This place used to be so good, and it the absolute opposite now! I went probably a month ago, and it was not good, but I thought it was fair to give them another shot. I should have listened to my head and went somewhere else. I asked for a well done burger, there was more pink than anything. The bun was hard like it had been sitting out for a while. The tots were luke warm at best. I did get it to go, but I work about a 3 minute drive away, so something should have been hot. It's sad because at one time I told everyone "the best burger in town is this one". Now, I doubt I ever try it again. read more

I have eaten at all of the Big Burger Spot locations over the years. This one is good and doesn't disappoint. I usually do build my own burger and it's always delicious. Today I decided to try something new and ordered an Ahi Tuna sandwich. It unfortunately wasn't very good. The tuna didn't have a lot of flavor and needed more seasoning. I also ordered Parmesan truffle fries. They were delicious and made up for the disappointing sandwich. Overall I recommend Big Burger spot but I do not recommend the Tuna. read more

When I arrived, I didn't see the spaces for curbside parking so I didn't mind going inside. It was super busy. I didn't wait very long. My order was ready. The cashier even apologized for me coming inside. I told her it was no problem. My food was hot and it was goooood. I ordered a turkey burger with lettuce, pickles, onion and tomato. My first time at this location. They get a 4.5. The extra half star is for the lady who played the music. It was on an all Prince radio station. She won my purple heart! Everything you need to know to order is on the walls around you. Your burgers are cooked to order so it may take a little time. I had tots with mine and Bae has fries. If you've read some of my reviews before you know Bae is a French fry fanatic. They weren't hitting for him on this day. Not sure why. The tots were banging though! Your food is brought to your table. You are responsible for your own drinks. They have Coke products and sweet tea available. Go look at the burger pics! Then go to eat there! What a cute little local spot ! We stopped by on a Sat afternoon for lunch. I was craving either a Reuben or a burger. They don't serve Reuben's so a burger it was ! They were super nice and helpful when we ordered at the front register. I chose the Philly burger and hubby had the pimento cheese burger. We both agreed that they were probably not the best burgers we have ever had and they were not the worse ones either. The fries put them over the top. Two orders of fries were a lot for us. We took part of our baseball team here after games Saturday. 7pm on a Saturday night they had only 1 table seated when we came in. As soon as we walked in the staff said "Oh Hell No" and snatched the chain so hard on the open sign they broke it and say We ARE closed and they made us leave. Was in Greensboro for the day, and we were craving a good burger spot, and we so happened to see a foodie friend post about them, so decided to try them out. At first, I thought they were only take out only, but to our surprise, they did have a dine in area, Thank God. They have a huge menu on their wall, burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and even BBQ plates, making it your way or signature ones like the pimento cheese melt, or south of the border with Cheddar cheese green chili peppers crispy onions and fresh salsa or just a classic bacon and cheese. They take your order in the front counter, and they bring your food to you. I hate to say this but my once favorite burger place has gone downhill. Over the years they keep making changes that are not good. They used to source amazing brioche buns with a local baker who is originally from France (Julian Vicard). Then they went with something cheaper. Then they lost Jo and the good employees. Then they took the pot roast sandwich off the menu. And now they got rid of all the salads options including the amazing spinach salad that really set this place apart. I think these cost saving measures will cost them customers. During my most recent visit, we were the first ones there for lunch and the place was nasty and dirty. I guess they don't clean anymore? My burger was not as juicy and fresh as it was in the past. The bun was cold and burnt because they must do them in advance. So sad. Rest in peace Big Burger Spot. read more

