First time visiting grill 584. We came for lunch and were greeted with a nice atmosphere and hostess at the check-in station. We chose to order beer as we are waiting for another colleague to come. The server was very nice and attentive. He continued to check on us while we waited for our colleague to come. I chose the brisket sandwich with the addition of bacon and a side of fries. Be sure to get the creamy horseradish sauce. Everything was delicious! I found the sandwich to be a little greasy, but the flavor and sauce made up for it! I 100% recommend it. read more

As soon as we walked through the door, the music and the ambiance put me in a good mood! After reading a couple of reviews we ordered the pimento cheese and potato appetizer. So yummy! I could have made that a whole meal but we ordered the shrimp scampi and the fried lump crab and the shrimp! Delicious! We also ordered dessert because we just had to after the amazing lunch. The Crème Brûlée and the Key Lime pie was the best we've had! Definitely coming back! read more

During a tour of the Burlington area, we stayed at a Best Western Plus. We didn't check in until about 6pm, and really didn't want to wander too far for dinner. Grill 584 is basically attached to the BW, and the Yelp reviews were pretty good. So it made our choice easy. We walked right in. We had the tahini hummus for an appetizer, which was very good. My wife went with the Mahi Mahi, and I had the Rhiana's French Quarter fettuccine. Everything was really good, as was the service. This is the kind of place I would recommend visiting, even if you are not staying at the hotel. read more

This visit left much to be desired. I was seated promptly which was the highlight of the service. Chewy, sinewy steak. Lack luster creamed spinach that was under seasoned and seemed microwaved. Some in my group liked their food (specifically the crab cakes) but most did not have good things to say about the sides. It was tolerable enough to not complain but not good enough to have again. Waitresses here consistently seem to be tasked with having too many tables to manage at a time. We were seated for 25 minutes before drink orders and 50 minutes before our food orders were taken. read more

Highly recommended, great place to eat and network with others. Recommended to everyone that visits the area. Great Food!

Outside grounds very well kept. Old world rustic inside decor. Very clean. Seated quickly. We ordered and the potions sizes were well planned. Service was good. Thank you for a great luncheon. We will visit again soon read more

I had heard great things about Grill 584 and wanted to love it, too. However, I was unimpressed from beginning to end. Starting with the Five Eight Four Trio, which did not stand out at all! The spinach dip tasted like something straight from a grocery store freezer, and the crab dip (as others have mentioned) had a strong fishy, tuna-like taste rather than a crab flavor. Definitely disappointing. On a positive note, the pita chips were great! Moving on to the entree, the Salmon Rockefeller was underwhelming and the twice-baked stuffed potato was giving frozen Ore Ida baked potato...zero flavor! The ambiance was semi-upscale, and the service was good, but it was clear that there weren't enough servers to provide the level of attentiveness expected for the setting. Would I give Grill 584 another try? Probably not. The flavors just didn't match the price tag. read more

3.5 stars rounded up to a 4. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is attached to a Best Western fool ya. LOL. Nice ambience. We were promptly seated although there was a full house. Good food (large pasta portions). Great family atmosphere for an evening out with grandma, the kids, etc. And for those who want a little more adult fun, there is a large bar area. Service was punctual. I wouldn't necessarily recommend the crabcake but, having spent many years in Maryland, I am a little picky about my crabcakes. The one I got here had more breading than lump crabmeat. read more

I love this place, they have perfect prime rib. I have been going there for years. Highly recommended!

2 ate for $56.42 the tip. Salmon was on point and portion is large - the creamed spinach was incredible and went great with the salmon. Their wedge salad is great - Blue Cheese dressing superb. Service good - clean - bread was nice before the meal. read more

The food is outstanding! The salad bar and prime rib are particular favorites of mine, and the service is consistently impressive. My wife and I often split the prime rib, and I'm impressed that the kitchen takes the initiative to divide the steak and sides before it comes out , a true hallmark of world class service! read more

New to Burlington so I thought I would try a good steakhouse for my birthday! Friends had given me a $50 gift certificate so what better way to use it. Looked on line and chose Grill 585. Prime rib came only in 12 ounce portions so I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, baked potato and paid extra for a small side salad. The bread and olive oil were delicious and the salad was large and fresh. My plate arrived and the potato and steak were "cold"! The butter and sour cream didn't even melt on the potato! No one checked after service. Then afterwards, I found they don't accept gift certificates for payment. Guess you can just chalk this up to "live and learn"! read more

My lovely wife took me here for my birthday dinner. The place itself is way bigger than what it looks like on the outside. They give you bread and a herb oil before your entree comes out. The bread was good, wasn't a fan of the oil. Not saying it's bad, just wasn't for my taste buds. I ordered the ribeye steak. It was great and cooked to perfection! Service was very good and attentive. Prices are affordable, even the steaks. They have plenty of other entrees to choose from, so you'll definitely find something you'd like to try. read more

Food was fantastic and the service was great. The waiter was friendly and helpful. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing.

