Very generous portion sizes and phenomenal flavors. The breakfast club standout was the pork sausage. Absolutely excellent and elevated that flavor profile to the highest degree. If you get the chilaquiles, I highly recommend getting both salsas. It offers a great contrast of flavors. I got mine with the birria meat and I was completely satisfied. The blueberry hushpuppies were an amazing surprise. Like deep fried donut holes. The cinnamon butter that goes alongside it was a perfect pairing. Finally, the beignets were melt in your mouth good. Like flaky funnel cakes. I want to give a special shoutout to our server Raegan. She was great in recommending items along with making our drinks to order. Lastly, the ambience of the entire restaurant was cozy and friendly. It may be a lot for some but you feel like family as you sit next to strangers who are all melting with every single bite they take. 11/10

This is just me but the type of food it is feels more like a place you would walk up to the counter and order and have it brought to you versus a sit down service. However, with the added alcoholic beverages, I guess it kind of makes sense. The feel of it just felt very mixed. It was sit down with service but also felt very sports bar/fast casual. I personally would have been fine with a walk up counter where I could order drinks and food and then pick my spot to sit down. We started with some drinks. I got a blueberry mojito and my husband got an old fashioned. We had very different experiences. My blueberry mojito I questioned whether there was any alcohol in it and it tasted just okay. I would not order again. My husband however said his old fashioned was one of the best he has had in the triad. He said it was very spirit forward and they didn't try to water it down with adding unnecessary extras. He would definitely get his again. From the burger standpoint, we both got the Joey's classic. I got it with one patty and he got it with double patties. I thought it tasted good but nothing that made me say wow. I also got the Mac n cheese side that also was just okay; felt very commercial Mac n cheese versus a unique one done by a restaurant; almost like a fast food Mac n Cheese if that makes sense. Husband liked his burger and said he would get it again and also liked his side of fries. If it had just been me that went, I would have rated it likely a 3 but given that my husband had a good experience, I am rating it higher.

We are…read morealways looking for a spot with raw oysters and this one is about a 20 min drive from our house so we decided to give it a go. Boy am I glad we did. We got to the restaurant around 4 when they opened and decided to sit at the bar. They are located in a strip mall which can be hard to find but just look for RIDGE in big block letters. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful when it came to selecting menu items (the menu is on a chalk board behind the bar). We told her we had never been in and she made sure to make our dinner special. We started with the mussels and oysters and I knew after those two dishes we would absolutely be back again and again. The broth the mussels are cooked in was divine and I loved that they gave us bread and butter on the side to go with it. The oysters had a hollandaise sauce which really brought the baked oysters with spinach, onion, and bacon together. For our entrees my husband got scallops in a Cajun cream sauce with grit cakes which was phenomenal and I got the sesame crusted flounder with collards and grits. The fish was so plump and juicy and I loved the hot sauce on the table to go with it. The collards were nice and vinegary like I like them and the grits were creamy. For dessert we decided on the banana bread pudding and it was an absolute show stopper. So much so it's going down as a best dish of 2026 for me. In all our experience was fantastic and I can't wait to return to try more of their menu!
