Walked into Salvation Coffee for the first time this year, but I've been here multiple times throughout 2025, so this isn't a one-off experience. Kept it simple--nitro cold brew and an iced Bear Claw with almond milk. First off, that nitro was clean as hell. Smooth, no bitterness, and the fact that it's naturally sugar-free without sacrificing flavor? That's a win all day. The Bear Claw was solid too--nice balance with the almond milk, not overly sweet, just easy to enjoy. And one thing I really respect--their whipped cream is always sugar-free. That's huge for me living a sugar-free lifestyle, and it shows they actually think about their customers. Best part though, out of nowhere, both the barista and I looked up and boom... line out the door. We kind of just looked at each other like "well damn," and honestly, good for them. That's what happens when you're doing things right. Even with the rush, everybody kept a great attitude. Customers, staff; just good people all around. That small-town Burlington feel is real here. Folks talking, connecting, or just chilling on the couch doing their own thing--no pressure, no weird energy, just a genuinely cool environment. And this place actually feels welcoming. Not that forced "too cool" coffee shop vibe you sometimes get. Just real people, treating you like a normal human being. That goes a long way. Also worth calling out... So their rewards program is legit. You get 10 points for every dollar you spend, and it adds up fast. I've already built up enough where I could knock about half off my bill if I wanted to. That's real value, not just marketing fluff. It's got that perfect mix of small-town vibe with modern convenience, and I really hope that never changes. Honestly, I don't like leaving reviews like this, but after several visits with consistently poor experiences, I feel I should leave my honest review. I've been to Salvation many times, and it used to be one of my top-recommended coffee shops in Burlington, NC. Unfortunately, not anymore. Customer service during my recent visits has been disappointing. The baristas often made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a customer. While there was one occasion when the person at the register was kind and welcoming. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas when I met up with my siblings, and the experience was especially unpleasant. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, customer service was poor, and the coffee itself was underwhelming. The espresso in my latte was barely noticeable. Worst of all, the music was extremely loud and filled with constant profanity, to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to leave to meet outside instead. I hope this review is not taken in the wrong way, but I genuinely used to enjoy Salvation Coffee, but the decline in service, atmosphere, and overall experience has been noticeable and disappointing. read more

Why do I keep coming back here? The coffee tastes great! There was a bit of a snag the last visit where 2 customers had an issue at the counter. There was a financial/technical issue where the 2 customers behind them had to wait for the entire staff to figure them out - for seven full minutes - seriously, at first, it was just one staff, then passed to another, then all 3 are involved! When it was finally worked out, an apology was given - but guys - complimentary coffee would have made that wait disappear. read more

I love a coffee roaster with themed coffee choices for flavor. My choice was The Salty Dog. This place has a diverse menu of coffee, tea, and chai tea offerings. It's the perfect place to chill with a good amount of seating. The staff help you with your order suggestions. read more

Wanted to get some coffee before my nieces gymnastics meet so we stopped here. It's located in a strip mall but it was so cute! They were decorated so nicely for Christmas, but you could tell that even without the holiday decorations, it was a really adorable, thoughtful space. And the barista's were very friendly and very helpful. I got the lavender latte. I was expecting something more like the lavender cold foam that you get from one of those nation wide coffee chains but it was not like that. It was still good, but not what I was expecting. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely going to check this place out again but maybe try a different beverage. It was just so local, so refreshing, and so lovely. read more