We actually we trying to go to another burger place, but they were packed so we found the big burger spot. I really wanted to love it - I really did. I mean Steve Harvey ate here, so it's got to be mins blowing right? There were only 2 other tables seated when we came in, though they do to a of take out orders. The menu (on the chalk board), looked fantastic! Lots of choices and the variety of fries alone was pretty awesome. The kid went with his usual plain cheeseburger and fries. I had the Bacon, Bacon Cheddar burger and the Parmesan Garlic fries, while Hubby went with the pork BBQ sandwich and fries. Here's where it went a little off the rails. We were asked what temp we wanted our burgers (I love that - not a fan of hockey pucks unless they are in a game), and we ordered medium. Well, not even close. They were barely rare. It might have had something to do with all the chit chat and horseplay going on at the grill? We had to ask for BBQ sauce for the sandwich and it was like bottled sauce. The fries were good (though I would have liked to see more garlic on mine). Both guys got milkshakes and they were pretty fantastic - the Chocolate Fudge Brownie will make chocolate lovers weep tears of joy! The 3 Stars : for the sandwich in general I am not a Ruben sandwich guy. If you like Ruben sandwiches I think this would make a great choice. (First 2 pictures) 4.5 Stars : Amazing cheese fries they where crispy the bacon tasted good but if you like cheese they are light on the cheese so in future I would ask for extra 4 Stars : The pimento cheese burger is a very creative burger and if you have never had one it is a must have. 5 Stars : I have never had a better blue cheese burger as good as this one if you like blue cheese this no brainer you don't need any sauce or condiments you'll thank me later 4 Stars : spinach salad was very good and the ranch was bomb if you are looking for a healthy option this is a good one. 5 Stars : Last but not least the milkshakes completely obliterated their competition these where some of the best milkshakes I've ever had. It was a hot summer day with humid 92 degree weather. Upon arrival, looking forward to cold AC obviously, my father opened the door and stated "it's not much cooler in here." He was correct. We walked inside and you could feel the heat inside of the whole building. The heat from outside mixed with no AC on as well as the hot grill grilling the food. I noticed a large fan in the middle of the dining room and I questioned and inspected why it was not on, I could not find a reason. So I decided to walk up to an employee and request that I personally turn on the fan it make it cooler and they stated it does not work. Upon inspection, one fan blade was missing which would make the fan uneven while it rotates resulting in it falling off. We're not even on the actual service part of this interaction. It took about 25 minutes for my family to get our food. At a fast food esk restaurant. And then the food came, that I had to go grab for us, and my burger had multiple ingredients on it but I couldn't taste a single one. All of them fused together due to the ingredients not being good. And guess how much it was for two people to eat, $32!! Ridiculous! Just forget about this place and go somewhere else to get a hamburger. read more

It was right on time positive energy and welcoming when you come in. Tori was polite and offered options. The burgers were cooked to a perfect medium as ordered. We ate outside although the inside was cool and clean. The outside furniture was broken and with limited shade on hot days. Overall a good spot for a good old fashion burger or one with a twist. Literally 20 fries no seasoning and terrible fries . Chicken fingers were just like everyone else frozen and taste like Tyson. I am challenging myself to write or update one review per day while we endure these tough times, and am hoping my fellow Yelpers and Elites will join me! To that end, it has been a long time since I updated my Big Burger Spot review, but I assure you it has not been very long since I last visited. The burgers are still some of the best flame grilled patties in the area, the toppings list is miles long and full of treasures, and the loaded fries... wow, still mouthwatering, and still one of the best things you can split with a group. Venturing beyond just the burgers and fries, the milkshakes are also some of the best in the area as well. Basically, if they are offering a sandwich, you are probably going to love it... their version of a Reuben is still my top dog in the entire Triad. I'll continue to support Big Burger Spot, and right now they are an excellent place to get take-out while you social distance! read more

Big Burger Spot has been on one of my lists to check out for a while. I'm disappointed with myself that I haven't been here sooner! This spot blew me away with how delicious the food was. I ordered the Tuesday Bison burger special with Cajun fries added. The burger was cooked to medium and let's just say it lasted all of a couple minutes. It was on point with how a burger should be. I will advise to make sure to plan accordingly when you come to this spot. The lunch crowd was no joke around 12:45-1 so if you're in a time pinch then just be careful! read more
