Pimento cheese , bacon, and fried egg burger
Mark W. S.

Stopped in for a patty melt and a Rueben to go, our two favorites. Both delicious. The lady at the counter is always pleasant and very helpful. Always a solid choice.

Nice laid back place , decent food selection. Service was good and food comes out fresh and quick . The food was good and prices not bad . I got the hot dog all the way with fries . Hot dogs wasn't soggy or overloaded , the fries were fresh and crispy not over seasoned .

Classic with cheddar and fries.

Very good burger and fries. Will definitely come back next time I'm in the area. Service was also friendly and fast.

I have been a long time fan of BBS, coming every time I was in town for family. My dad visited at least once a week for lunch and I would be so jealous. Not anymore unfortunately. All I can think is a change of ownership/management. Several brands have changed (drink & condiments to name a few) and the atmosphere has gone downhill. Very empty (both of guests and decor) so the food came quickly. Portions have gotten smaller and just wasn't impressive. The bun on my burger was about half the size of the patty. Hopefully their milkshakes are still 10/10!

Another day, another burger joint checked off our list! And Big Burger Spot didn't disappoint!! I ordered the patty melt with thousand island dressing and Swiss cheese on rye bread partnered with aged parmesan garlic fries and my husband ordered the "big" Philly burger.. a fresh beef patty loaded with provolone, grilled onions, peppers and mushrooms; paired with the white truffle parmesan fries. Both burgers were buttery and delicious and the fries nearly took our breath away. I don't normally eat fries but I'd order these over and over again. Their menu is HUGE! So many different protein and french fry options, including creative spins on the norm -- so we're pretty much forced to return :D

Big Burger Spot has long offered a good burger for the money, but in Greensboro, it tended to be overshadowed by the likes of Hop's and Porter House among others. The Kernersville location lacks this issue and is an attractive lunch option for the area. As with the Greensboro locations, the menu boasts a good amount of variety. There are about a dozen different burgers, and you can custom build your own. Going the a la carte route can add up depending on the options selected, but the base prices (under $10 for a 1/3 pound burger, fries excluded) are fairly reasonable. During a recent visit, my wife and I went with a Black and Blue and a Lonestar Burger, respectively, and split an order of parmesan garlic fries. Both burgers were flavorful, and the toppings (crispy onions and jalapeno relish on the Lonestar and pungent bleu cheese on the Black and Blue) paired well with them. The oily, garlicky fries were satisfying as well though not as much of a standout as the burgers. While the cashier was a bit brusque, the cooks were friendlier and very efficient. From vegan to bison to hot dogs and more, Big Burger Spot offers plenty of possibilities worth investigating. They may not all hold up as well as the standard burgers, but the latter are reason enough to give this place a try.

Chicken philly

First time eating here. There are several burger options, as well as some salad and other sandwich options. The restaurant was clean and the cook was very pleasant. Prices are for the sandwich only and do not include chips or fries. My husband ordered the patty melt and I ordered the chicken philly. I was expecting thinner pieces of chicken, but they were big chunks which made it harder to eat. Both of us thought our sandwiches were okay, but there are other burger/sandwich places we prefer. Overall I felt like it was a little over priced considering it's counter quick service and does not include a side. I would not go out of my way to eat here again but since the employees were friendly and the place is kept clean, I would say give it a try if you are close by.

Sourdough Bacon Melt * Onion Rings

This is pretty good kinda pricey but good onions ring for sure and the meat feels like it's missing something but it's still good!

Spacious indoor dining room.

If you are looking for a great burger with and large selection of toppings and fully customizable to any tastes, head on over the Big Burger Spot. Ask any local where the best burgers are and you'll get the same type of responses all starting with, "If you like....". Well, forget that if you come here. Bring your pickiest eater and fully satisfy their appetites with the wide array of customizable items on fresh grilled burgers. The choices and combinations are endless. I chose the basic burger with cheese, onion, lettuce and the normal condiments. I craving a simple selection this day. Don't forget the great fries and also again, fully customizable topping for them. The staff is helpful in guiding new visitors in their selections and the inside dining room is large and can accommodate sizable parties. When you have a burger craving, this should be on the top of your list.

It was awful! Burger tasted frozen and tough to eat. Fries were not good either. Don't try it! Looks good on menu but not good tasting.

Ordered to go and didn't get any ranch for the chips. I guess next time we will spend less money and only get burgers.

Located in a strip mall and tucked in behind another restaurant it can be easily overlooked. Small restaurant offering big flavors at a great price. Enter the restaurant, head to the counter and was greeted immediately. The young lady took our order offered suggestions as well as patience while we ordered. Our food was served within 10 minutes after we ordered. I ordered 2 sliders, 2 tenders, sweet potato fries, and a drink for $15. Now here's the best part, it is GOOD! Everything was served hot. The fries and tenders were crispy! The sliders were the size of a small burger from any fast food chains. Now here's the kicker for all my ice munching lovers, they have that good ice! Definitely recommend and will return!

