I will not be recommending this business establishment to anyone. I felt it was rude, and the employee was just being lazy. I didn't get her name, but she was middle aged, kind of slender, and had short, purple hair. Ya'll need to get your priorities straight. Quality coffee, quality service and quality interactions. This is not a place to visit if you're in a hurry but that's good on so many levels. The baristas and owners take their time with each customer to make sure the drinks are perfect. I was provided a description of different types of roast and didn't feel rushed while I chose from a selection of seasonal offerings. I opted for the Caramel Miso latte with macadamia nut milk (no extra charge for the milk). Such a delicious balance of slight sweetness with the savory miso and nutty milk. It was perfect. I also got a bag of beans and they ground them up right there. They have a selection of pastries that I didn't try but definitely will next time. What really stood out to me was that even though a line formed out the door, no one seemed to mind waiting and no one was annoyed when the owner stopped taking orders to come and make sure my drink and others were satisfactory. Again, a quality experience. The cafe is only open three days a week which is probably a blessing because I'd spend all my money in there every day.

I got the seasonal gingerbread latte, which the staff was raving about and featured very fresh ingredients (ginger and two other ingredients that were made with love) and I chose milk from Homeland Creamery. I also grabbed a seasonal fruit tart that was from Camino Bakery in Winston-Salem, which was a perfect treat. I like that it is a local bakery too. They also allow you to bring your own cup, which I plan to do next time. I purchased a bag of coffee to make at home and was happy to get a discount, such a nice perk! I'll definitely be back. While there was one occasion when the person at the register was kind and welcoming. My most recent visit was the day after Christmas when I met up with my siblings, and the experience was especially unpleasant. The atmosphere was unwelcoming, customer service was poor, and the coffee itself was underwhelming. The espresso in my latte was barely noticeable. Worst of all, the music was extremely loud and filled with constant profanity, to the point that we felt uncomfortable staying inside and had to leave to meet outside instead. I hope this review is not taken in the wrong way, but I genuinely used to enjoy Salvation Coffee, but the decline in service, atmosphere, and overall experience has been noticeable and disappointing.
