Monterey club with multigrain bread and tomato soup

This place was a great lunch date for me and my wife. Clean, friendly atmosphere. Service was very good. Loved the menu options for breakfast, brunch or lunch. We both went with sandwiches and she got a side of tomato soup and I got greens. I would actually give the food 4 1/2 stars. Nothing was wrong or tasted bad just the tomato soup was a bit rich for our taste and the greens were a little too much (quantity). They had a soup of the day but with a turkey club sandwich tomato seemed to pair better than broccoli and cheddar. It would have been perfect with a chicken noodle type soup. We will definitely be back to try some other things.

Mom and I went here for breakfast. Our waitress was okay... meaning she didn't do anything special, but bring us our food. I mean, we actually placed our drink & food order with another waitress because we sat there for awhile. I ordered a mimosa. I don't understand why restaurants use "pulp" orange juice for mimosas... that a BIG FAT NO! But I ordered the "The Works" omelet, which was a great choice. Food was good and the restaurant appeared clean. I would visit again!

Went here for breakfast this morning pretty early. Before 8 am so they were not too busy for a saturday. Which was nice. The staff was attentive but they did get my order wrong, I asked for an English muffin and got toast instead, but i wasnt too bothered with it. Everything was clean, the food came out quickly. It was pricey in my opinion. The food itself was really good though. So, overall a good experience.

I had a buy one get one free coupon for my birthday so we gave it a try. The wait was about 1 hr. I went on line to get in line and did a couple errands do wait about was 15 minutes. The food was fresh and good. The salad per se didn't have any flavor. I think if you going to go do breakfast not lunch.

IYKYK..just in case you don't.. it was a great brunch with great tasting food. I had the trifecta! The kale tonic was amazing. Corey was our server and he was friendly and had jokes. It was a good dining experience. The restaurant was clean and inviting.

As a native Floridian where First Watch is everywhere, I was ecstatic to hear that it was coming to Burlington! First Watch is a breakfast, brunch, & lunch, chain restaurant but there's a reason why you can find it everywhere. The food is high quality! I went with my husband on a Sunday morning. There was no wait when we went there, but pro tip if you go on the weekend is to either go before 9am or join the waitlist on their website. I ordered avocado toast and it came with 2 eggs cooked your way - I chose scrambled. The avocado was FRESH and they gave me a generous portion of it. My husband ordered the Banana Granola Almond Crunch Pancakes. Their pancakes are delicious and large. Service was friendly and quick. The restaurant is new, so everything was still in good shape and clean. This is a great spot for consistently good food for everyone!

Yes Yelpers it was that good, I jumped right in and realized ooops I need a picture

Welcome welcome "First Watch" to the Burlington area!! What a great location pick and well use and transformation of an existing building. The colors outside are perfect and the grounds were well cleaned and maintained. We were welcomed upon entering and then taken to our seats right away. In our case we didn't need a menu because we are "First Watch" veterans The service was great, quick and the food correct and hot. Delicious, not a crumb left on our plates. So thank you for yet another wonderful experience in another city!!

First time to this specific location. Mother's Day was obviously busy so there was a long line. However, the place was very clean and our server was very friendly. Food came out quick and was delicious. Will be back!

Very nice staff. Area was clean. We came close to closing... about 45 t minutes til. The attendant didn't know which servers were working so we moved once. Not a problem. The server was very helpful and friendly. Food came out relatively quickly. The chicken sausage came out very blackened and had to be replaced. She said it was too crunchy and burnt. My potatoes were slight too salty but still tasty. The food portions are massive and the drink was delicious. I got the one with the lemon, beets, turmeric and ginger. I really liked the rústica frittata. It was cooked perfectly with fresh veggies. Everything tasted like it was prepared fresh. The pancakes are massive. So much that we couldn't finish even after sharing. My suggestions would be to watch the sausages not ro burn them and lay back slightly on the seasoning. The frittata was delicious but also slightly on the salty side. Plenty of parking and easily accessible. I do with they would ask if you want a table or booth. We weren't given an option and table seating is hard for people with disabilities when the seats don't have arms.

For a new restaurant fine.. but hope to host gets better had an argument with a server in front of us.. server was lovely just slower. Food is amazing I don't think you can go to wrong. Way too crowded in there, but overall nice place. Pancakes are MASSIVE. Could have fed 4 people.

