I've been to a few First Watch locations in Ohio so when it came to Burlington I decided to go once…read morethe initial crowds died down since I didn't remember the food being that memorable. I went early one Saturday morning before the rush (crowds were appearing by the time we left at 9:30a) and were quickly seated in a booth by the window with lots of natural light. The restaurant was clean and well appointed with modern rustic decor and our waitress was super attentive and friendly. I did a bit of research before ordering to only order the most popular dishes in hope of making some memories this time around. I ordered the morning meditation juice which was a perfect mix of their fresh squeezed orange juice, lemon juice, beet juice, turmeric, ginger and agave nectar. Perfect way to start my morning in the sunlight. For my main breakfast entree I got the lemon ricotta pancakes which came with 2 HUGE pancakes the size of the plate. Even though the lemon curd appeared to be a dollop, it was enough for the whole dish since the lemon was very prominent to the point syrup was not needed. The berries were fresh and the pancakes were cooked to perfection (soft with lightly crispy edges). I also enjoyed a hot cup of table side coffee with my drink. I drink it black so I found the plain coffee to have a nice flavor and wasn't bitter at all. Now the million dollar bacon ehhhh.... I heard someone ask if they were thick, not at all. I found the honey to overpower the other seasonings so it was just basic bacon with honey in my opinion. Not worth the almost $7 price tag or the million in the name. If I am in the mood for a solidly good fresh breakfast in a nice atmosphere I'll be sure to stop by, but I wouldn't wait longer than 15 minutes for it.

We were seated within 5 minutes and our server was attentive and nice. Cozy ambience with low romantic lighting. Great for a date. Love all the beautiful flowers in the outdoor garden near the entrance. Food was very tasty but also very rich and heavy. Portions are large so you may want to order a lunch portion if you're not bringing a huge appetite. My Chicken Parmagiano was delicious but 3 people could have split it (I wasn't super hungry). My partner's Alfredo (he added shrimp) was too oily for his taste, but it was good. We both felt sluggish and needed a nap after eating which is not our norm; we generally eat lighter dishes like salads. I recommend that the restaurant start adding a birthday dessert or something special for guests celebrating their birthday at the restaurant.

And yet, that would be a mistake, because the quintessential diner food served up here is very, very good, and they've been doing it for 38 years now. One reviewer said that TGK stands for The Greek Kitchen, or it might be the initials of the owner, T. G. Kantsoulas, and he still runs the place along with his wife, Olympia, who still does the cooking. And that cooking is very good, utilizing quality ingredients and family recipes, which includes a few Greek dishes - a Gyro and Souvlaki. We settled on the Spaghetti with house made Meat Sauce, a Hot Dog ATW, a Double Cheeseburger, and Tater Tots. Olympia does all the cooking, generally to order, so time out of the kitchen is not exactly fast food speed. The Spaghetti was excellent, with plenty of noodles. You can order more meat sauce for $1, and we did, and it was even better. The sauce is made in house, and there is a nice sharp tomato taste. The accompanying side salad was fresh, and the Blue Cheese Dressing was very good. The hot dog was super - a nice wiener, great slaw, and the home made chili was very meaty, and loaded with flavor - this is my kind of old school Chili Dog. The double cheeseburger was big, and was excellent , as well - a perfect diner style burger. The Tater Tots simply could not have been any better. Seriously, they are every bit as good as the ones at Jake's Billiards in Greensboro that I order every time in. These are friendly folks, serving up excellent food. Give it a try - just know what you're coming for, and what you're coming to, and you'll be pleased.

I stopped here because I was hungry and wanted to take a break from all the running around. Plus I could have a cheeseburger and a beer, but of course that had nothing to do with it. There were two gentlemen working at the time both very polite. Asked if I could have chili on a double cheeseburger and I was told I absolutely could and asked what else I wanted. So I got my cheeseburger with fries and a beer. I was the only person in there but it was also a weekday in the middle of the day. They brought my food to me and I got to sit down and enjoy it while watching the Addams family on television. It was pretty relaxing actually. The place is spotless, brightly lit, and the tables have lots of space between them which is really nice. The classic TV was also nice. I'm really glad they didn't have news or sports on.
