The server was very nice and attentive. He continued to check on us while we waited for our colleague to come. I chose the brisket sandwich with the addition of bacon and a side of fries. During a tour of the Burlington area, we stayed at a Best Western Plus. We didn't check in until about 6pm, and really didn't want to wander too far for dinner. Grill 584 is basically attached to the BW, and the Yelp reviews were pretty good. So it made our choice easy. We walked right in. We had the tahini hummus for an appetizer, which was very good. My wife went with the Mahi Mahi, and I had the Rhiana's French Quarter fettuccine. Everything was really good, as was the service. This is the kind of place I would recommend visiting, even if you are not staying at the hotel. read more

This visit left much to be desired. I was seated promptly which was the highlight of the service. Chewy, sinewy steak. Lack luster creamed spinach that was under seasoned and seemed microwaved. Some in my group liked their food (specifically the crab cakes) but most did not have good things to say about the sides. It was tolerable enough to not complain but not good enough to have again. Waitresses here consistently seem to be tasked with having too many tables to manage at a time. I had heard great things about Grill 584 and wanted to love it, too. However, I was unimpressed from beginning to end. Starting with the Five Eight Four Trio, which did not stand out at all! The spinach dip tasted like something straight from a grocery store freezer, and the crab dip (as others have mentioned) had a strong fishy, tuna-like taste rather than a crab flavor. Definitely disappointing. On a positive note, the pita chips were great! Moving on to the entree, the Salmon Rockefeller was underwhelming and the twice-baked stuffed potato was giving frozen Ore Ida baked potato...zero flavor! The ambiance was semi-upscale, and the service was good, but it was clear that there weren't enough servers to provide the level of attentiveness expected for the setting. New to Burlington so I thought I would try a good steakhouse for my birthday! Friends had given me a $50 gift certificate so what better way to use it. Looked on line and chose Grill 585. Prime rib came only in 12 ounce portions so I ordered the filet mignon medium rare, baked potato and paid extra for a small side salad. The bread and olive oil were delicious and the salad was large and fresh. My plate arrived and the potato and steak were "cold"! The butter and sour cream didn't even melt on the potato! No one checked after service. Then afterwards, I found they don't accept gift certificates for payment. Guess you can just chalk this up to "live and learn"! read more

Simple enough, 2 ounces of rye whiskey 1 ounce sweet vermouth two dashes of bitters. Classic 212 Manhattan recipe. What I received was two shots of rye whiskey served chilled straight up as if I was ordering a dry martini. Bar manager please review classic recipes. Now, onto the food. Ordered the prime rib, baked potato with butter and horseradish on the side. No problem, what I received was in a cold reheated piece of prime rib at $40 a plate. I don't think so. The piece of meat was grey on the outside cold to touch. Second attempt was even worse same piece of meat placed in a bath of beef broth to warm it up and put back on the plate. Grill 584 is a great place to come for delicious steaks and a quiet, intimate meal. The restaurant is slightly upscale but not fancy, making it a great choice for an affordable date night. Their ribeye steaks are some of the best I've had in the Triad and Triangle area - fresh, flavorful, well-trimmed, and seasoned just right. My only qualm is that I wish you could add a one-time trip to the salad bar to your entree for less money. As it currently stands a one-time trip to the salad bar is an additional $8.95 - you can add a garden or caesar side salad for $4.95 or substitute one of these for your side item for $2.95. Their complementary bread is really tasty and the menu is large and has something for everyone, including seafood, burgers, and pasta. Service has always been friendly and attentive. One of my favorite things about the restaurant is that it is very easy to have a conversation without feeling like you are taking over music and the people around you. I think this is the best restaurant in Burlington to celebrate a special occasion or if you just want a nice date night out. I ordered the Prime Rib with asparagus. The steaks are so good here and very reasonably priced. Their salad bar also has a nice selection. Service was great and all the staff (especially the hostess) was friendly. I chose this restaurant to meet a friend because of the great ratings that I had read on Yelp. I was quite surprised to find it nestled beside the Best Western Motel. The parking lot was full (12:45 pm), and upon going inside was told the wait was about 15 minutes. After waiting 35 minutes, we were seated. Within about 10 minutes, most of the lunch crowd had left. Our waiter took our drink order and returned to the table. My friend asked if there was sugar in grilled chicken marinade. He wasn't sure, so he went to the kitchen and came back and said , "yes." We both decided to order the broiled Carolina Flounder. At that point, my friend said, I think the waiter is upset with us! Obviously, he was.... as he walked by our table numerous times, ignoring my empty goblet of tea. It is located adjacent to a hotel chain which turned us off but agreed to give it a try. So glad we did!! Martinis and food were great!!! Deanna our waitress was awesome! She gave recommendations, split our shared salad, checked in often and was just so friendly! Met James the manager and he told us to ask for him anytime we come in if there's anything he can do. As first time visitors, my friend and I dine here as recommended by yelp reviews and a local resident. The salad from the salad bar was delicious. There were plenty of toppings, including sardines, and condiments to choose from. I was not impressed by the crab cake at all. There was no lump crabmeat present. The crabmeat and filler were minced together as if the meat had been ground or chopped as fine as possible. The cake looked like a salmon pancake. The cake also did not smell or look like a crab cake. I also did not enjoy the grouper as much as I expected to. I felt like it was almost undercooked, and was dry due to the breadcrumbs. Grouper is one my favorite fish, and this dish was far from my expectation. The yams were also too creamy as if the sweet potatoes had been whipped or puréed for a pie. This meal upset my stomach immediately after I left the restaurant and returned home. On the flip side, the blueberry lemon drip drip was decent, the ambiance had an Italian vibe, and staff were friendly. The dining area has a cozy feel and an open kitchen which was nice, even though the restaurants decor was a little out dated. We had an excellent server who was friendly and made sure our orders came out hot and correct! I ordered the steak medallions which were flavorful and cooked perfectly. They had a wide range of menu options for a reasonable price! I only wish the "famous" crab dip had more flavor and more crab meat in it. The pita bread was soft and warm but it did not pair well with the almost soggy and barely seasoned crab dip!
