    Chicken Caesar Wrap
    Emily P.

Dear Dad's was popping!! My friend and I waited about 30 minutes for a table, but I considered it worthwhile. The service was quick and friendly! The inside of the restaurant is sooooo cute. I love how they decorated it! The food and coffee was really good! The chicken Caesar wrap was packed full of salad, and it was well seasoned and sauced up! I loved my iced biscoff latte - it was sooo tasty. I think I gulped in down in like 5 minutes. Really great spot in Greensboro! Glad I was able to try it out.

Decided to try this place after trying out the downtown location. Heard a lot of good things about this place and it did not disappoint. First off its in a small location so be prepared to wait, but the wait is worth while. The place is super bright and clean with cute decor that makes the place lively and inviting. The service is out of this world. Drinks were served within minutes of being ordered, water is refilled routinely. Food came out within 10-15 minutes of order and is delicious. The side salad I ordered is larger than I expected as some restaurants will serve some really small side salad. It is also fresh so that is another plus. The burgers are amazing to say the least. My son was shocked at how good it is and raving about it. The coffee is delicious, not too hot but also not overly strong or too sweet.

I had been seeing this restaurant all over Tik Tok. I just happened to be in Greensboro so I decided to have breakfast there. There were a lot of people there already but we were able to secure a parking space. I am not sure what the wait would have been for a table but we were offered a seat at the bar right away. The inside of the restaurant is kind of small. The waitress was so nice. We ordered a variety of dishes....pancakes, eggs Benedict, a corned beef omelet, hash browns, and home fried potatoes. Everything was delicious. The omelet was so filling and flavorful. I could not finish it. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. The eggs Benedict was very fresh and tasty. The eggs were poached perfectly. We really enjoyed our meals. I can't wait to go back so that I can try other dishes.

Finally had the chance to stop in and it did not disappoint! Expect to wait quite a while on a busy day, today our wait was ~1.25 hours but well worth it! The inside was gorgeous and I loved the design of everything! Our server was fantastic and she was super attentive, even though she clearly had a lot going on! The food was FANTASTIC! I ordered the blackened chicken Caesar wrap and also had some of the chilaquiles. The wrap was perfectly sauced and the chicken was super flavorful. I wish the fries had been crispier, but paired with the house ranch they tasted great! The chilaquiles were to die for! Spicier than I expected but that was a welcome surprise. The portion was also huge with rice and beans on the side! Definitely will be returning to try the famous waffles and french toast!

I have seen a lot of positive reviews about this restaurant. We were looking to have brunch in Greensboro and decided to give it a try. It was busy, but the wait was not too bad. The restaurant is a formal waffle house so it is not very big on the inside. We were seated at a booth and the inside of the restaurant is very cute. Our waitress was really nice and gave great recommendations. I tried the Red Velvet waffle with chicken tenders. The portion was huge and very good as well as the waffle. I also enjoyed my pistachio latte. My son had the chocolate cake which was fudgy and very tasty. The manager came by to check on us and I thought that was nice. Overall, a great service of food. I would just go on a weekday next time since it gets very busy.

Arrived around 9 am on a Friday and the restaurant was busy. There were about 2 or 3 booths available when I arrived but they were soon filled as well. I love everything about how the staff welcomed my sister and I. We were checked on often and didn't have to flag anyone down for any refills. Bathrooms checked out as well. They are single stalls but there is a bench for you to sit and wait if needed. I'm late to the party dining here but the reviews do hold true. The food was tasty and portions were filling. I needed a carry out plate and so did my sister. She was happy with all of her food selections. Even the table next to us vocalized food envy for her chicken and waffles entree. I ordered the breakfast club sandwich with hash browns. I grabbed the ketchup but once I took a bite, the hash browns were all I needed on my fork. No extras. A few entrees stood out to me during this visit so I have to come back for more. As well as try a dessert or two! Thank you for the wonderful service and good eats!

I came to this place the other day for a work meeting with my manager. The restaurant is always super busy but we got there at a good time (2p.m.)where we didn't have to wait for our table. I was able to meet the owner of the restaurant and he was super nice! We had a really nice server who was very attentive. We asked her for some recommendations from the lunch/dinner menu and she recommended anything that has the birria in it. I ended up ordering the birria burrito and I also tried their iced vanilla latte. The latte was delicious it came in a cute glass cup with some whipped cream and caramel drizzled on top. Our food was out quickly as well. My burrito came with a side of fries that were delicious and well seasoned. My burrito was stuffed with birria, rice, beans, guacamole, and pico de gallo. It also came with a green salsa that was not spicy and I could tolerate it. It was very good, the burrito didn't feel like too overwhelming for me, although I did get full quickly and had to ask for a to go box. Overall if you're looking for a cute little brunch spot or want to grab something for dinner, Dear Dads is a great choice. The vibe inside is very warm and welcoming and they have some great music playing as well!

