Super cool shop! I stopped in for coffee and went on a journey through a maze of gifts, home goods, wine and spirits, pet items...you name it. Service was great and my cold Americano was delicious. I bought some fresh honey for my dad who loved it. I can't wait to go back. I had my eye on a lot of cool items. I parked in the back. No issues at all. Such a lovely concept and business. read more

THE BEST COFFEE. Proves you don't need fancy syrups or foam art to make great coffee. I always order a plain cup, black and it's somehow consistently the best in town - smooth, bold, but never bitter. The atmosphere is adorable. You'd never know something like this sits out off Church St. It's a hidden gem for unique gifts, native to our area. The epitome of supporting local. Ample parking in the back, family owned, and the service is always friendly. Love this place! It's worth a drive. read more

Cattywampus is one of those places that just nails every vibe you might be in the mood for. Want great coffee and a pastry? They've got you. Feel like wandering around a charming country style shop? Go for it. Looking for a relaxed happy hour with a beer or a glass of wine? Absolutely. Or you can do all three, which is usually what ends up happening when we go. It's down the street from us, and my wife and I love coming here to unwind. She wanders the shop while I settle in with a cold beer or a hot or iced coffee on their comfortable patio. They always have new merchandise, consistently good snacks and pastries, and a back room stocked with beer and wine. The staff is warm and welcoming, and you always run into other friendly locals doing the exact same thing you are. It's a quaint spot, but they make the most of the whole place and deliver a really fun and relaxing outing every single time. read more

Cattywampus General Store - Gift Shops Near Me - Greensboro, North Carolina

This is the cutest spot to pop in, grab a coffee, tea, smoothie and/or baked good to enjoy while you do some shopping for local artisan goods! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming with an almost overwhelming selection of goodies, trinkets, and self-care items to shop from! I didn't have much time to peruse the store but I will definitely be back to search all of the shelves for the perfect gift, gadget, or treasure! I think they also serve beer & wine that can be enjoyed on their outdoor patio! Literally stop in for a sip or a shop...and plan to stay a while! read more

This is such a cool local business in Greensboro. I stopped by yesterday to pick up some goodies for a gift basket and this store did not fail me. There are so many unique local things you can purchase here. They had candy and coasters and T-shirts, and all sorts of goodies! It was very nostalgic and reminds me of Mast general store. You can also get a customized coffee drink while you're there! Definitely worth a visit. They even have a cute little patio area outside where you can sit and drink your drink. read more

I was on the hunt for a store with a lot of local items for a local themed gift basket and boy did I hit the jackpot! This store had everything! Pillows, postcards, kitchen towels, snacks like chips and nuts, candles, soaps, hats, pouches, tshirts, jewlery, shot glasses, tea, and even pet swag! Everywhere I turned, there was something to suit every gift preference! The young lady working was also very nice and helped me come up with a variety of items to put in my basket. An added bonus of this place is that there is a coffee counter, tea, smoothie, and refresher counter. Since it was late in the day, it was recommended that I try the strawberry smoothie and I was not disappointed! Next time I'm in the need for local gifts or have visitors in town looking for local souvenirs, I'll be sure to come back here! read more

V cute store with wide assortment of goods: foods to arts and crafts to seasonal items and jewelry to wine and coffee and desserts. Place can be a bit cramped with the amount of items in store, but it was quite empty and quiet on a Thursday afternoon and I imagine it would be mostly locals that would come since it seems a bit out of the way. Go around back for plenty of parking. They have chairs and umbrellas out front for people to enjoy their coffee. read more

I have become a frequent visitor if this little shop in the past year and looking back I can see I was not impressed with my first visit and I can say service is hit or miss for me. Some staff are super sweet and friendly and others just need a personality change so it really sets the tone and experience for me which is why I cannot give this place five stars. I must say the steamers and hot chocolate are super tasty and I love the merchandise they have. I even sent the husband there to secure some Christmas gifts for me! read more

Ah I LOVE this place! It is so cute and cozy. I could spend all day in here shopping and hanging out. They have the absolute cutest and most unique gifts from homemade jams/salsas to wine and beer! Parking is plentiful and the location is great. I ordered The Cattywampus this morning which is a cold brew coffee over espresso, honey, cinnamon, & almond milk over ice, and it was amazing! The only issue is that I drank it too fast. My mom ordered the Sugar and Spice, a hot drink (or can be ordered cold) and she loved it, too! I can't wait to go back and try it. I left with a bottle of wine and a deep urge to come back ASAP and do some more shopping. The baristas were so sweet and welcoming, and we loved sitting on the front patio enjoying our coffees. See you again soon! read more

Cutest shop, perfect for local gifts, paired with coffee and pastries? It's a yes for me! Cattywampus has been a recent place of interest for me, starting at Christmas time. My sister and I stopped here on a whim before heading to a Bible study and I'm so glad we did. I was able to get a few gifts for family members because of their wide variety products. They feature local jewelry, food products, knickknacks, candles, home goods, purses, and more. I found something for everyone. They even have a small room in the back with specialized and local wine and beer. Their coffee and pastries are also excellent! I've tried an americano, an oat milk latte, and The Cattywampus which is their cold brew, espresso, honey, cinnamon and almond milk. I loved it! I can't wait to go back and get another. Their staff is friendly and helpful and I highly suggest making Cattywampus a destination if you're in Greensboro. read more

