Kids: I eat Q. I dream Q. Every year, my two brothers and I get in a rental Mustang convertible and drive until we see a pig on a sign. We pull over, get out, eat Q, get back in and drive. I like my Q. Brisket or pulled pork especially. The is good Q. Nice place, good sauce, plenty of everything and the Q itself was moist and tasty. Smoke ring where it should be. Tangy and sweet. Unsweetened tea and life is good. Whoever is telling you not to order the mozzarella sticks here is missing the point. Don't order the chocolate soufflé here, either. That's not what this is about. It's about pleasant staff bringing good Q in a clean place at good prices. It's my second time here and I will be happy to get a third.

We found Fuzzy's BBQ on the NC BBQ Trail. We read some mixed reviews so we're unsure what to expect. Our experience was fantastic & reminiscent of BBQ restaurants of 40 years ago. The restaurant is plain inside & out, but there is a warmth inside that makes you feel like you are at home. They are as much a southern country restaurant as the are a BBQ restaurant. We had a BBQ plate with crinkle cut fries & fried okra. The BBQ was juicy & came out without sauce. They provided us with a home-made warm sauce to add as desired. The sauce was very good... vinegar, tomato sauce/ketchup & peppers. It was not too spicy just perfect. The okra was made in-house. My son had a BBQ sandwich with fries. He enjoyed. My wife had a fried chicken filet sandwich & fried squash. She loved it. The sandwich had a whole filleted chicken breast likely deep fried. I tried it & would order if I could get past the fine BBQ. The squash was also good. The service was some of the best southern hospitality I have experienced in a while. I would highly recommend you seek out & try their food!!!! You

One of NC's oldest BBQ smokehouses, owned by one of my cousins until recently, produced some of the tastiest BBQ in the Piedmont.

This restaurant does NOT disappoint! We really enjoyed our experience at this relaxed restaurant. Rebecca, our server, did an excellent job anticipating our needs and flawlessly ensured our order was correct. She was awesome! Food is UNBELIEVABLY EXCELLENT! The brisket and pulled pork was perfectly done! The potato salad and banana pudding were great. My son had the half-rack of ribs and the portion they brought out looked like a whole rack. We've never seen our son eat ribs so quickly - he devoured them in what was likely a record time, and if you knew this kid - he doesn't get in a hurry for anything...but had we reached over his plate we would likely be missing fingers... lol The brisket was tender, juicy, and very flavorful. My wife enjoyed the chicken and brisket. The collard greens were perfectly done. The sauces were great! Banana pudding was the best you can get aside from having homemade. We live about 40 minutes from this restaurant and in another county - but we will now be regular fixtures at this restaurant. They are definitely the G.O.A.T. in a 4 county area! Do give them a try!

She was busy holding down the fort-taking orders and cooking too. I later learned that it was a family run business. I ordered the "spicey meatloaf" with 2 sides (there were a lot of side options to choose from). My two sides were fried okra and stuffing. She ordered the chopped bar-b-que pork with coleslaw and mac 'n cheese. We sampled each other's food with the satisfied expression of closed eyes and a 'MMMM" while eating. Everything was DEE-liscious! Wonderfully seasoned, great portions and perfectly cooked. It's one of those times when I wished that I had a bigger belly or a clone, so that I could try more food!...or pick up and move to Yanceyville NC! Other patrons asked a lot of questions about the other menu items. That's when I learned about their "black cornbread". The owner said it was her father's recipe. It uses black cornmeal and other spices. We took ours to go and later (really) enjoyed it back at our hotel. The owner/cook also gave us a sample of her chicken salad. It was so so good, seasoned wonderfully...more reason to be fatter to be able to eat more!! I would recommend anything and everything there, because I'm sure it's cooked right and with love! Thanks Briggs for helping me appreciate wonderful southern/BBQ food!

When I walked in…read morethe door I was expecting your typical NC BBQ joint, but was surprised to find it's a Jamaican restaurant now. It looks like the restaurant recently changed hands and the new ownership is taking it in a new direction. Consequently the menu is a mashup of the old menu and Jamaican dishes. I was very pleasantly surprised with my curry chicken served with rice and cabbage. It was a typical Jamaican yellow curry with bone-in chicken and potatoes. The curry was very flavorful, but not spicy. In hindsight, I should have asked if they had some Jamaican scotch-bonnet hot sauce to spice things up a bit. The cabbage, cooked with ham hocks or something similar was fantastic; it was the best cabbage I've had in a long time. All in all, my meal was excellent. My wife tried the BBQ. The fries were cooked to order, the slaw was creamy, but the BBQ was a disappointment. I tried a bite and it reminded me of the sort of pork BBQ that you can buy in the grocery store. It was a definite meh, at best. My curry chicken was definitely a 4-star meal, while the BBQ rates 2-stars, so everything averages out to 3 stars. That said, I suspect that if you stick with the Jamaican menu, you're likely to get a 4-star or better meal. One last thing: If you pay with a credit card, they hit you up with a 4% upcharge. Disappointing.

My dining companion tried the combination chopped and coarse chopped pork BBQ while I just had chopped BBQ. My serving of chopped 'Q was moist, flavorful and had just the right amount of smokiness. The coarsely chopped BBQ was also very good but not quite as moist. The red BBQ slaw was very good and not spicy. We each received a serving of just-out-of-the-fryer hush puppies. I thought they were very tasty and had a perfect amount of onion. The fries were served hot, but were just typical frozen potatoes, so I probably skip them next time. Pro tip: try just a drop of the house sauce before slathering it all over your meal. It's a bit spicy so make sure it works well for your palette. We split an order of cherry cobbler for dessert and received a very large serving big enough for at least 3 people. It was warm, good, and not super sweet.
