This little place has varied menu. But we were here for the hotdogs today and it was well worth the trip. They offer two different hotdogs on their menu. is one is an all beef dog and the other is a traditional red dog. Either can be dressed anyway you want them. All the way is chili, mustard, onions, and slaw. First, for extra points, the buns were perfectly toasted. Second, the onions were fresh! Too many restaurants are cutting corners by purchasing chopped onions from the food service guys. DON'T DO IT! I can spot 'em a mile away. Just don't do it! These onions were chopped this morning. The slaw is made fresh each morning. It is crisp, and sweet with just the right amount of mayo. The chili was very good. Also made on site everyday. I tried one of each, and while both were good, I enjoyed the red better. Just had more flavor. Also $1 cheaper! Both a tad pricey, but two of us got out for about $16+tip. They do take plastic, but there is a 3% charge. All in all, this is a very good hotdog in a region full of good dogs. These are about 50 minutes from Winston-Salem. read more

The service was okay, but the food was terrible. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. I don't know what type of process that chicken went through, but it wasn't grilled chicken. It sat on a bed of iceberg lettuce with chopped up tomatoes. I ate some of the lettuce and tomatoes, and took the rest home for the dog, since I had to pay for it. When I informed the waitress that it was terrible, she did nothing. Will never eat there again. It was greasy food. I can't believe people have actually given this place 5 stars. read more

Ate here for lunch yesterday, not impressed. It was What the Hey Festival downtown, but with that being said, we waited 50 minutes for food that was barely warm when we got it. It definitely wasn't the staff because they were doing their best with only a few employees. I do blame owners when they know an event like this is coming and they don't properly prepare to be slammed. I will give them a second chance but for now two stars is all I have. 8-19-22 update : We hit Beach House Grill again today. As soon as we walked in, they recognized us. Nothing better than feeling like family. So let me tell you about the best pretzels and beer cheese I've ever had. They are FRIED. So crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with the perfect amount of chewiness. You get 4 and we took 2 home. I got the Cheeseburger Club and planned to take out the center piece of Texas Toast. Shannon did it for me which was great because I didn't lose any mayo or juiciness that way. I ate every bite. Plus the house made fried squash for only 50 cents more was phenomenal! It didn't even need the ranch dressing but I still ate it because, why not? Hubs got the South of the Border Burger with tots. Both items were great! I thought the beachy golf cart would've been the owners. Nope. You can actually drive golf carts on the street, so it was a customer's! Some of the food was good, some wasn't. They were out of jalapeños poppers, "boardwalk" fries are really crinklecut frozen ones, and the spicy cauliflower came out still frozen in the center. No apologies when waitress was informed. Waitress kept coming back to take our order but after that she never came back until we were done. Hawaiian burger was good with a nice sweet barbecue sauce. Again with the crinklecut fries that were still white because they didn't cook them long enough. Ranch dressing was nice and thick, not watered down like a lot of places do. We tried to get the four piece pretzel appetizer but instead got one large pretzel. Taste was great but it was very hard. Shrimp wrap was very good but would have been nice to have a knife to cut in half. The place is very nicely decorated and has a good atmosphere, just could do better with service and food. read more

Here visiting from out of town and came in for a "quick" lunch before heading to the track tonight. Slowest service i have ever received and still have yet to get drinks. We ordered food 20 minutes ago after being seated for 20 minutes before receiving any service. A table that was seated after us received their drinks already and were still waiting on food. Beach house is messy 5 star. They do not skimp on the toppings the burgers are yuge!! I got the Bacon cheese and my cousin fiancé got the Brando's Big boy burger. You will leave full. Our waitress Rachel was awesome and honest. Will be back. read more

Bar lady is super nice and a teacher! Lots of average beer choices if you need a quick swallow. With that being said we had not one but TWO unexpected visitors with us tonight. Two roaches, one full grown crawling on the bar and a "baby". The lady apologized but took nothing off or anything other than her apology. Their food? Do yourself a favor...Go to Walmart's frozen food section, cook your own stuff in your clean home for 20 mins, and it's probably better than what you would've gotten. I wanted to like this little local joint, I really did. But goodness we can't go back after this last visit. read more

The beach house has the best hamburger in a 25 mile radius. Its not a frozen "heat up and throw it out to your customer product" like some of the other area places serve, instead it appears to be a handmade burger. Are there other positives? Absolutely! The place has a friendly staff with a great "old school bar/restaurant" atmosphere and plenty of places to put your rear end. Frankly, I wish I could've given than six stars! read more

One of my favorite restaurants is the Beach House Grille. I go there at least once a week. They serve the best burgers in Rockingham County. The burgers are large handmade patties. They also offer a variety of sides. My favorite side is the fried mushrooms. Friendly place to visit... give it a try! Rude customer service. We were told everyone had to wear a mask in the establishment. I asked even when I eat. She said no only at the table. Table was 10 feet away from the walk in counter. Later as I'm sitting down I see and hear because the table is so close, other people coming in with no mask. The lady says nothing to them. I guess I'm the only chump who has to wear a mask. Food was garbage. I guess flavor cost extra cause our food didn't have any. Club Sandwich made with prepackaged deli meat you buy from the store and no flavor/taste. Wife got the BLT. BLT was gross. Bacon was burned and crumbled up instead of bacon strips like a BLT is supposed to be. Will not go back here ever gain. read more

The Beach House Grille is what got us started going down to Mayodan to eat. We've been a couple of times and like their burgers but some of the selections are more novel than good. We haven't tried the burger sandwiched between two grilled cheese sandwiches. We're too old for that and I'd hate to explain it at ER after having a coronary on the spot. I did try the Shipwreck burger that has two fried cheese sticks and an onion ring as part of the burger. Meh. I'd recommend sticking to the other burger selections here with more "normal" toppings like BBQ and pineapples. read more

My favorite Restaurant. Our food was amazing tonight. I love the staff! They are always so friendly and the service is on point. I got the Mango Habanero wings, with a side of the bacon ranch pasta. They did a special request for my husband and made a Cajun fish wrap that was out of this world not to mention it was huge wrap. They have the best home made ranch! We both got a draft beer and they were nice and cold! Also if you like chicken they have the best grilled chicken. On a salad or a wrap. Love this place! read more

Tried them for the first time today. Food tastes great and the service was excellent. The food came out quickly which is a plus. I had the Big Kahuna burger with sweet potato fries. The burger delicious, juicy, and huge! I could barely hold the burger. Sweet potato fries were good and the housemade sweet sauce for dipping them was amazing. read more

Food is decent. I however did notice that this place uses Great Value products (Walmart brand). Not to happy about that, that's just me though. Wait staff are not up to par by any means. Waitress did not refill drinks, bring napkins.etc in a timely manner. Also employees here were not very upbeat/friendly and this was my first time here. At the end of my meal I found a long hair in my ranch! I spoke to someone about it and they did everything but handle it the way it should have been handled. I think the food is very good, beers are good as well. The wait person seems surly and I'm pretty sure she hates her job. Wish they had more waitstaff, it's usually a long time between refills. We got there 14 minutes before closing and they pushed us away. read more