I came here for the salad bar and it was delicious. They have mixed greens, Chicken salad, bacon bits, cheese, fruit, and an array of vegetables. I also got their soup of the day which was bean soup. It was so savory! Their house wine is under $7. This is a great place to catch up with friends and family. Our server was quick and friendly. This is one of Burlingtons best! read more

Grill 584 is a great place to come for delicious steaks and a quiet, intimate meal. The restaurant is slightly upscale but not fancy, making it a great choice for an affordable date night. Their ribeye steaks are some of the best I've had in the Triad and Triangle area - fresh, flavorful, well-trimmed, and seasoned just right. My only qualm is that I wish you could add a one-time trip to the salad bar to your entree for less money. As it currently stands a one-time trip to the salad bar is an additional $8.95 - you can add a garden or caesar side salad for $4.95 or substitute one of these for your side item for $2.95. Their complementary bread is really tasty and the menu is large and has something for everyone, including seafood, burgers, and pasta. Service has always been friendly and attentive. One of my favorite things about the restaurant is that it is very easy to have a conversation without feeling like you are taking over music and the people around you. Overall the prices are reasonable for the portion size. They stay busy so I definitely recommend making a reservation. read more

Another 4.5 star review! The food here is delicious but let me tell you something! If you want a salad bar with the works? This the place. Ya'll know how I feel about sharing my foodie gems. I had a burger. Right. I rave about the salad bar and get a burger. Well, I was in a burger mood that day but I had a side salad not fries. Hearty two-handed burger. You pick your cheese and toppings. With this being a work lunch I took picture of everyone's plate so you could see the gorgeous presentations, portions, variety and deliciousness. Be person did get the salad bar. No picture but he was well pleased. Our server was wonderful. My Diet Coke glass did not stay empty. He was very attentive and checked in often. I've never been to 584 at night. Typically I am here because I want something different or work lunch. The atmosphere is casual. You can tell people on break from work and the friend groups. Lots of space. More than likely you'll be in the main dining area. If you're looking for a place to dine without that chain fast casual lunch rush then this is your spot! No, it won't break the bank. read more

Service was better than I expected ambience was as that of a classic surf and turf restaurant. No fault there. Order a Manhattan . Simple enough, 2 ounces of rye whiskey 1 ounce sweet vermouth two dashes of bitters. Classic 212 Manhattan recipe. What I received was two shots of rye whiskey served chilled straight up as if I was ordering a dry martini. Bar manager please review classic recipes. Now, onto the food. Ordered the prime rib, baked potato with butter and horseradish on the side. No problem, what I received was in a cold reheated piece of prime rib at $40 a plate. I don't think so. The piece of meat was grey on the outside cold to touch. Second attempt was even worse same piece of meat placed in a bath of beef broth to warm it up and put back on the plate. I wouldn't mind if I was eating at a cafeteria, but this is a restaurant that's charging $$$ . At least they' could care about what they are putting on the plate. read more

The food here is always delicious. The martini selection is the best I have found in town. We request Ricky whenever we stop in but I have yet to have a server I don't like. We prefer the ambience of the bar so that we can have a more interactive experience with other guests. read more

I've gone a few times now to Grill 548, but this is my first time leaving a review. Location seems a little odd next door to a Best Western, but do not pass up this place. I think this is the best restaurant in Burlington to celebrate a special occasion or if you just want a nice date night out. I ordered the Prime Rib with asparagus. The steaks are so good here and very reasonably priced. Their salad bar also has a nice selection. Service was great and all the staff (especially the hostess) was friendly. They do not take reservations for parties under 6 on the weekends, but we were seated immediately. I would obviously come back again! read more