One of my favorite coffee places in the Burlington area! I love locally owned shops, and this one always has really flavorful coffee, friendly service and an inviting atmosphere. I appreciate the fact that they have a cooler at the front of the shop where you can grab some of their chilled coffee to go and save it for later! I've heard good things about the coffee, but I don't think I will ever get the opportunity to try it. We showed up at 5:42pm (supposedly closed at 6pm) to a lit up "Open" sign, but the door was locked. The place was empty and they just decided to close early, after we excitedly traveled 20 minutes to try their coffee. We tried to see if someone would let us in, but no one did. Stumbled upon this coffee shop during my trip to Burlington and I am so glad I did! It is veteran owned and when they say supreme quality, they really mean it. Ambiance: 5/5 - Felt like the atmosphere was solid for just a hang out or for getting work done. Would definitely do schoolwork from here Price: 5/5 - I seriously felt that their prices were reasonable when compared to Starbucks or other chains. The toasty oat drink that I had was $6 when the same thing at starbucks would be around $8. Food: 5/5 - I LOVE the Toasty Oat drink. I'm a fan of oat milk in coffee and usually try to get it with any new drink I try. This drink had honey and oat milk but it wasn't too sweet even with whipped cream added on top. Solid coffee joint with lots of different options and specials! I ordered the Kobra chai and honey latte on separate occasions. The kobra chai was spicy with a great kick but a little too sweet for my liking. I got the lavender latte iced but it felt too much of w desert that I could not finish. First of all, BELIEVE THE HYPE, BELIEVE THE REVIEWS!! 5 Stars WELL DESERVED! This coffee shop was out of this world, phenomenal!! The music while waiting in line has great bass and myself and the woman in front of us were tapping our feet and rocking to the music. After narrowing down a drink selection, I chose the salty dog, hot, and my girlfriend got a cold brew, both with Oatmilk. The drink came out very quickly, in about 2 minutes, staff was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. You could tell the vibes here And it really makes you want to stay a while & hang out. Their products for sale are super cute and great quality. There are to toboggans (not sleighs, but beanies or hats), shirts, cups, and all sorts of things to let other know that you've visited here. Some is branded, others are not. I loved the "pothead" beanie with a picture of a coffee pot on the front. Lol I'm def a coffee-pothead!!! I would certainly make the drive back to THIS shop from High Point, just to grab a drink. The cup insulated the coffee very well, as we were on the way to the NC State Fair and The drink was hot the entire over an hour drive. They also have fresh baked goods and I grabbed a homemade oatmeal pie. Y'all, I had never had one homemade before, only the ones made my little Debbie, but it's HIGE and soft. The creme filling is not too sweet. It was sooo good! I put it in the fridge and ate on it for about 3-4 days and it remained tasty! Looking forward to returning!! The coffee itself is alright, definitely overpriced for what it is. The managing staff is super money hungry and b****y. I try to go there every Sunday morning to get some work done for 2 hours since I have to be in Burlington, and I sit there and bother absolutely NOBODY. But staff will consistently bother you telling you that you need to purchase something to use their horrible 10mbps wifi, which I totally understand. I get there around 11am, and leave at 1 and I usually like to order something at 12-12:30, and of course they bothered me telling me to buy something which I did. As soon as I bought their overpriced coffee, they turn off the wifi and I had to leave. Thank God I had autosave turned on on what I was working on, because if I had lost something in the process I would have 100% taken legal action with a lawyer, since I have every right too. I'm definitely disputing that charge for that coffee, since I was lied to by not having access to the wifi after buying, and I advise anyone to not go there especially if you plan on staying inside- it's super cold , loud, and dark anyways. After stopping in Mebane on the way to Charlotte, we were in desperate need for some coffee. After searching, we found this spot with a diverse/fun coffee menu and veteran owned. With my dad being a veteran, I thought this would be good spot. I was wrong - it wasn't good, it was AMAZING! This spot is the perfect spot to work or stop in for a quick coffee. The inside has such character! With the wood carved menu and seasonal menus on parchment paper with fun artwork, it was an awesome environment with something for everyone! We ordered the El Sancho and a latte with oat milk. My dad loves Mexican Mochas and was thrilled with their El Sancho latte. The latte was perfectly spicy. Based on a recommendation, my wife and I stopped by Salvation on our way from Charlotte to Chapel Hill. I love the smaller, local coffee shops and try to visit them every chance I get. Salvation is a great local find and has really good coffee. It definitely has the local coffee shop vibe with the tables for working, or visiting, and a rustic barn style decor. The staff was friendly and the coffee was excellent. As a little added touch they sell to go bags of cold brew coffee. I't a perfect little grab and go bag with about four cups of cld brew in it. read more

Holy cow! First time customer at this establishment let me start by saying, Starbucks and Dunkin are nothing compared to this place. Quality coffee here! The environment at this place is super cool and welcoming. The staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. I am a coffee lover and haven't been living in North Carolina for a significant amount of time. I've drive. Past this place, heard about this place but never stopped in.
