous times and I'm…read moreonly writing my first review now. Such an amazing spot. Jill and Kayne, who previously created KAU at Revolution Mill before selling it to Pepper Moon, also own Old Town Draft House and Boulder's Bar and Grill. Each and every one is amazing in its own way. Old Town has been one of the longest standing establishments, and it puts out incredible food! Burgers, wraps, apps, salads, wings, sandwiches, Philly's, even a burrito... you name it. Pretty much everything that comes out of this kitchen is a hit. Today I had the chicken Philly. Yep, the best chicken Philly I've had in a very long time. The classic soft Philly hoagie, chicken that's tender and juicy, peppers and onions full of flavor with the perfect consistency (not too limp, not too raw), all topped with oozing cheese that they're not shy with. I'm salivating just thinking about it as I write this...may have to go get another one tomorrow lol. The housemade chips and dip were perfect with it. Great craft beers, local options, and everything in between round out a perfect pub in the heart of UNCG. This one is definitely in the rotation. No matter what owner couple Jill and Kayne do, they do it amazingly well.

This is a location that has been on my bookmarks for a long time, but I'm honestly not sure why I…read morehaven't been there sooner. On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.

Dodging a huge rainstorm we decided to sit at the bar and the staff was very friendly and attentive. We sampled a beer or two before deciding on a couple suds and the poutine appetizer while we decided on the main event. The place was fairly busy and they do have a decent outdoor patio also. It's a chill, hole in the wall, neighborhood watering hole type of place. We chatted with a few locals and my wife and I enjoyed the atmosphere. They had some great beers on tap including several from Foothills brewery and also full liquor bar to send a few rounds for any occasion. I settled on the Mad Haddock (I know who orders the fish at a burger place) and my lady had French onion burger. The deep fried asparagus was a playful side that was memorable. We both really enjoyed the choices. The fries could've been more crisp but overall they were passable. The haddock sandwich was incredible and that tartar sauce was incredible. The sandwich was one of those that you don't put down after a few bites. I enjoyed the food, friendly service and conversation with locals. They recommended a bottle shop connected to a laundromat not far away but we had to get back on the road. If you are in the Greensboro area Hops is worth a stop for happy hour, lunch or dinner.
