We recently made a visit to Bites and Pints for lunch and it may have become one of my new favorite spots for a burger in Greensboro. To start, we got an order of the Philly egg rolls. While these were good, I think I would have liked these a little more if there were more rolls in the order, but less filling in each of them, as these were almost too much filling for each roll as it kept falling out while eating. The flavor however was phenomenal and I would still recommend them! For the main, I got the Bites and Pints Melt with a side of bacon cheese fries. The melt was cooked perfectly and loved the addition of the special sauce on top. The burger to Texas toast ratio was spot on as well. 10/10 would get again. The bacon cheese fries were delicious as well, crispy fries smothered in beer cheese and bacon, what more can you ask for?! A phenomenal meal was had this time around and cannot wait to stop back by for another! read more

This is probably my first review of this location, and I'm honestly surprised I didn't do it sooner--but here we are. I decided to stop by Bites & Pints Gastropub on Spring Garden St. in Greensboro. As always, I was greeted as soon as I walked in, handed a menu, and asked what I'd like to drink. That goes a long way with me because a lot of places around here will have you standing there for 2-5 minutes before asking if you're drinking or eating. Sometimes I wonder if that's a rhetorical question, but that's neither here nor there. Anywhoo--I grabbed my usual seat at the bar and asked for a water and a pineapple cider. It came in a can, but they always served it with a cold glass, which was a nice touch. Unfortunately, they no longer carry it (and I forgot the brand name--sorry ), so I figured I'd switch to a Blue Moon. Another blow... they don't carry Blue Moon anymore either. CURSES!! The manager explained they stopped carrying it because it wasn't selling well, so I settled for my trusty Stella Artois and took a look at the menu. To my surprise, they'd updated it! They kept a lot of the favorites while adding some new items. I started with the Firecracker Shrimp, and it was a great choice. The presentation was on point, and although I'm not the biggest fan of Sriracha, it worked really well here. The crispy shrimp paired perfectly with the slaw and spring mix underneath. For my entrée, I went with the Steel City Philly Cheesesteak with fries, and all I can say is... that was a good sammich. My only critique is the bread. I'm a stickler for toasted bread, especially on a sandwich loaded with grilled peppers, mayo, and, let's be honest, a little grease. The top bun was just a tad too toasted, while the bottom bun softened up pretty quickly. Even so, the sandwich was flavorful enough that I didn't mind too much. Unfortunately, I filled up faster than expected, but everything I ate was definitely worth it. The service matched the quality of the food. I was checked on regularly without feeling hovered over, and I had great rapport with my server. It was refreshing to be somewhere that actually gives a damn and makes you feel like you're getting your money's worth. This is one of those gastropubs that's comfortable, low-key, and just an all-around vibe. We have been here before a few times and it had been a while so we decided to come back to give it another shot. I'll start with the good- the server/bartender was great! She was so friendly and a trooper serving us outside in the heat. We started with the philly cheesesteak egg roll promo offer we received. The egg rolls had great flavor but were really greasy. They could've been set on a rack to drain excess grease off after the fryer, but the flavor was great. I also ordered the spicy asian chicken wings and the sweet potato fries and they were really good! Now for the bad- we also ordered the chicken quesadilla- NOT good. It was so greasy that the grease was oozing out when he would take a bite and was pooled on the plate. We also found it very odd that it was just served with what we think was a side of spicy ranch. No lettuce, no pico, no salsa, & no sour cream- not our idea of a good quesadilla at all.... Overall, the service was great but the food- not so much. This is a place I would swing in to grab a beer and maybe an appetizer on the patio if nearby, but would not go out of my way to go for food. read more

