This is such a cool local business in Greensboro. I stopped by yesterday to pick up some goodies for a gift basket and this store did not fail me. There are so many unique local things you can purchase here. They had candy and coasters and T-shirts, and all sorts of goodies! It was very nostalgic and reminds me of Mast general store. You can also get a customized coffee drink while you're there! Definitely worth a visit. I was on the hunt for a store with a lot of local items for a local themed gift basket and boy did I hit the jackpot! This store had everything! Pillows, postcards, kitchen towels, snacks like chips and nuts, candles, soaps, hats, pouches, tshirts, jewlery, shot glasses, tea, and even pet swag! Everywhere I turned, there was something to suit every gift preference! The young lady working was also very nice and helped me come up with a variety of items to put in my basket. An added bonus of this place is that there is a coffee counter, tea, smoothie, and refresher counter. Since it was late in the day, it was recommended that I try the strawberry smoothie and I was not disappointed! Parking was easy and convenient. There are some In front, on the side of the store and also the back. As soon as I walked in, I knew it was my kind of store..from them have coffee, baked goods and oh boy so much to look at. I have become a frequent visitor if this little shop in the past year and looking back I can see I was not impressed with my first visit and I can say service is hit or miss for me. Some staff are super sweet and friendly and others just need a personality change so it really sets the tone and experience for me which is why I cannot give this place five stars. My sister and I stopped here on a whim before heading to a Bible study and I'm so glad we did. I was able to get a few gifts for family members because of their wide variety products. They feature local jewelry, food products, knickknacks, candles, home goods, purses, and more. I found something for everyone. They even have a small room in the back with specialized and local wine and beer. Their coffee and pastries are also excellent! I've tried an americano, an oat milk latte, and The Cattywampus which is their cold brew, espresso, honey, cinnamon and almond milk. I loved it! I can't wait to go back and get another. Ah I LOVE this place! It is so cute and cozy. I could spend all day in here shopping and hanging out. They have the absolute cutest and most unique gifts from homemade jams/salsas to wine and beer! Parking is plentiful and the location is great. I ordered The Cattywampus this morning which is a cold brew coffee over espresso, honey, cinnamon, & almond milk over ice, and it was amazing! The only issue is that I drank it too fast. My mom ordered the Sugar and Spice, a hot drink (or can be ordered cold) and she loved it, too! I can't wait to go back and try it. I left with a bottle of wine and a deep urge to come back ASAP and do some more shopping. The baristas were so sweet and welcoming, and we loved sitting on the front patio enjoying our coffees. Novelty items - they suck me in every dang time! There is nothing better to me than visiting a country store, strolling the aisles of trinkets while sippin' on something gooood. That's exactly what you'll get at cCattywampus General Store on Church street. I used to pass this building every day going to work at the office and of course, as luck would have it, as soon as I started WAH, they opened this little gem. Inside you can find everything from home decor to a room full of beer/wine/cider selections to candy/chocolates galore. They also have a counter where "refreshers", smoothies, teas, and coffee can be ordered - made fresh! My husband and I got the strawberry açaí refresher to share and it was absolutely delicious. Just what we needed on a hot day. We also brought home some toffee and chocolate bars because that's just what we like! Forget the chain coffee shops if you live in northern greensboro this is where you should be getting your coffee. If you work from home this shop provides the perfect little get away, bring your lap top and sign on enjoy some coffee and fresh baked goods. They even have a really nice wine (and beer) selection. They have wine tastings as well. This really is a "general store", they had an amazing selection of candles, mugs, florals, homemade soaps, syrups...so many goods that you can't find in big box stores. I really enjoyed my visit. Of course you'll want to peruse all the fun items they offer in the store. Everything from home decor to handbags to wine, and of course, coffee. Part of the fun of visiting this cute shop is the drive out to the country with the pretty views and feeling like you really are about to land at a general store. Met a friend for a walk around the lake at Bur-Mil park, and we wanted to sit and chat, so followed our phones to this little crossroads. There is a little store with Knick-knacks inside, and they have great wifi, and the outside terrace is very cozy for an afternoon cuppa. The staff are a great, laughing and enjoying being there, rather than just putting in time. The drinks were very well made, the milk foamed just right for my cappuccino (and you know how much I hate a bad cappuccino!) They have a frequent customer card, and a QR code on the back that opens their drink menu! Saw this in Spain earlier this year, and I hope it catches on more around here. Very much a country store energy with an eclectic, ever-changing assortments of gift options, many of which are unique to Greensboro specifically, which I appreciated. I was able to find some cute Greensboro post cards to send to relatives, and there were plenty of other city-themed options to choose from. There's also a very lovely little coffee bar inside! The coffee was the reason I actually found myself at Cattywampus when I first visited. The one downside is that the coffee bar tends to be understaffed, and because of this the line can sometimes be long and slow-moving. The baristas work hard and are incredibly friendly so it's not to knock them, but something to be aware of if you're planning to stop in. I got a Caramel Macchiato and it was delicious ! They have a few pastry type items there from French Artisan Bread as far as food goes. They also have Beer, wine, sodas, candies. Words cannot express how much this area needed this place.. After the world's longest week I ventured in here to try their coffee. I had my 2 girls in tow. From the moment we walked in the door they were absolutely the sweetest people ever. They had no idea how frazzled I was but they answered every question and gave me so many different drink options. They have so many different kinds of milks. You name it they have it. I went with my standard drink because that is how I judge a place. It was absolutely delicious. Inside is a coffee bar that offers smoothies as well as specialty drinks. I'll come back to that. Geared more towards the feminine clientele, the hot sauces, beers, and sodas kept me interested while my bride shopped around. This place is packed full of items for sale. Full! Jewelry, socks, candles, candy, beer and wine, etc. My wife found a wine that she's had before but couldn't find anywhere so they happily ordered a case for her. Now the coffee drinks. Aside from the regular coffee drinks they have a few specialties and I got one, the Hurricane. Espresso with a hint of cherry syrup and topped off with Boylan Cola makes for an intriguing drink. Not something I'd want everyday, it was a nice change from normal coffee drinks. If you are ever on N. Church St. stop at Cattywampus General Store and check it out. What a gem! I've passed Cattywampus several times on the way to Greensboro and finally stopped this afternoon. This is such a cute place. They have hats, snacks, jewelry, decorations, wine and lots more to shop from. Their drink bar has a wide selection of iced, hot and specialty drinks. You must park in the lot off of Archergate, behind the store. Follow the sign to the side door and you will enter facing the coffee bar.
