I normally don't like cinnamon in my coffee, but they did it perfectly. The service was great, and the menu was easy to read. I didn't have a long wait time at all, especially for a weekday. Today Union Coffee came to my work and of course this was after I came to work with a Starbucks latte. My coworkers had such cute drinks that I got a hot chocolate. The "latte art" on my hot chocolate was gorgeous! The drink was delicious! I loved it. The barista was so so kind! Absolutely one of my favorite coffee shops in the area. Union coffee sits downtown adjacent-close enough for a drink if you're in the downtown area, but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It's next to a barbershop on the corner directly across from Elon's law school. I really enjoy the positive upbeat atmosphere of Union coffee. There's always good music playing-a good mix of new and old music from different genres. The staff is always happy to help and positive. The natural light is amazing for a good pick me up. Now to the coffee-I absolutely love their different blends and brews. This is a coffee shop that has excellent coffee. There's a rotating variety and I've always tried something new and have never been disappointed. They give a good breakdown of what the flavor notes are in the coffee and they're always spot on. On my most recent visit, I tried the Pickle Back-espresso, pickle, juice, and tonic water. It was reasonably priced. (about $4), refreshing, and tasty. Words, I never thought I would utter with such a crazy combination. It's definitely worth a visit, stop by and try something new! read more

Revisited Union coffee after yoga today and our experience was just as good as the last. Make sure to sign up to receive points. I was able to use mine to get a $1 off my coffee today. Ok, so we didn't go for the coffee, we went to support some of our local DJs during a day party on Sunday afternoon. The music was awesome, Union Coffee shop even had some alcohol choices. But then we smelled fresh brewed coffee and you know, it immediately makes you want some. So I ordered a Mocha Latte (almond milk) ...that was THE END of me ever getting coffee anywhere else ! That drink was so perfect, my bf drank half of it and we had to get another, no matter how late we stay up- we were sipping Union Coffee at 7pm mmmmm. And we danced haha. Definitely will go back for coffee (we live 32 minutes away) and most definitely will go back for the Groove Lab Sunday dance parties. In our daily quest for great coffee served in a comfortable atmosphere and inviting vibe we decided to swing by Union Coffee in downtown. If you have not been here it is right next to Elon Law School on Friendly. I had a large hot latte (6$) and it was beautifully presented and has a rich creamy taste. Very satisfying. My wife had a lavender latte ($5) with oat milk ($1). It too was very neatly presented and was delicious. As fellow reviewers have noted they do charge an extra dollar for alternative milk. That is a bit off putting; however if you know that going in I want to judge Union for what they served and whether we feel it is a value. It is in my view. Perhaps the proprietor can think of a better way to manage the alternative milk addition better. It's like paying for a carryon on some airlines when other airlines simply fold in the overall costs in to the price of the ticket. That just feels less egregious. We stopped into Union coffee on our way out of the GEO parade for a pick me up and I'm so glad we did! If you know me you know I love a good drink special and the white chocolate molasses off of the seasonal menu was amazing! So unique and just the right beverage to keep me moving right along with my day. Went here for an event my friend had and it was such a great time. The ambiance was calm. The service was incredible. The lady that helped us, she was blond (I don't remember her name) she was so kind. She gave amazing suggestions based on what the people's taste were like. I am so glad UC is now open on Sunday! Parking can be a challenge during the week, however metered parking is available just around the corner. Coffee is consistently yummy! Smooth, bold roast. I enjoyed a lavender latte, asked for 1/2 sweet since most coffee establishments make flavored lattes too sweet for my pallet. They nailed it! A hint of sweet that didn't over shadow the coffee taste. I should have gone 'extra hot' , will know better next time. Staff were friendly, quiet, low key and efficient. Lastly, I am not a fan of the all too common steep up-charge for alt. milks. They did not use $1 worth of oat milk in my small latte. I have only ordered the dirty chai (with an extra espresso shot of course) and they've been delicious so I thought I'd try their matcha but I was unfortunately disappointed. I'm not surprised though because most places can't make a good matcha but I had high hopes for this place! Also depends on the person making it.