If you enjoy sitting outdoors to eat, this is a great spot. They have great outdoor seating. I miss their Chicago dogs. I tried the afterburner hot dogs and they were really good. The sauce was flavorful and the jalapeños gave it the right kick. I enjoyed their tots. I topped it off with a Jade IPA. My son had the chicken bites basket and mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks are huge and really good. The marinara sauce is so tasty. I think in my next visit I will try their chicken wings or hamburger. Hidden gem with great food, drinks, and vibe! We were invited by the co-owner to come check out Bites & Pints, and I'm so glad we did. It was our first visit, and it definitely won't be our last. I had the southwest quesadilla with fries, my husband ordered the burger with kitchen fries, and we also tried the chicken sandwich with fries. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with real care. One thing I truly appreciated was how they packed the loaded fries -- they put the toppings on the side without me even having to ask so the fries wouldn't get soggy. That small detail says a lot about how thoughtful they are with takeout. For drinks, I had a guava margarita (so good), and my husband had a Paloma, which he really enjoyed. The space itself is super inviting, and I loved the creative license plate wall -- such a cool touch. You can tell they've put a lot of love into upgrading the space, and it really shows, especially as the sun starts to go down. We were on a tight schedule, so we ended up taking our food to go, but we're already planning to come back and fully dine in. This is definitely one of those spots you'll want to keep in rotation. Bites & Pints in Greensboro is an absolute gem--especially if you're a fan of great chicken wings and even better service. The wings are easily the star of the show: perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. Whether you like them classic or with a little extra kick, they definitely don't disappoint. What really made the experience stand out, though, was the customer service. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything came out just right. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers, which makes a huge difference. I'm very grateful that they were very considerate when I drove over for over an hour and found out they were turning customers away due to a leak problem in the kitchen. Had three large shrimp on each soft taco shell topped with slaw, cheese and spicy mayo. My daughter got the fried chicken tacos minus the toppings with only cheese. My daughter said that the chicken had good flavor. We also tried their burgers, which were hand pattied not frozen. They had good seasoning. The French fries were also good and seasoned. We had a big group (20+), and our server handled it with ease. Our food came out quickly, and accurately. They also accommodated the kids in our group, which is always a plus for this parent. My go-to is the Breakfast Burger, and it's one of my favorites in the Triad. It was cooked perfectly, and topped with an over-easy egg, with the yolk running over my fresh and crispy tots. Pro tip: add some Texas Pete to your burger. Our kids gobbled up their tots...and ours. They were perfectly crispy and hot. Disclaimer: I'm hoping my experience was unique, for my sake, your sake, and the sake of the employees. I came to Bites & Pints because I had a craving for fried pickles and I'd read that theirs were great, and they absolutely lived up to the hype -- crispy, flavorful, and served with ranch that passed this Midwest girlie's test. We also had the Southwest Philly egg roll appetizer (after deciding we weren't trying to stay there long enough to have entrees). They were...okay I guess, (more Southwest than Philly, definitely served with a nacho cheese instead of beer cheese), but I digress. The atmosphere inside, though, was rough. Everyone looked and acted like they didn't want to be there. First, we sat within earshot as the manager (I'm assuming) argued with the bartender about staying later just to take our order. He eventually came over and got our drinks and appetizer in, but it felt begrudging at best. Then Sarah, our server, stepped in -- she was upbeat, kind, and doing her best to keep things positive -- but right after, he sprung a scheduling change on her within earshot of us, telling her an hour and a half before closing that she'd be working the morning shift. As someone who's worked in the service industry, it gave me flashbacks in the worst way. Sarah was the saving grace of the night, but the overall vibe inside was stressful and unprofessional. It honestly ruined both mine and my husband's mood to the point where instead of going out for desert or a night cap, we just went home. I got the burger with tator tots and fries and was very satisfied. The burger was fairly juicy and had good flavor. It came with some sauce on it that I am not sure what it consisted of but was good and not overwhelming. The fries and tator tots were good and I would get them again as a side or as an appetizer with a drink. We did not go inside but the outdoor patio seating was pleasant and spacious. we came to this location with high expectations. My wife ordered the Hawaiian meal and it had so much lime in it. She could not drink it. Stopped in for dinner again with a group of about 20 people after our run club's annual run through Sunset Hills' xmas display. We called ahead, and they were gracious enough to get a table set up for our group. Arriving after a chilly runny, we were warmly welcomed and provided menus. They've got a full bar, with a pretty decent beer selection. They