I was making a food run into High Point (definition of a food run - I will go into an area and visit from 2 to 4 restaurants and will exercise a minimal of restraint ), and hit several old favorites (Oscar's, The Dog House), a newbie for me Wayback Burger, and even popped in here for the small cheeseburger and some fries, of course. The burgers here are pricey, even the "little" ones, but they are solid burgers, and the fries are of such proportions that eases the value issue a touch, but only a touch. The burger was good, the fries rocked, and free peanuts ain't bad - but hard to eat enough to bring it down much!

Well. Trying Five guys again. Everything was good. Not great but nothing to complain about. Only order a small fry to split. They give you a small cup but about three times that in the bag. The flavor is obviously a fresh cut fry but they are limp soggy undercooked with older fries mixed in. I guess it's a good way to keep the food in the bag warm and doesn't cost much for them. $5.49 for a small fry The burger is a good smash burger. Juicy but lacking the crisp edges and seasoning of a good burger joint. Lots of toppings but zero presentation. Smashed burger, smashed bun wrapped in foil. $23.78 for 2 Drink machines one of those we started seeing in Burger King years ago. The one where you pick the soda and the flavoring. Sprays everywhere. $2.49 for a medium Chocolate milkshake was the consistency of chocolate milk. The thickener was more chocolate. $5.49 All tallied... $39.87 for 2 burgers, split a fry, a medium drink and a milkshake. The dining room is simple but clean. Feels like the old burger place I loved as a kid "Checkers" No interaction from any staff other than taking our order and calling our number. There are arguments made that this is the cost of eating out. I have gone for burgers and drinks (fries included) at much better places for less money including the tip. We went because we had a gift card, otherwise I'll spend my money elsewhere.

Look, it's hard to beat Five Guys when it comes to a solid burger that doesn't require a whole sit down restaurant experience. I know a lot of people like to complain about the price but honestly, you pay almost as much for a lot less anywhere else these days. Their burgers are consistently good and that can be hard to find so I'm willing to pay a bit more when that's what I'm craving. This was my first time visiting the High Point location but the food was just as good as I remember from other locations. The burgers are cooked fresh to order and even the smallest fry is enough to share. Staff was friendly and they seemed to have a full crew which isn't the case at a lot of places right now. I do have to knock a point for cleanliness. The floors were extremely sticky and the tables had not been cleaned off even though this was an obviously slow time with not much else for most of the staff to do. Overall I would definitely come back when I'm craving a burger that's a bit fancier than fast food without being a full sit down experience. This is a hard market to compete with burger wise but some times something like Five Guys just hits the spot. I'm glad to have one on this side of town now.

Fellow Yelper Mike B. Reminded me of how good Five Guys burgers and fries are with his recent review and I had to stop into the new High Point location and try it out. It's spacious, clean, and has a super friendly staff who got my lunch out quickly and to order. I looove their shakes - very thick with lots of good mix ins and toppings. Their fries are absolutely out of this world good, and their burgers are slammed with toppings if you order "all the way". Luckily, I love mushrooms. Two slices of tomato with lettuce, mayo, pickles!!, grilled onions!!, ketchup. A perfect burger. I got the Little Hamburger because it's not little. I got the Little Fries. As you can see, the bag runners over with big natural cut soft and hot fries. Ketchup dispenser, malt vinegar bottles, and condiments readily available. I got a little cup of orange cream coke too. It's so neat when I can choose my coke flavors. Staff was cleaning up actively as I ate lunch. The environment was very welcoming and classic rock was playing. One of my best Tuesday lunches!

Though the Hello Dolly was great on my last visit, this time I got the Patty melt burger served between slices of sour dough bread, as a side I got the sweet potato fries. The food came out fairly quick, and looks great. But once i picked it up, it began to get very messy very quickly. I think they could probably reduce the amount of thousand island sauce they put on the burger. The fries were cooked to a perfect crispness, but I wasn't a big fan of the honey butter they were served with, i think ranch is a much better compliment to them. As a whole, it was a good visit, with tasty food an good friends. Though tasty, it was just incredibly messy, to the point I had to wash my hands after. But the staff was also friendly, service quick, and the pricing, reasonable. Someplace I'd absolutly visit again, and recommend other do the same.