Excellent food and service! Cannot stress enough how this business feels like it emphasizes over delivering on the customer experience side. We had a short ~10 minute wait on a busy Sunday morning, and while waiting, were greeted by staff offering us coffee/juices on the house. The Americano was really good. But even better, the Spanish omelette was to die for!!! Never had anything like it. Initially was going to build my own but I decided to go with their combo - no regrets. Needed to balance the sweet with the savory, and the Nutella french toast was so yummy, not overly sweet and the vanilla ice cream on top was the perfect addition. Vibes were the perfect medium of lively, but homey, it gave "welcome to grandma's house and we're gonna have a good time". IYKYK. Shoutout to our server Melonie! She made sure we were well taken care of. 100% would recommend this business without hesitation. cannot wait to come back to try more!!

I recently checked out Dear Dad and I can definitely see why people are talking about it. They're known for their American and Mexican inspired comfort food, and it did not disappoint. I started off with an iced caramel coffee, and even while we were waiting, they brought our drinks out to us, which was such a nice touch and honestly set the tone right away. They didn't have to do that, but it definitely made the experience feel more welcoming. Once we sat down, we got right into the food, chilaquiles verdes, waffles with strawberries, and huevos rancheros. Everything was flavorful and hit the spot. The place was packed, so I was honestly surprised at how quickly our food came out, but it was absolutely worth it. Service was great all around. The only thing I'd note is that it is a smaller space (it looks like it may have previously been a Waffle House), so I'd recommend going with a party of 4 or less for a more comfortable experience. Overall, definitely a spot worth trying!

Food was amazing. Definitely authentic, very savory and the portions are huge. I came around lunch time and had to wait roughly 20 mins for seating. The service was prompt and courteous. Will definitely come back

Dear Dads is such a gem! The food is insanely good.. seriously, every dish we tried was a hit and the menu has so many great options that it's almost impossible to choose. Their drink selection is just as impressive, with tons of delicious coffees, matchas, and fun refreshers. The atmosphere is lively and busy in the best way, and the decor is super cute, making it the perfect spot to hang out or grab brunch with friends. Service was great too, everyone was friendly, quick, and super helpful. Highly recommend checking this place out!

    Moroccan mint tea
    Hannah G.

I've had the opportunity to go to Dear Dad's on 5 occasions, only getting to get seated and eat on two of those because of wait times being crazy long! The first time I visited was with my toddler and a friend back when they had their outside dining which was great! The second time visiting was a couple weeks ago with my 3 year old (we had a 20 minute wait). While we waited outside, a server brought complimentary orange juices to the guests waiting which was a great gesture. Once we were inside, our food came pretty quickly! My son ordered the waffles, and I got biscuits with gravy and eggs. On my previous visit I got the Mashed Bowl which was like a big southern hug to the tastebuds! I also got a Moroccan mint tea (which is listed for $3 on the menu). The decor was cute and while things were busy, we didn't feel rushed. Once we finished, I tried to get the check and leave quickly because I knew people were still waiting outside. I noted on my receipt that the tea was upcharged to $4 even though the menu said $3 and figured that was a pretty sneaky way to recoup the "complimentary" orange juice, but the rest of the meal and experience was good and I'm not the type to complain to a server. I will be on the lookout for that in the future if my husband and I ever get a chance to have breakfast there together! Overall, it's really nice and the food is good, but you may have to try to get in a few times before you actually get a chance to eat any food!

Fernando's Plate w/ sausage, corned beef hash, and biscuit
    Zachary F.

Another wonderful time at Dear Dads! Busy as always so be prepared to wait at any time in the day. Got Fernando's Plate this time around, which comes with a waffle, choice of two meats, eggs, a side, and choice of bread. A loaded meal for sure. I opted for sausage and corned beef hash, sausage gravy for the side, and biscuit. The waffle was perfect, nice and crispy on the outside but fluffy on the inside. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery and went perfectly with a spread of peach jam. I topped mine with a sausage patty and the gravy as well and it was phenomenal! We of course will be back!