also have a pretty good variety of items on their menu, though all are pretty much bar food. The waitress came through taking our drink orders first and once the drinks had been distributed, she made another pass for food orders. This time, I was in a burger mood, and decided to try the Breakfast Burger, with cheese, egg over easy and bacon, with tots as my side. Considering the size of our group, they were able to turn the food out pretty quickly, and it tasted great. The overeasy egg definitely made it messy, but it was still good, and helped fill my hunger. If I did it again, i may ask to have the egg a little more cooked, as a runny egg typically isn't my thing. In the end, it was a great time, with good food, and good friends. Firstly, food was delicious! Came here with some girlfriends for a quick dinner and drinks. I ordered the chicken and waffle sandwich which was very flavorful and good. They both got burgers which they enjoyed! The outdoor seating area is spacious and even has a dinosaur for photo ops. Unfortunately, service this day was struggling, but not by fault of the restaurant. A wait staff member quit during the dinner rush and I was so impressed by the waitress that had to take on not only the indoor seating but outdoor as well. Ordered a beer, my girl ordered a guava mixed drink with Jalapeños. I took one sip and immediately pushed my beer to the side and requested one of what she was having. Unfortunately, they ran out of guava mix. However, the bar tender adapted and mixed in some peach mix and it was on point. I tried to drink my drink fast and I couldn't due to the spiciness. But it was great. By far one of the best mixed drinks I've had. Ordered the shrimp appetizer as well as the cheesesteak egg rolls. 9/10. Main course was the chicken and waffle plate. Ended up at this location for lunch today after attempting to go to Hops Burger Bar next door (that was closed today). It's a quant little environment with both indoor & spacious patio seating. The staff was attentive to our needs & special requests. I was craving a big juicy burger (with jalapeños added of course) & they delivered. It was MESSY, but in the best way possible. The fries were fantastic & the homemade ranch was the special touch. The "secret sauce" was not my forte as it ended up tasting like thousand island dressing, but to each their own. Didn't get a chance to test out the bar today but wouldn't be opposed to coming back! The food was good, but nothing that really set them apart. We came here with our new puppy and grabbed a bite and a brew on a Saturday afternoon. The place is smallish on the inside but had inside and outside seating. Our server was immediately in love with the puppy and brought out a big glass of water for the bowl we brought. We ordered two of the Kitchen Sink Tots...ONE IS ENOUGH TO SPLIT. I am emphasizing this because it is a fact. The large bowl of tots was covered Loaded with chili, pepper jack cheese, homemade beer cheese, tomatoes, pickled jalapenos, fresh chopped bacon topped with cilantro, green onions...yes the kitchen sink and it was ginormous. We finished half each completely full and took the rest home. We had a couple of NC beers, I couldn't tell you their origin, a stout, and a vanilla porter. We initially intended to go to another neighboring restaurant but after seeing how incredibly busy they were we decided to try Bites and Pints after quickly looking at their rating on Yelp. We are thankful we checked it out! We walked in and while it was moderately busy, we were able to grab two seats at the bar. We were provided menus and drinks promptly. My wife ordered the Bites and Pints burger and chose the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. Our meals were delivered in a timely fashion and looked awesome. Unfortunately, I saw a mushroom right on top of my Philly Cheese Steak sandwich but knew the menu did not include mushrooms on the Philly Cheese Steak. We brought it to our servers attention and he double checked the menu and acknowledged it did not state mushrooms were on the sandwich and quickly took the sandwich back to the kitchen to get it fixed. We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday morning, with our 2 kids and dog in tow. They were very busy for Saturday brunch and have limited outdoor seating so we were told we would be seated in 10-15 minutes. Brunch crowds tend to hang out at tables for longer, so we ended up waiting for about an hour. By the time we were seated, we were famished and placed our entire order all at once at about 12:30. We ordered the ahi appetizer to hold us over until our entrees came out and it was satisfying. Our entrees were the southwest omelette, the patty melt, the green chili burger, and an order of waffles. Though everything was delicious, the green chili burger came out undercooked, and so it was barely eaten unfortunately. We will try B&P again, but maybe on a less busy day, since their service is not as great when they are busy. read more
