"Coffee, the favorite drink of the civilized world." -Thomas Jefferson After overnighting in the RV, it was time for coffee and breakfast. The Blend was open at 7am which was super helpful as we arrived at 5 minutes past and spent an hour working out the plan for the day. Friendly baristas made a latte for Mrs. K. that she enjoyed in a proper coffee cup. My cortado was the proper two shots with steamed milk, served in a small ceramic cup. Unusual serving container but still delicious. We enjoyed a cheese danish and some wifi and some peace while we woke up and got ready to attack the day. Five stars for The Blend! If you are looking for a quit place to hang out on a Friday night, the Blend hosts Jazz aretist. It a smaller and intimate space. Grab a latte and enjoy the soothing sounds... its a great stop in a downtown slowly showing signs of new life... a worthy stop

While visiting North Carolina on a work trip, I of course had to find a local coffee shop. The Blend & Co is adorable, and located in downtown Burlington. I went on day one to grab a coffee, and picked up a smoothie as well. It was delicious. The next day I tried a spiced rose latte. I thought it sounded so interesting, and it was fabulous! I also tried one of their green smoothies, which was the perfect breakfast. Their menu also includes some food items like sandwiches, salads, bagels, and diff toasts. Service was super friendly, and it was beautiful inside. If I lived in the area, this would definitely be my go to coffee shop.

When I went to visit my friend in Burlington we stopped at The Blend & Co twice! It's incredible. They have a variety of nondairy milk options (like macadamia nut), smoothie bowls, and breakfast sandwiches on the menu. The food and coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is beautiful. You can buy bags of coffee or coffee items like pour overs, French press, etc. They have a beautiful outdoor seating area for when the weather is nice and tons of plants! They even host other locals shops outside for various events or farmers markets. Overall a really cool cafe to work or hang with a friend.

The atmosphere of the Blend & Co is amazing, like a cozy bookstore. The service was sweet and quick. Now the smoothie I got was definitely not my favorite, it tasted more like the yogurt then any of the fruits and could only really taste pineapple. Overall not the strongest in terms of taste but definitely a cute atmosphere with good service.

Wheelchair accessible floor and bathrooms. Sensory friendly environment with quiet corners, a variety of seating choices, and natural lighting. FILLED with impressive beautiful plants. I wanted to live here. It's simply enchanting. The couches were buttery soft and comfy, there was room for small friends and big groups. I ordered a iced peach tea and it was delicious. I will absolutely be back to work here more. Such a creative and inspiring environment. There is a very nice outdoor seating area as well, with a lock art piece that was touching to explore and observe. Cute plant stickers for sale at the counter!

Always a favorite. Love the vibe inside and the barista always gets it right when I ask for "half sweet" on any specialty drink.

Every time I am in Burlington or driving through, I always make time to stop in at The Blend. It is one of my favorite local coffee shops. All of the drinks I have had there have been on point. Over the weekend I tried their Blue Moon latte and it was the best blueberry latte I have ever had. They also added frozen blueberries to it which was a fun touch! I have not tried any of their food, so I will have to do that soon. They have lots of cozy seating inside as well as a cute garden right outside with benches and tables. It is always easy to find street parking downtown but there is also a parking lot behind the building.

The Halo Halo here cost $10+, the most expensive Halo Halo we ever purchased. For a mediocre blend, it's quite a joke to set this kind of dessert at that price. We would happily pay $10+ more if this Halo Halo was made extra special with more loaded ingredients or a taller serving, but there's nothing special in Tea-Rex's version. The Halo Halo was served to our table in front of the Pork & Spoon concession instead of us having to pick it up from the concession, so we appreciate Tea-Rex's customer service. Burlington Food Hall seemed to have a nice casual dining space to enjoy food but its layout of the shops is questionable. We had to go to the back area of the building to find Tea-Rex and the few other spots while Pork & Spoon is very visible in the front area of the hall. We haven't tried any of Tea-Rex's milk teas & other desserts but from what we've seen in its concession, the milk teas look quite generic. Pork & Spoon referred us to them when we asked if they offered Halo Halo, which I thought was a good teamwork between the two shops in Burlington Food Hall. Sadly, neither shops gave us a good reason to revisit this new food hall. I will publish my review of Pork & Spoon soon. As for Tea-Rex NC, their Halo Halo was just disappointing. We rather get the $8+ Halo Halo in the Oriental Store in Raleigh, but that's another story. | Overall Score: 2.0/5

Kept it simple--nitro cold brew and an iced Bear Claw with almond milk. First off, that nitro was clean as hell. Smooth, no bitterness, and the fact that it's naturally sugar-free without sacrificing flavor? That's a win all day. The Bear Claw was solid too--nice balance with the almond milk, not overly sweet, just easy to enjoy. And one thing I really respect--their whipped cream is always sugar-free. That's huge for me living a sugar-free lifestyle, and it shows they actually think about their customers. Best part though, out of nowhere, both the barista and I looked up and boom... line out the door. We kind of just looked at each other like "well damn," and honestly, good for them. That's what happens when you're doing things right. Even with the rush, everybody kept a great attitude. Customers, staff; just good people all around. That small-town Burlington feel is real here. Folks talking, connecting, or just chilling on the couch doing their own thing--no pressure, no weird energy, just a genuinely cool environment. And this place actually feels welcoming. Not that forced "too cool" coffee shop vibe you sometimes get. Just real people, treating you like a normal human being. That goes a long way. Also worth calling out... So their rewards program is legit. You get 10 points for every dollar you spend, and it adds up fast. I've already built up enough where I could knock about half off my bill if I wanted to. That's real value, not just marketing fluff. It's got that perfect mix of small-town vibe with modern convenience, and I really hope that never changes. This has been a consistently solid spot for me, and I'll keep coming back!

I've been to Salvation many times, and it used to be one of my top-recommended coffee shops in Burlington, NC. Unfortunately, not anymore. Customer service during my recent visits has been disappointing. The baristas often made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. While there was one occasion when the person at the register was kind and welcoming. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas when I met up with my siblings, and the experience was especially unpleasant. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, customer service was poor, and the coffee itself was underwhelming. The espresso in my latte was barely noticeable. Worst of all, the music was extremely loud and filled with constant profanity, to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to leave to meet outside instead. I hope this review is not taken in the wrong way, but I genuinely used to enjoy Salvation Coffee, but the decline in service, atmosphere, and overall experience has been noticeable and disappointing.