This is a great dinner and drinking spot . There is a lot of top end liquors available and some house made specialty drinks that are quite tasty. The food is great, I recommend the cheese burger. I had a limited time item halibut with the creamed spinach and mashed potatoes. Most classy restaurants give bird size portions, not here . I had enough to bring some home. But the best thing here... the chocolate cake. This has got to be one of the best pieces of cake I've ever had. Rich moist cake with creamy fudge layers, and just the right amount of frosting. This cake ***** stars easily. read more

We got great attention from everyone when we went for my birthday lunch. We wanted to be seated in a quiet area and our host found a perfect table. My prime rib sandwich au jus was excellent and my baked potato was perfect. I took half my meal home with me because it was so filling. With my to go box, I had a lovely meal for supper. Overall an excellent visit and I can't wait return. PS they also offer an excellent salad bar, but I didn't try it because my meal was plenty. I chose this restaurant to meet a friend because of the great ratings that I had read on Yelp. I was quite surprised to find it nestled beside the Best Western Motel. The parking lot was full (12:45 pm), and upon going inside was told the wait was about 15 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes, we were seated. Within about 10 minutes, most of the lunch crowd had left. Our waiter took our drink order and returned to the table. My friend asked if there was sugar in grilled chicken marinade. He wasn't sure, so he went to the kitchen and came back and said , "yes." We both decided to order the broiled Carolina Flounder. At that point, my friend said, I think the waiter is upset with us! Obviously, he was.... as he walked by our table numerous times, ignoring my empty goblet of tea. He proceeded to clean tables of several large parties that left almost immediately after we were seated. We received extremely poor service. I was not offered more tea until the waiter brought our checks... at which I declined. The food was 5/5, service was 1/5, ambiance was 5/5. Everything was wonderful except for the service. I would liked to have given Grill 584, five stars... read more

I just landed in Raleigh and dropped my things at hotel. Decided to give Grill 584 a try since reviews looked good. It was 8:32 and they said we're not seating people after 8:30 on a Thursday night. As first time visitors, my friend and I dine here as recommended by yelp reviews and a local resident. The salad from the salad bar was delicious. There were plenty of toppings, including sardines, and condiments to choose from. I was not impressed by the crab cake at all. There was no lump crabmeat present. The crabmeat and filler were minced together as if the meat had been ground or chopped as fine as possible. The cake looked like a salmon pancake. The cake also did not smell or look like a crab cake. I also did not enjoy the grouper as much as I expected to. I felt like it was almost undercooked, and was dry due to the breadcrumbs. Grouper is one my favorite fish, and this dish was far from my expectation. The yams were also too creamy as if the sweet potatoes had been whipped or puréed for a pie. This meal upset my stomach immediately after I left the restaurant and returned home. On the flip side, the blueberry lemon drip drip was decent, the ambiance had an Italian vibe, and staff were friendly. I will be brave and return again to try a different dish that is not seafood. read more

Came here for a family dinner after hearing several recommendations for this place. I was a little apprehensive as this restaurant was attached to a hotel but was pleasantly surprised! The dining area has a cozy feel and an open kitchen which was nice, even though the restaurants decor was a little out dated. We had an excellent server who was friendly and made sure our orders came out hot and correct! I ordered the steak medallions which were flavorful and cooked perfectly. They had a wide range of menu options for a reasonable price! I only wish the "famous" crab dip had more flavor and more crab meat in it. The pita bread was soft and warm but it did not pair well with the almost soggy and barely seasoned crab dip! I would definitely return here on occasion and try a different appetizer and entree. read more

The food was really mediocre and somewhat tasteless. The service and ambiance were fine.

A hidden gem! Was heading to a different steak chain and saw the billboard about Grill 584 so decided to try it. It is located adjacent to a hotel chain which turned us off but agreed to give it a try. So glad we did!! Martinis and food were great!!! Deanna our waitress was awesome! She gave recommendations, split our shared salad, checked in often and was just so friendly! Met James the manager and he told us to ask for him anytime we come in if there's anything he can do. This is a very popular Burlington restaurant located adjacent to the Best Western. Don't be fooled by the location! It's always busy here. The menu has just about anything you could want and everything tastes good. The salad bar is really nice and has a wide variety of all kinds of things. The drinks list is extensive and the martinis start at $8.95 which is just incredibly reasonable! I tried the White Cosmo and the Hot & Dirty martini which definitely had a kick!
