What a delicious lunch we had ! Butter burgers with cheddar were right on point and delicious. It was our first time trying Culver's and we will be back. The cheese curds are a must try. This chain puts out some pretty darn good sandwiches - butter burgers, chicken, and a couple of very good fish sandwiches. I dropped in recently while on a food run to Burlington which also included Hursey's BBQ and Zack's Hot Dogs. Here I ordered a Butter Burger and a North American Cod sandwich, as well as a cup of their excellent chili. Everything was excellent, especially the burger - nice outside crust on the edges. We look forward Culvers every road trip now, as they've conpletely replaced a certain chicken sandwich restaurant- the one that wouldn't stop putting MSG in their chicken and completely ruined their waffle fries with pea flour, but i digress.... Culvers is FRESH (making the few minutes wait TOTALLY worth it), they are not sitting in foil under a heating lamp, and this matters. I would swear they sliced the tomato and pulled the bread out of the oven seconds before my order was made. The lettuce is still cold crisp, and the chicken is hot, not oily, and soooooo yum! I ordered the pumpkin pie (without pecans) shake, as a treat, and it quite literally tastes like they dropped a piece of pumpkin pie and a scoop of ice cream into a blender. So it's legit. But I will say, their chocolate milkshakes are the best, delish! The place is very clean, including the loo, and the employees are so kind and friendly. I owe a thanks to our old road trip chicken sandwich place for ruining their menu, because we would never have found Culvers! read more

Yelpers yessss Florida doesn't have anything on NC We finally have a Culver's in Burlington, NC off University Yelpers!! Nice big parking space, but slow down when entering. Some folk were so hungry they didn't pay attention to other cars There is plenty of room for you and a group inside. You can sit or stand; due to high table. The food is freshly made and brought right out to your table. Servers were very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!. WAIT in the drive through! Pay, pull forward and WAIT!! I'm a 3 minute drive from here. To get home, open the butter double burger with cheese add bacon(not free) and it looks like a piece of leather on a bun This burger was so dry and overcooked, it tasted disgusting! The texture was After the initial bite, I broke it a part to look at and it looked as bad as it tasted. The fries, that were edible, were mediocre at best. The customer service is TOP TIER!!!! They're constantly checking on you but not in an overwhelming manner. There are soooooo many food choices but I started with the burger. Extremely tasty and slightly thicker than a regular steak burger. I really enjoyed my food. The fries were just ok and the onion rings were as well. Culver's butter burgers have quickly become my favorite fast-food cheeseburger in Alamance County. Since this location opened, I have visited them at least 10 times. I'm a fan of smash-style burgers, so I like that Culver's burgers are crispy along the edges and that the burger patties are on the thinner side. They have quite a few cheese options, including Wisconsin cheddar, so that you can customize your burger or sandwich. The toppings are always fresh and the buns are soft. I also love the variety of side items that are available with your combo, with my favorite being the soft baked pretzel bites dipped in their cheese sauce. The cheese curds and onion rings are also yummy. Sadly, I am not a fan of their fried chicken tenders or fish. When I ordered the fried fish platter, the fish looked and smelled delicious, but severely lacked flavor. And the chicken breading just isn't my favorite. I haven't tried their grilled chicken or salads, so I can't speak on those. The employees have always been pretty friendly, both at the drive-thru and inside the restaurant. There have been a couple of occasions where the person taking my order has seemed a bit distracted and my order hasn't been exactly perfect when it arrives, but that isn't the case most of the time. The restaurant itself is quite spacious for a fast-food place, and nicely decorated as well. Culver's stays busy, so it can get noisy inside, and at the drive-thru you typically have to pull up and wait for them to bring the order to your car - that being said, it doesn't take long. read more

We had a great dine in experience here. I didnt even know they were here at first. We went after a soccer game in town. They have fast food type food and frozen custard. The food was good, I would say better than any fast food burger like McDonalds, Wendys or BK but not at the level of a "sit down" place like chilis or red robin. They fried food (fries and onion rings) are good and very crispy. The frozen custard is excellent. I recommend the kids meals, they are good sizes and come with a free custard token and a point towards future rewards so dont lose or damage the bag their food comes in! Great casual fast food place, service was fast and friendly. They give you a table marker like chick fil a and bring the food to your table too. Good food and relaxed atmosphere. OMFG! I am SO livid and disgusted right now. I just found Fred the Fly (a very dead Fred the Fly) chilling on one of my French fries. I emptied my fry bag into the empty side of my fish tray and this is what was waiting for me!!!! Argh!!!!!!!!!! If you only knew how disgusted I am because like any normal person, I was eating on these fries on the way home. I did talk to the owner, Brittany, who was super apologetic and said they do not have an insect problem. She is sending me a free coupons. I do appreciate the kind gesture but it won't replace the level of disgust I have right now!!! I am just glad I made it home to see this. I probably would have eaten it if I were still in my car. We originally stopped by Whataburger on Mebane Oaks Road in Mebane, (more in that in another review) and decided to visit Culver's in Burlington. They were fairly busy but had only one register open so I waited ~ eight minutes. Okay....my turn.....i asked for the veterans & senior citizen discount. I ordered one DLX DBL w/XT lettuce (tomato cost extra....declined). Upon arriving home (southwest Hillsborough) found burger meat to be very dry and NO EXTRA LETTUCE. i ordered two butter burgers w/XT lettuce (again tomato cost extra). Both butter burgers were very dry and NO-EXTRA-LETTUCE!!! I asked the order taker to be sure that the fries slip was full (they hardly EVER ARE) and sure enough....IT WASN'T. In summation, I spent $17.98 for three miserable burgers and a partially filled small fry and that included a 25% discount. Tim was kind enough to compliment me with one scoop of vanilla custard....YUM!...thanks Tim. Almost 50 mile round trip and almost $20 lighter and not-that-much smarter. Ordered a cod fish sandwich, what a disappointment, first of all, it was served on a large soft roll, thus the 1 star. After that nothing positive, the one small piece of fish I would equate to a smallish chicken tender, it was like eating a bread sandwich. Ok so after hearing about this place I had to go and try it out. I have to say it was in some ways nothing fancy but I was impressed with the fish sandwich. I ordered a few things to get my taste buds across the board. The burger I ordered was the butter burger with cheese. It was ok, patties were dryer than I expected and could use a little more seasoning. I compared it to a Freddy's patties and though thicker they lacked the seasoning. Then the buffalo chicken tenders, these were great proper chicken to breading ratio sauce was not to hot or not too mild. Then the onion rings, they were pretty good, flavor and crispy. I also got the fish sandwich and it was great. My only knock is the shredded cheese and shredded lettuce kept falling off. The fish was superb, cooked well, crispy with wonderful flavor. I would say the fish was a surprisingly strong contender. I also tried some custard and honestly it was similar to Freddy's and Andy's. The real shock is the service was good but not super friendly and bubbly like I had heard. Maybe a bad night because it was busy. I will try it again. read more
