First off, I ordered a Diet Coke and an Andy's Turtle Split Sundae. My total was $10 and some change. When I ordered the girl at the window asked if I wanted the split or the turtle sundae. I said the split sundae, because that's what the menu states. She said "so you want the one with the banana"? I said yes the turtle sundae split. She seemed annoyed. She brings my Diet Coke.. hands me this little can... I asked " this is $ 2.59? " she said " yes, that's what we charge". I'm sure my jaw dropped to the floor. First time visiting Andy's and I was pretty impressed with it! Ambiance: 4/5 - has some seating but it's not meant to be a sit down spot Price: 4/5 - solid pricing for the portion size as well. I think this cone pictured was around $5 which is great! Food: 4/5 - The custard was rich and creamy. I really liked the vanilla flavor, but the chocolate one could've been a bit better (and I'm a chocolate lover!). This was our first time going to Andy's for a late night treat, but it will certainly not be our last. The service was kind and so efficient. You can drive through or walk up. They have a wide variety of options for all things frozen custard. I personally love any vanilla concrete with fruit in it. I did end up getting a yummy hot fudge latte which was good. A family friend recommended Andy's after I asked about ice cream. They advised that Andy's was custard - not ice cream - and it came in different flavors. Being from the west coast, I had never heard of Andy's. I was excited about giving it a try. This place is pretty popular judging by the drive-thru line and the number of people at the walk up window. Although it was busy, the lines were moving pretty quickly, including the drive thru. I tried the Key Lime Pie concrete. It was definitely delicious and I recommend it. This spot is pretty busy but they prepare the orders in a reasonable amount of time. The area outside of the location was clean and there were seats for you to sit down. Inside also looked very clean, and they had a big window so that you could see the them make the yummy waffle cones. Overall this is a great place to come for custard. You can't go wrong! read more

My DH, son & I went by on a Friday night for a little dessert. Husband ordered a "Concrete" with peanutbutter, chocolate and fudge. Son ordered a Rico Suave with cookie dough subbed for peanuts, which is his "usual" order. Both were delicious and the staff on duty was very nice & helpful. We stopped by here for my daughter's 13th birthday with my sister. They were pretty busy today I am not sure if it's just because it's that good or if everyone just had the same idea. They had someone outside like at Chic-Fil-A taking the orders. We started eating before I even thought about taking pictures. My sister got a medium brownie custard, I got a small vanilla, my 13 yr old got a small birthday cake shake (even though I thought it was just going to be a regular cup of ice cream) and my youngest got a small mint chocolate chip. All together it was about $25 which to me is not that bad. The small birthday cake and mint chocolate chip looked like medium size cups to me because they were way bigger cups than mine. I've visited this new Andy's location a couple of times and it has been great, when the High Point location opened a couple years or so ago, that's when I discovered I like the frozen custard better than ice cream. The custard is made in fresh batches every hour or so, I usually get a concrete of some sort on my visits, they have numerous options and always have some type of seasonal concoction available. Today it was the Santa Brownie Jackhammer they had available through the Christmas season, it was vanilla custard with crushed candy cane and chocolate brownies mixed in along with hot fudge piped down the middle. It was pretty awesome. Andy's is definitely worth checking out for a frozen treat. read more

Not a huge soft serve fan... so I opted for a shake. It was the strawberry Oreo combo. Actually pretty good. And kind of fun. Amazing!!! I had to stop here even though it's freezing outside and try the place out. I love the look of the outside. It reminds me of the 80s-90s because of the set up. There's no inside seating/service/or bathroom. There's a drive thru and walk up window. It look me less than 5 mins to order and get my order. About two weeks ago as I driving home from work , I had a strong craving for ice cream. Andy's was the only drive thru nearby. We had tried Andys when it first opened and did not like the taste and had not been back. However I am glad I decided to try them again for my custard was heavenly! Words don't describe. So last night we loaded the car with family to visit Andy's again. Family members agreed their treat (custard, root beer float, milk shakes) were the best tasting, most creamy frozen custard treat ever! We love the employee who greeted us in in parking lot drive thru line (with mask) to answer any questions we had. Her sweet personality was a five star. And then the employee at the drive through window rendered white glove service. She happened to be the general manager. The place looked spotless and employees cautious with gloves and masks. Now I earned a free treat and the cravings are back! Going back tomorrow with my daughter! PS Their custard rated yellow on NOOM, not red like ice cream -- healthier option! read more
