While the coffee is still the biggest strength, Joy Bar does offer more. Whether you need a baked good, a bag of beans, a chocolate bar (courtesy of local artisans Eigen), or a gift, Joy Bar has you covered. The baristas are always friendly, and while there isn't always a table to spare (inside at least - patio seating is usually open in nicer weather), the atmosphere remains comfortable. He was very friendly and very personable. You can tell he absolutely loves his city and coffee. He was just phenomenal. Several regulars stopped in and he knew them by name. He does not sell prepared coffee drinks in the shop, but did recommend local bakeries and cafes that did. BTW, Dots & Pearls was one he recommended and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! He sales coffee beans. This is a roastery, so you're getting fresh roasted beans from some of the most notable coffee regions in the country. It is awesome. I purchased a bag of Sumatra dark roast and a big bottle of chai concentrate. My partner said the chai is delicious.
