Generous complimentary polenta & bread starter with seasoned olive oil.

Wonderful meal. Generous complimentary polenta & bread starter with seasoned olive oil. I chose the Oysters Rockefeller as a starter, which was a special for the night. Fresh & delicious with lots of cheese. Penne Alla Vodka as an entree which was also amazing. The portion size was very impressive and the flavors blended together so well. The fresh cheese and black pepper served upon arrival was a lovely touch. I can't wait to enjoy this again. Thank you Prego's! Can't wait to return.

Today was my first time at Prego's. I was in Burlington for work and the restaurant was recommended. It was delicious and a great lunch! I ordered the Veal Marsala with pasta and a minestrone soup. The flavors of everything were excellent! The restaurant was beautifully decorated and would make a great date spot. The servers were attentive and brought out more bread right away. Definitely recommend and can't wait to go back!

I visited here for a working lunch. Ambiance was delightful! I was very surprised. From the welcome message on the marquee by the road, I can tell they recently moved to this location. It's absolutely beautiful! The service was great and very professional. The warm bread and fried polenta are complimentary. The chicken parmigiana was HUGE for a lunch plate. It was enough for two! I had enough left over for another meal. He chicken was blanketed with mozzarella, yet still had the proper crispness beneath. The tomato sauce was good as well. My coworker had the soup and the chicken pallard. She kept raving about the soup. It looked amazing!!! My other coworker had the penne alla vodka and she said it was delicious - also a lot of food. I would definitely return for a romantic dinner with my hubby.

The food was great! It has a really nice and calm environment. Our server was AWESOME! He handled 15 people wonderfully by himself. I got the fried mozzarella. I thought it would be like mozzarella sticks, but it was actually in bread and fried like a fried sandwich. The bread was really good as well as the carbonara. It was really creamy! I do wish I had gotten the risotto though because it was even better! (A friend got it). The experience for my daughter's birthday was amazing!

Where do I start... Food AWESOME Ambiance AWESOME Service AWESOME There are no words to describe how amazing this place is, everyone treats you as if you are family. Our server Christian was amazing, being our 1st time here, he gave us recommendations and time to decide what we wanted. A week later, we came back and had Christmas Eve dinner with our girls and again, everything was perfect. I absolutely love this place

After walking in you forget you're in a space off one of the busiest thoroughfares in Burlington. The decor and ambiance convey a fine dining style with a hint of "this is going to be good". Pro tip: Don't read the menu. Wait for the specials. For this trip the specials sounded awesome. I just had something else in mind for lunch. We received warm crusty bread followed by a peppered olive oil dipping sauce. Now, this good southern gal loves butter. Not a pat to be found. Nor did I ask. After a couple bites of bread swirled in oily deliciousness, the waiter placed a small plate of tan cubbed oddities in front of us. Crispy outside. Creamery chewy inside with a hint of graininess. Yup! Fired polenta cubes. No pic. I forgot to take one and forgot about the butter. Entree comes with a soup or salad. I selected a Caesar. Crisp lettuce. Not over dressed. Pro tip: Ask for the fresh cracked pepper. The waiter brings cheese & pepper grinder out together. He/she readily offer the cheese and moves to the next person. There is no starting back at the beginning asking if you want pepper. Entrees? Very good. Food comes out quickly and hot. The menu seems super simple; however you can customize your pasta dish with any available protein or veg. Be creative! The lunch prices are reasonable so treat yourself a few times a year to tasty homemade pastas and/or sauces. I ordered the penne alla vodka with chicken as my entree. The pasta dish was crowned with tender juicy chunks of chicken. The rich sauce was the perfect consistency. Loose enough for me to stir in my chicken and not too thick as to leave a clumpy mess in the bowl. There is bacon in this dish and you can taste it. The smokiness of the bacon piece were a nice pop of flavor that cut through the sauce. Yes, a very generous portion. I visited this restaurant once many, many moons ago when they were located near what used to the the "Sears end" of the mall. It was a company lunch. Food was good. I never went back. I didn't have a bad experience but it wasn't that memorable either. The current location will definitely be part of my 2023 lunch rotation.

Pork Chop - the inside goodness!

Prego's is a great local Italian restaurant that has been around for years in Burlington. They have been in their new location for a few years now and they really did a great job making the inside very classy and inviting. They have a "private" room that you can reserve - it's an extra $50 - but just note that unless you have around 25 people you can't reserve it on a weekend night. I have, however, reserved it for evenings during the week for business dinners (~around 10 to 12 people), and it's a great option. On this night, we made reservations on a Friday to celebrate my oldest daughter's birthday. There were 9 of us, and while we couldn't get the private room, they did honor our request to be seated in that room; we just had to share with some other tables :-). Our server, Christian, was just absolutely phenomenal. He was polite, attentive, and was wonderful with my 5 year old granddaughter. I could write an entire glowing review just about him! When I made reservations, I requested that bread and app orders of calamari and the empanadas be on the table as soon as we arrived. They weren't quite ready right away, but Christian made sure they were brought out very quickly. The empanadas were awesome - we had to order another plate of them - and the calamari was also excellent. The bread was hot and delicious, and was served with dipping oil. For entrees, I ordered the featured Pork Chop Marsala. It was a thick pork chop stuffed with mozzarella and prosciutto (I believe) and topped with a delicious marsala sauce. Wow it was good!! I really liked the fact that I was able to order the pork chop with veggies as my side instead of pasta. My two sons ordered the shrimp diavolo (one extra spicy and one normal heat) and they both destroyed their food! Other entrees included chicken broccoli alfredo (delicious), salad with crispy chicken (good reports on that), chicken marsala (yummy), and lasagna. The lasagna, oddly enough, is the reason for only 4 stars. My husband ordered that and was disappointed that it had too little meat or cheese, and lacked a true hearty lasagna flavor. It is also worth noting that the chef was quite accommodating to my granddaughter, who wanted spaghetti noodles with butter only. Christian also brought her lots of lemon wedges when he discovered that she loves the sour taste of them! We also brought our own birthday cake...Christian cut and served the cake for us. He really went above and beyond. The bottom line here is that we had a really fun evening with great food, and the only disappointment was the lasagna. Price point is fair for what you get. I would recommend this restaurant.

