They are located directly across from Brookstown Inn within a quaint shopping center. They have parking on front and the shop is huge. There is plenty of comfortable seating inside such as couches, bar top tables, counter seating, tabletops & a covered patio. They offer baked goods, pastries, waffles, smoothies, matcha, and coffee/espresso. Ms. Abby & her staff are kind and know the regulars. They roast their coffee beans on site and also sell bags of coffee (beans & ground). They have creative drinks and give back to the community. I met with community leaders regularly at this shop and many had never been before and were happy to revisit. My favorite drinks are anything mocha and they never disappoint. You will find many of my favorites pictured. I recommend them all the time. Give them a try.

This place is known for its ethically sourced coffee and he works directly with coffee growers and you can taste the quality!! It was good espresso and very refreshing. The vibe and decor inside was great- it feels very upscale and welcoming. They have plenty of seating and feels very open and clean with natural light. That, and I believe they pull shots more on the ristretto side. It also could be that because some of their syrups are homemade, th balance of water in the syrup causes for more dilution in the taste vs. traditional mfg syrups. For this latte loving girl, I've found that ordering my lattes "short" (less milk" or with extra ice is a sufficient workaround. This little gem is a nice "third place" in Ardmore. Dark farmhouse modern interior that can get a little loud at times. Baristas are friendly enough. Bring your own cup and they discount 10% off your drink total!

But today was the day! As soon as you show up, you know this isn't your typical coffee shop. The outside of the place looks like it could be an Inn in the neighborhood (which who knows maybe it was at one point.) The vibe inside gives off quiet workspace/library, and definitely gives off the lobby of an Inn (think Gilmore Girls.) There was some people scattered around but I didn't take a deep look inside since I was just passing by. I ordered my ice vanilla latte. The first thing I remember realizing was that it wasn't very sweet. Which is not a bad thing, sometimes they can be made really sweet other times they can be not so sweet. This latte was in the middle. I could taste the creaminess from the oat milk too. I would definitely check this place out again and try out some of their other drinks that they offer. I would even like to stay in and work inside and see more of the environment inside.

That said, I visited on Easter, so the church lot was full, but we were still able to find a spot to parallel park at the end of the street. They serve a decent variety of coffee and other drinks, but have a limited food/pastry menu. I got an iced lavender vanilla latte with oat milk, which is something I order at a lot of places. Sometimes, the lavender tastes so artificial it reminds me of eating soap -- I think certain brands of syrup taste better than others. That was not the case here. I don't know what brand they use, but it must be one of the better ones, because it tasted mild and delicious. Both lavender and vanilla came through. The espresso was smooth and not bitter. The ratios of everything were great as well -- not too much oat milk but not too little -- the perfect latte.

The sweet potato tart was spicy and I could really appreciate the nutmeg cinnamon and allspice flavors in a creamy sweet potato base. The crust was also very well prepared as it was just crunchy enough. The owners Al and Eric who told me his nickname is turmeric were also there and they were so pleasant and kind. Eric told me that his nickname is turmeric, and I complimented him on the excellent play on his name. He told me that they have events often and tonight they will be having a tribute to D'Angelo with the DJ and everything! Later in the month, they are going to have a Prince tribute as well! He also mentioned a paint and sip event where the artist will be there. They have beautiful art on the walls and the vibe here is cozy and pleasant. The prices are also very good as I paid less than $20 for my mocha latte which was called the Twin City mint because it had mint in it muffin and sweet potato tart! the Twin City mint was only one of the fun Winston-Salem based names that all of their drinks have. The Twin City mint was mocha latte with mint added to it. I also love the fact that I was able to order my drink modified with one pump of dark chocolate instead of 2 1/2 pump of mint instead of two. I love the fact that they allow you to customize their drinks. This is very important as it is very customer oriented! they are open Tuesdays through Fridays from 7 AM until 2 PM but on the nights that they have events of course they're open longer.