Novelty items - they suck me in every dang time! There is nothing better to me than visiting a country store, strolling the aisles of trinkets while sippin' on something gooood. That's exactly what you'll get at cCattywampus General Store on Church street. I used to pass this building every day going to work at the office and of course, as luck would have it, as soon as I started WAH, they opened this little gem. Inside you can find everything from home decor to a room full of beer/wine/cider selections to candy/chocolates galore. They also have a counter where "refreshers", smoothies, teas, and coffee can be ordered - made fresh! My husband and I got the strawberry açaí refresher to share and it was absolutely delicious. Just what we needed on a hot day. We also brought home some toffee and chocolate bars because that's just what we like! If you're into cutesy little stores like we are - this spot is definitely a place you have to stop in to! read more

Love love love this place!! I was visiting my sister and she kept saying I needed to stop in to check out this cute coffee shop. I'm so glad that I did. Forget the chain coffee shops if you live in northern greensboro this is where you should be getting your coffee. If you work from home this shop provides the perfect little get away, bring your lap top and sign on enjoy some coffee and fresh baked goods. They even have a really nice wine (and beer) selection. They have wine tastings as well. This really is a "general store", they had an amazing selection of candles, mugs, florals, homemade soaps, syrups...so many goods that you can't find in big box stores. I really enjoyed my visit. The customer services was 10/10. The drink (the upside down) amazing. Trying to figure out how to recreate it at home. Highly recommend!! read more

Cattywampus General store is definitely a general store with a small coffee bar inside. There's a handful of tables and chairs scattered throughout the store to sit and enjoy your coffee. Of course you'll want to peruse all the fun items they offer in the store. Everything from home decor to handbags to wine, and of course, coffee. Part of the fun of visiting this cute shop is the drive out to the country with the pretty views and feeling like you really are about to land at a general store. They have a nice selection of coffee offerings. The girl behind the counter was very friendly and willing to accommodate my request for late afternoon coffee with no caffeine. She made me a caffeine free iced latte with oat milk. Yummy! read more

Met a friend for a walk around the lake at Bur-Mil park, and we wanted to sit and chat, so followed our phones to this little crossroads. There is a little store with Knick-knacks inside, and they have great wifi, and the outside terrace is very cozy for an afternoon cuppa. The staff are a great, laughing and enjoying being there, rather than just putting in time. The drinks were very well made, the milk foamed just right for my cappuccino (and you know how much I hate a bad cappuccino!) They have a frequent customer card, and a QR code on the back that opens their drink menu! Saw this in Spain earlier this year, and I hope it catches on more around here. They haven't been here long, but they are doing things right in my book! Still looking for their sweet sofa, though (you'll have to go and get on their wifi to get that joke!) read more

If you're looking for a gift for someone around the Greensboro area, Cattywampus General Store would be a great place to start your search. Very much a country store energy with an eclectic, ever-changing assortments of gift options, many of which are unique to Greensboro specifically, which I appreciated. I was able to find some cute Greensboro post cards to send to relatives, and there were plenty of other city-themed options to choose from. There's also a very lovely little coffee bar inside! The coffee was the reason I actually found myself at Cattywampus when I first visited. The one downside is that the coffee bar tends to be understaffed, and because of this the line can sometimes be long and slow-moving. The baristas work hard and are incredibly friendly so it's not to knock them, but something to be aware of if you're planning to stop in. Make sure you allow for extra time and don't expect a super quick service. read more

I've only ever had the chai tea, but it's delicious warm. Super cute gift shop with unique gifts.

Words cannot express how much this area needed this place.. After the world's longest week I ventured in here to try their coffee. I had my 2 girls in tow. From the moment we walked in the door they were absolutely the sweetest people ever. They had no idea how frazzled I was but they answered every question and gave me so many different drink options. They have so many different kinds of milks. You name it they have it. I went with my standard drink because that is how I judge a place. It was absolutely delicious. The store is adorable with so many local any local North Carolina products and I will definitely be back to do some Christmas shopping. Thank you so much to the 2 women working behind the counter on Friday morning. It was the perfect happy cure to a very long very long week. read more

Cattywampus General Store is a nifty little store and coffee shop. Stopping in only because it's a cute little store, we were surprised by what we found inside. Inside is a coffee bar that offers smoothies as well as specialty drinks. I'll come back to that. Geared more towards the feminine clientele, the hot sauces, beers, and sodas kept me interested while my bride shopped around. This place is packed full of items for sale. Full! Jewelry, socks, candles, candy, beer and wine, etc. My wife found a wine that she's had before but couldn't find anywhere so they happily ordered a case for her. Now the coffee drinks. Aside from the regular coffee drinks they have a few specialties and I got one, the Hurricane. Espresso with a hint of cherry syrup and topped off with Boylan Cola makes for an intriguing drink. Not something I'd want everyday, it was a nice change from normal coffee drinks. If you are ever on N. Church St. stop at Cattywampus General Store and check it out. You might find a pair of socks that show how you feel about that business meeting on Monday morning. read more