First of all-service was excellent. Our waiter came to the table within a moment of being seated to get started with waters and non-alcoholic options, and was quick to check back up on us and see if we were ready or had questions. He made several great recommendations on both food and drinks. My only caveat was that my 10 oz steak was a bit on the salty side, but this may be due to the aging process. It was cooked to a beautiful medium per my request, and both my sides (asparagus and loaded baked potato) were yummy, well cooked and seasoned perfectly. My husband got a pasta with pancetta and caramelized onions, and it was absolutely delicious. Suggested wines were paired well with both entrees. We opted to get a few more drinks with dessert, and both were also very good. The bartenders are not stingy in their pours! We also split the butter cake for dessert and I will say that Paula Dean would have been proud of that cake. It was melt-in-your mouth richness paired with a slightly tangy fruit sauce, fresh berries and a tasty vanilla ice cream. The restaurant as a whole was well set up, with multiple types of seating and a large bar area. We watched a couple tables around us, get their food before us, and they had been seated after us.. The server had to go back and check on our dish a couple times before it finally came out. I will say the fish and the chips were fabulous, but the corn was terrible and should probably not even be included on the dish. It was WAY overcooked and chewy. The coleslaw left quite a bit to be desired as well. No seasoning, no flavor and was just bland. When it says wasabi coleslaw, I am thinking it is going to have a little bit of a kick to it but nothing. They could definitely save themselves some money by eliminating the corn from this dish, make the coleslaw an option as an up charge and could lower the price on the dish in general or add a third piece of fish instead of the corn and coleslaw. We started out with cocktails. I had a Hendricks dry martini straight up (it was delicious) and my wife had a Don't Call Me Sweetie which is mix of Hendrick's Gin, Lemon, Cucumber, Basil, Simple, Saline 15. It is very citrus heavy, so be advised. She had them cut it with a bit of cranberry to offset the citrus. For main courses, my wife had the grilled salmon and she chose sautéed garlic spinach and wasabi slaw as her sides. I ordered the shrimp and grits and my side was blackened green beans. Let's talk main course first. My wife's salmon was terrific. Flaky and moist and very tasty. My shrimp and grits was unique because it was a real balance between large pieces of shrimp and the grits. Many times you'll order this dish and end up with a pile of grits with some shrimp sprinkled on top. This version is very tasty and a really nice balance of flavors. The Cajun seasonings have it some kick, but it did not overpower. The side dishes are where we had a couple of surprises. First off the sautéed spinach was really delicious, but my wife's wasabi slaw was bland. It's a huge shocker because when you see the word wasabi, you expected to have some Asian kick to it. This did not. It was hard to even identify that it had wasabi in it. That was a disappointment. The surprise was the blackened green beans. They actually were one of the stars of the show. Their flavor and texture was just awesome. We could've ordered a huge bowl of it and eaten all of it. While it didn't need it, there was a dipping aïoli on the side, just in case we wanted to add that to the green bean experience. As I mentioned off the start, Fishbones is a very casual experience. It's very pub-like in that way. We really loved it and the wait staff, which is a team approach as anyone who passes you makes sure you're doing OK, were kind, upbeat and helpful. Even with the bland slaw, we can't lower our rating because overall the experience was terrific. We will definitely come back.

Gotta say this isn't your average sports bar. This is a higher end sports bar with a classy interior and a truly awesome patio that has a large fireplace and plenty of seating. Works perfectly on beautiful sunny days, or cold snowy nights. The whole family enjoyed all of the food that came out. From the Bavarian style pretzels with 2 different dips, the hot and fresh beer battered mushrooms, to the sesame tuna poke bowl. Fresh and delicious. My Leap Year Burger was outstanding. Cooked to a perfect medium, dripping with juiciness. Add in the garlic aioli, crispy bacon and an oozing egg to top it all off and you have one heck of a burger! Smoked old fashioned for me, espresso martini for the wife, some cokes and Shirley Temple's for the kids...everyone was a happy camper. We're looking forward to coming back. Whether you want a great dinner with friends and family, weekly live music, or enjoy a few drinks and sports...this spot is solid for it all.

Our kids had cheeseburgers and they loved them. I had the fish and chips and it was really good! Light and flaky and the tartar sauce was tasty. Their chip cut fries were also so good! My husband had a Southwest chicken wrap, and they gave us a brownie dessert since it was his birthday. Our server was friendly, and not overly pushy. We really liked the inside of the restaurant, and the patio also looked like a great place to enjoy a meal. We will definitely be back! Local gem!

On a Saturday afternoon, I was in Greensboro and in the mood for some good pretzels and a draft beer, and this hit the spot. Old Town Draught House has a very old bar ambience, without feeling worn out and dated. I love the old dark wood throughout the building. They have a pretty broad draft beer menu, along with normal bar offerings. I was happy to see multiple sour beers on the list, because that's exactly what I was in the mood for. There's no table service, and it is seat yourself, but the bartenders were very attentive, and it was never difficult to place an order at the bar. We ordered a few beers and decided to get deviled eggs and the pretzels as appetizers to share. Food came out very quickly. The pretzels were pretty good, but I've had better elsewhere. Rather than being crispy, they were soft and a bit soggy, but the flavor was great. The beer cheese was on point, although I would've preferred a spicy brown mustard over yellow mustard. The deviled eggs were a bit of a letdown, because it was just a hard-boiled egg cut in half with a little bit of sweet chili peppers and dressing that tasted like 1000 Island on top. When I think of deviled eggs, I anticipate the egg yolks being removed, mixed with a few ingredients, and piped back in. For what was basically two eggs cut in half, the six-dollar price tag was steep. Overall, we had a great experience, although I would likely choose different food options next time. The bar staff were great, the beer offerings nice, and the ambience was a good vibe.

It's a great little restaurant with a fun atmosphere and great music. We started with the Fried Goat Cheese Balls and the Fried Cauliflower, and both were excellent. The goat cheese balls were crispy on the outside and creamy inside, while the cauliflower was perfectly fried and packed with flavor. I ordered the Jalapeño Popper Burger special, and it was phenomenal. Juicy, cooked perfectly, with just the right amount of heat and all the flavors you'd expect from a great jalapeño popper. Easily one of the better specialty burgers I've had. They also have a great beer and wine selection, which made it easy to find the perfect pairing with our meal. If you're traveling and looking for something far better than the usual fast food off the interstate, Hops Burger Bar is absolutely worth the quick detour. Great food, great service, and a place we'll make a point to stop at again the next time we're passing through.

Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!