For food, I got the Smash Burger -- a good-sized, filling burger with a generous portion of fries. My friend ordered a side of fries (also a good portion) and Shrimp Tacos with Brussels Sprouts. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The digital golfing experience was a lot of fun! We didn't realize at first that you could switch from competitive mode to a more relaxed, Topgolf-style mode -- so definitely ask the staff to help you change it before starting if you want a more chill game. There are only two digital golfing stations, so on busy nights, make sure you plan ahead or arrive early if you want to play without waiting. Kim was very kind and helpful during our visit. Overall, Martini Golf & Sports Lounge is a great spot to bring family during the day or hang out with friends at night -- whether for food, drinks, or some digital golfing fun.

My husband and I stopped in on a Thursday evening around 7pm and the place was pretty full. We sat ourselves at a table in the back room, and I noticed how laid back the place was, which is something I really appreciate. Sadly, it seemed that the relaxed vibe extended a bit too far and reflected on their cleanliness, as I noticed all of the chair rails were dusty, the floors a bit littered, our table sticky, and the plastic menus in need of replacing. Service, however, was wonderful. Our waitress was friendly and pretty attentive given how busy she was. My husband was happy with their on tap beer selection, deciding on Red Oak ($3 on Thursdays!). I went with a margarita and it wasn't the best, but thankfully I didn't pay much for it since it was also on special. They were out of the southwestern egg rolls I initially ordered, so I ended up going with the Philly cheesesteak and homemade chips. I enjoyed the cheesesteak's fresh bread; plenty of tender meat, peppers, and onions; and gooey cheese. It could have used more mayonnaise, but it was still quite good. The homemade chips were tasty but undercooked; if I had been hungrier, I definitely would have returned them and asked for a fresh batch. My husband absolutely devoured the cheeseburger and fries he ordered. He said that it was one of the best burgers he's had in quite a while, and this is a guy who loves burgers and eats them often. I want to return to Piedmont Ale House in the future. I think there are some things they seem to do really well, namely burgers and beer at really reasonable prices!

This time I decided to keep things a little more Atkins/keto friendly and ordered a grilled chicken salad and a cup of chili. The total came to just over $26, with the salad alone costing almost $17. I understand prices have gone up everywhere. I can accept that. What I can't accept is paying premium prices while the overall experience falls short. The first issue started before I even got inside. The restaurant was packed, and customers were parked all along the curb directly in front of the designated to go pickup area. That completely blocked access. It took me nearly ten minutes of circling the parking lot, backing up near the dumpster, moving again, and eventually squeezing my truck into a parking space (in the "to-go" pick up area where I'm supposed to be anyway) just to pick up my order. When you're that busy, parking becomes part of the customer experience. At some point management needs to step in and help keep traffic moving instead of allowing the pickup area to become unusable (don't tell me I'm wrong because I'll tell you what not only did. I have to navigate that situation due to cars being along the curb in front of the to go area, but two other vehicles that were parked in the to go spaces had nobody in them and I was there for 10 minutes waiting for my food so those people were inside eating in the restaurant I presume-given that I observed their empty vehicles for a total of 20 minutes). To be fair, the employee who brought my order out was excellent. She greeted me with a smile, was friendly, professional, and was easily the brightest part of the entire experience. Then I got home and opened the salad. For $17, this was honestly disappointing. The chicken, bacon, and toppings had simply been simply tossed in there, while the rest was mostly plain, sad looking lettuce. It looked rushed and careless, especially considering the price. The first of several photos are exactly how the salad looked the moment I opened the container on my kitchen counter. I hadn't touched it or moved anything around. The last photo, however, my awesome lady was able to turn that same salad into something amazing in just a couple of minutes. SHE chopped up some pepperoni that we already had in the refrigerator, diced a little Colby Jack cheese, added tomatoes, mixed everything together, and finished it with ranch dressing and a level 10 appearance on the plate. She didn't have to cook anything. She simply took the time to prepare it the way a $17 salad probably should have looked when it left the restaurant. The chili was good, and I'll absolutely give credit where it's due. Drake's still has menu items I enjoy, and I've had plenty of good meals there over the years. But when you're charging premium prices, customers deserve the same level of quality whether the restaurant is half full or packed to the walls. Being busy explains delays. It doesn't excuse lowering the standard. I genuinely hope Drake's takes this as constructive feedback because I know they can do better. I've seen them do better!