We were in the mood for some "fancy" burgers, and given what they do here at Sammy's (and that we had never been) decided to go for it. We both left wishing we had gone to one of several other known quantities in the area that also have some creative burgers. We both ordered the 2 slider combo, one of us went with two burger sliders, the other did a burger and chicken tender slider. One of us got fries, the other upgraded to onion rings. We also added on an all the way hot dog, because I can't help myself but try them wherever I go. Service at the counter was helpful, and the restaurant pretty clean. Drinks are self-serve in somewhat of a tight area for people moving through. They give you a number and bring the food to your table when ready. When the meal arrived, just visually, we were not excited by anything... except the hot dog. We'll start there, the brightest spot of the meal. The bun was clearly buttered and griddled, and biting in, you get a tasty frank, balanced chili and slaw, just enough onions and mustard. If I were to return, it would probably be for hot dogs. All three slider burgers were dry as a bone. They did not at all give the appearance of a burger that was griddled to order. The bacon cheeseburger did not come with any kind of sauce, to make that edible, we added some ranch that came with the onion rings. The buffalo chicken tender slider was quite bland for buffalo style, and soggy. The fries were good, but the onion rings were not. I don't think the oil was hot enough, so not only were they mealy and not crispy, they were just so oily that it made them unappealing. Given what we paid, and compared to other burgers in the area, I don't see us coming back.

Like seriously, no other burger has been able to touch the flavor bomb in my mouth that I get at Barcelona. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and bring your food to your table. Everyone at the front counter is always cheery and welcoming and the wait for food is never long maybe five minutes. everything is fresh made right when you order it. the sweet potato fries are absolutely delicious. It's a low-key casual spot that has a beautiful outdoor seating in the back. Beautiful as in, very simplistic tables and chairs, but in a cute little garden like area that has sun shining in and plants. it's a cute little feel. Now these burgers, are delicious. We've only gotten the Barcelona burger and not tried other options because that one is so freaking good. The single has even more flavor than the double somehow because on the single patty, you can taste all of the additions: the Barcelona sauce, the tomato, the lettuce, and all of the flavors just explode. Their meat is tender. It's a thin patty and it's just delicious. If you're looking for a good, simple burger that's packed with flavor and you aren't looking for a gigantic hunk of meat, This is your spot. They do offer beer and bottled drinks and they also have desserts on site.

Placing the order and having it brought to your table within 10 minutes of perfect for hungry kids! These are smash burgers and there's only a few to choose from. All come with one side. The fries are hand cut. Kids burgers are as big as the regular size so if you have small kids one is enough. My husband loves the chicken and it is really good. It's definitely marinaded and served with two sides from a half. It's a great space to bring scooters for the kids to ride and chalk to get that last little bit of energy out before bed. It's adjacent to the Coal Pits so lots of our kids hanging out in their scooty gangs.

The only downside for me was that they didn't have ice for my drink or any fountain machines. I also didn't ask what was in the Bubba and I found after a few bites it was very spicy. It looked like it had pickled jalapeños on the burger. I would have liked to have mine without that. I couldn't pick them off because they were minced quite small. The burger was quite large and tasty though. I appreciate how the restaurant went out of their way to make this burger event special. We definitely will be back for our next Heffs fix! We continually had to drive around the building in search of a parking space. Several of our employees were from out of town, and they were concerned about getting towed. It took them over 20 minutes to find a parking space and another 15 minutes to walk to the restaurant, as the entire parking lot was full. Next, we ordered from their extensive menu, which offered plenty of options. The waitress was fantastic and the food was fresh. The place was packed but clean, and we weren't cramped in the building. For the amount paid for eight people, it was worth the visit and likely a revisit.

(3.25 stars) Casual dining may be declining nationally, but…read moreevidently Sixty Six Grill didn't get the memo. It's in that same TGI Friday's/Ruby Tuesday/Applebees tier, yet its full parking lot suggests brisk business. The location - it sits on a busy stretch of 66 - may explain some of that though Sixty Six isn't without other virtues. Spacious and well-staffed, Sixty Six isn't the kind of place where you'll have to wait long to find a table or receive food. It's dark and a bit noisy but not headache-inducingly loud. The menu is decently large, boasting everything from apps and wings to burgers and sandwiches to Tex Mex and pizza. There aren't any real surprises, but there's enough variety to accommodate most diets. For our lunchtime visit, my wife and I split a fried pickles app followed by a jalapeno burger (with sweet potato fries) and a Nashville chicken sandwich (with chips), respectively. Admittedly, the fried pickles didn't make for a very attractive-looking plate. Instead of golden brown pickle chips, there were thicker, lightly battered slices. However, they tasted just fine and paired well with a zesty dipping sauce. Speaking of zesty sauces, the chicken sandwich had it aplenty, and it made for a satisfyingly messy bite. The chips were homemade and rated above average. Unfortunately, Sixty Six overcooks its meats. Under all the sauce, the chicken itself was a bit dry. My wife ordered her burger medium well and received it well beyond well done. As with the chicken, it was still flavorful despite the doneness issues. On food alone, Sixty Six isn't a strong draw, but factor convenience and versatility into the mix, and it becomes a solid lunch option.
