We stopped in today to cool off with some custard. We got the flavor of the day which was a vanilla custard with nutella added in. Very good combo, very nicely done. There is no where to sit inside, but there are chair outside that are covered, so we sat there. Service was fast as we were the only customers in at the time. They have a different flavor every day, but always have vanilla and chocolate. Would go again...some of the flavors sounded awesome read more

Be sure to be very clear about exactly what you want and ensure you make sure they hear you. Otherwise you will pay a lot of money for a flavor you don't want 10$ whitser and it was tossed because they didn't hear me say chocolate base. read more

This place is amazing. The frozen custard the downtown location is amazing. In the summer and early fall having a blended blue devil custard on the roof just people watching is awesome. The young people that work there are always super and the service is quick. Lots of daily flavor combos that change. They also do amazing custard cakes and have prepackaged pints and quarts. They are the only place around where you can get a chocolate covered frozen banana. Go there and try it. I do know in the past they have closed down for the winter months but reopen in spring. I think this location is better than the Orange County location. A must try if you are in the downtown area. read more

Beautiful custard shop in the heart of Graham, they offer outside dinning as well as an upstairs dinning area. Great custard with a constantly changing menu. Not the best service but certainly not rude in any way. This is my first time coming and i would come back/ recommend them. read more

I went into Whit's Frozen Custard in Hillsborough, NC, on Sunday, September 17, 2023, around 12:45 p.m. to get a chocolate milkshake. The girl who waited on me was quite unfriendly. She charged me $6.49 for a runny tasteless "milk shake" in a small paper cup. She slung it up on the counter and walked away, no offer of a "thank you," straw, napkin . . .nothing. The so-called "milk shake" had absolutely zero taste, I had to take it home, put it in the freezer for over an hour before it was partially cold. It was like something you would get at McDonald's back in the 70's, made with ice milk. I was so pissed and wanted to take it back in there, but had already driven off with it. Do NOT waste your time going there. It's a rip-off for people with more money than brains. Live and learned. They won't get another penny from me! read more

If you are looking for some good custard try Whits. Fun place with a ton of options and very flavorful. Perfect location in Downtown Graham. We used to go to Cookout for milkshakes but now we will only come here. Sad to see that the place they put Whoville is gone since Whits is expanding. Hopefully it will go up in a new location next Xmas. read more

I was passing through the area and wanted some ice cream. When I searched yelp several ice cream shops came up in the area. Whit's looked different because it was custard instead of ice cream. So, I decided to give it a try. I am so glad I did! The staff was incredibly friendly, walked me through the different menu options, making it very difficult to make a decision because everything looked so good. I decided on the Buckeye which was vanilla custard and Reesie cup chunks with fudge mixed in. The custard was smooth and creamy, not overly sweetened but perfect. The medium serving was just the right size thanks to the extra small serving heaping over the top of the cup! This place was INCREDIBLE! If I hadn't had so far to drive I would've taken several quarts home with me. I would give them 10 stars if that was an option! read more

Maybe it's just me but, everytime I go the custard is extremely soft and not frozen. By the time I get a couple of cones out to the grandkids I have melted custard running down my arms. read more

The best frozen custard around! I prefer vanilla custard with strawberries, whipped cream and a cherry! I have also noticed that they clean their machines at least twice a day, which is important to me. I like knowing I am getting a quality custard from a clean custard maker.