She was literally hoppin' it was so busy but did a good job of keeping up. She helped me find items on the menu that fit my dietary restrictions. Nice vibe, laid back, loud. Parking isn't great limited onsite but there's plenty of additional parking across the street. The best menu! There's SOOOO many things I want to try. I mean, a variety of different fries are you kidding me? My friend had the spicy goat burger which she said was good: if you don't like messy don't get it because the sauce is very sticky and she said there needs to be more sauce on the burger. I had a customized salad which was huge and delicious. The salad was too big for the size of plate though. The dressing was a house made roasted shallots and was yummy. Outdoor and indoor seating. Since I was driving back by on my home the next day, had a late lunch. Arrived around 3pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. Given the hour, it was fairly quiet. Weird experience, bar was wide open. I went to the bathroom and when I came back, someone decided to sit in the seat right next to me. Why?! I must comment on the service. The barkeep got me a menu quick and I ordered a water. During my meal, my water sat empty for 5 minutes or so even thought I counted 8 staff members behind the bar. Given the time of day, it was not busy. I ordered onion rings (as a side) and the Bacon Jam burger as it came with the "cordon Bleu" fries. The onion rings stole the show. So good. The fries were not my jam. Low quality cheese sauce with lunch meat ham that was diced. My fault, I should have subbed regular fries as I don't like stuff on my fries. I was expecting it to be a seasoning. My mistake. The burger was good not great. I got the 12 oz size and learned it is 2 fat 6 oz. patties stacked. Makes it VERY tall. The description of this burger is shown in one of my photos. Again, it was good but the flavors just did not pop. Wish I got the French Onion burger. Next time. :-) I do recommend!

Smart move on their part by sending the most adorable teenage boy with perfect puppy dog eyes to humbly hand us our bag as he kept saying how sorry he was. Who could be mad at him? Not me. We had ordered on their app as we were passing through the area and they were very busy so I get how a mix up could occur. The 5 stars happened because even though we sat for 20 minutes, our food did not. It was hot and it was fresh. Other places could take note of this and maybe step up their game a bit or A LOT.... I'm not saying any names but their initials being with Whataburger... Anyway, I digress. We both got the same thing. The double burger with chili, slaw, mustard, onions, and pickles. While not necessarily the best choice for a road trip lunch driving down the interstate, it's hard to be salty about something so delicious. Messy? Yes. But it was a glorious mess!! You gotta love a place that not only allows you to completely customize your food, but allows it for relatively no extra charge except on the big ticket items like bacon or extra cheese. And they don't skimp either... which again made for a messy drive but well worth the laundry I had to do as soon as our 7 hour drive was over. The two patties were perfectly done, the buns were fresh and they were very, very liberal with the included toppings. This thing was stacked with a wonderful, meaty chili, cool, crisp slaw, crunchy pickles, and rounded out with fresh onions that added a terrific contrast to the chili and slaw. And the toppings were spread through out the sandwich so that every bite delivered on flavor. They were also generous with the napkins, which is rare these days and very, very much appreciated. The fries were good although I'm not a big fan of the crinkle variety... that said, I do appreciate that you have the option in the app to get them extra crispy. That made for a much better experience. Though they're not my favorite type of fries, these were well cooked, soft on the inside without being mealy like most crinkles are; while having a nice crispy exterior. If I have to have crinkle cut fries, I'd prefer Dairi-O's. I also tried their tzatziki sauce because I love that as a dipping sauce for fries and it was pretty spot on. At first, when I saw it on the menu, my thought was, "what does a burger joint really know about tzatziki sauce?" Turns out, a lot. It was creamy, tangy, with just the right amount of fresh cucumber and dill. Over all, as far as I'm concerned, it's a solid fast food choice that feels less like fast food and more like eating a perfect burger from your backyard grill. We both enjoyed it very much and will be back.

So many places throw on one or two extra and call it a day, but this was a legit pickle situation. The crinkle-cut fries were seasoned and really good, the milkshake was decent, and the burger was solid overall. Nothing fancy, just classic fast-food comfort done well. For two double combos and a chocolate shake, it was $29 and some change, which felt pretty reasonable. I'd definitely grab it again if I'm in that area. Perfect post-disc golf fuel.

I recently started seeing a lot adds on social media for their new smash burger tacos, so one weekend I was feeling lazy and needing some lunch I decided to go give it a try. There was a bit of line when we arrived, but the cashier kept the line moving quickly. I ordered (2) of the tacos, and some fries to go. Apparently, they had a promo going that weekend with their app, that you'd also get ANY size, free custard made to your liking. The order came out pretty quickly, didn't have to wait long at all. Got home, unpacked everything on a plate, and enjoyed my tasty lunch. The tacos were great, basically just a soft shell taco with a single smash burger in each, cheese, a little lettuce and fry sauce. Probably could add some other toppings, like tomatoes, but overall they were really good. Their fries are also great, but very thin, so you kind of need to grab a few at a time. The restaurant itself isn't too large, but decently clean. The interior is one large open space with a lot of hard surfaces though, so it can get noisy in there as it fills up. Overall, a tasty option from time to time. Would recommend if you like smash burgers though they do also have hot dogs, and the custard is delicious. Go check them out if you haven't already