My husband and I stopped in on a Thursday evening around 7pm and the place was pretty full. We sat ourselves at a table in the back room, and I noticed how laid back the place was, which is something I really appreciate. Sadly, it seemed that the relaxed vibe extended a bit too far and reflected on their cleanliness, as I noticed all of the chair rails were dusty, the floors a bit littered, our table sticky, and the plastic menus in need of replacing. Service, however, was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and pretty attentive given how busy she was. My husband was happy with their on tap beer selection, deciding on Red Oak ($3 on Thursdays!). I went with a margarita and it wasn't the best, but thankfully I didn't pay much for it since it was also on special. They were out of the southwestern egg rolls I initially ordered, so I ended up going with the Philly cheesesteak and homemade chips. I enjoyed the cheesesteak's fresh bread; plenty of tender meat, peppers, and onions; and gooey cheese. It could have used more mayonnaise, but it was still quite good. The homemade chips were tasty but undercooked; if I had been hungrier, I definitely would have returned them and asked for a fresh batch. My husband absolutely devoured the cheeseburger and fries he ordered. He said that it was one of the best burgers he's had in quite a while, and this is a guy who loves burgers and eats them often. I want to return to Piedmont Ale House in the future. I think there are some things they seem to do really well, namely burgers and beer at really reasonable prices!

I always want to try and support small business and hope the food is outstanding but today didn't make the mark. Very disappointed in the beef tips and gravy with mac & cheese and squash casserole. I saw a picture from another review and thought it looked very good but mine didn't look anything like the other customers. I was really shocked at how small the portion was especially with the sides and there was hardly any rice up under the beef tips. This is a $15 meal here, I think you could do better than this. I'm a mac & cheese connoisseur and your mac & cheese just doesn't do it for me. Hopefully you could see this constructive criticism and maybe tweak a few things to make it a better experience.

This time I decided to keep things a little more Atkins/keto friendly and ordered a grilled chicken salad and a cup of chili. The total came to just over $26, with the salad alone costing almost $17. I understand prices have gone up everywhere. I can accept that. What I can't accept is paying premium prices while the overall experience falls short. The first issue started before I even got inside. The restaurant was packed, and customers were parked all along the curb directly in front of the designated to go pickup area. That completely blocked access. It took me nearly ten minutes of circling the parking lot, backing up near the dumpster, moving again, and eventually squeezing my truck into a parking space (in the "to-go" pick up area where I'm supposed to be anyway) just to pick up my order. When you're that busy, parking becomes part of the customer experience. At some point management needs to step in and help keep traffic moving instead of allowing the pickup area to become unusable (don't tell me I'm wrong because I'll tell you what not only did. I have to navigate that situation due to cars being along the curb in front of the to go area, but two other vehicles that were parked in the to go spaces had nobody in them and I was there for 10 minutes waiting for my food so those people were inside eating in the restaurant I presume-given that I observed their empty vehicles for a total of 20 minutes). To be fair, the employee who brought my order out was excellent. She greeted me with a smile, was friendly, professional, and was easily the brightest part of the entire experience. Then I got home and opened the salad. For $17, this was honestly disappointing. The chicken, bacon, and toppings had simply been simply tossed in there, while the rest was mostly plain, sad looking lettuce. It looked rushed and careless, especially considering the price. The first of several photos are exactly how the salad looked the moment I opened the container on my kitchen counter. I hadn't touched it or moved anything around. The last photo, however, my awesome lady was able to turn that same salad into something amazing in just a couple of minutes. SHE chopped up some pepperoni that we already had in the refrigerator, diced a little Colby Jack cheese, added tomatoes, mixed everything together, and finished it with ranch dressing and a level 10 appearance on the plate. She didn't have to cook anything. She simply took the time to prepare it the way a $17 salad probably should have looked when it left the restaurant. The chili was good, and I'll absolutely give credit where it's due. Drake's still has menu items I enjoy, and I've had plenty of good meals there over the years. But when you're charging premium prices, customers deserve the same level of quality whether the restaurant is half full or packed to the walls. Being busy explains delays. It doesn't excuse lowering the standard. I genuinely hope Drake's takes this as constructive feedback because I know they can do better. I've seen them do better!
