I'm not the biggest coffee drinker so I decided to get the Strawberry Matcha (with less sugar) to try something different. It was such a great choice. It had the perfect amount of sweetness and the strawberry and matcha compliment each other so well. I definitely found my go-to drink next time I'm here! The service was great too. Great new location. They recently moved across State St into a bigger and brighter spot. Not cramped anymore as it used to be. Plenty of comfy seating with tables, couches and bar window seating. Excellent variety of coffee drinks. My wife and I both had a vanilla caramel latte and they were mixed well which was very well balanced. Good food options as well. Sweet and savory bakery items, plus some freshly made sandwiches to add a bit of variety. Went with the pimento cheese danish. A unique savory item, which my savory palate was very excited about. A bit of a letdown since it wasn't heated up fully, middle was still cold. Next time I'll ask them to run it through the machine twice. Overall, a great new location with friendly baristas, excellent variety of coffee and a decent food menu. read more

Looking for a coffee shop to land in after a doctors appointment I said I try somewhere new. Quaint little shop on State St. they are about to move across the street. Atmosphere could be a little more welcoming (smile, say hello, something). Ordered berry best matcha-they were out of strawberries and asked if raspberries were okay-sure. Then asked what kind of milk and I said almond. Got the drink and it had whole milk. Probably wouldn't hurt to call the order back. Not the greatest first impression. read more

Home Grounds is our Greensboro home away from home! I love and adore Jenna and her staff! I cry like a proud Auntie every time I walk in the door! The place is alive and flowing with the most delicious pastries and coffee! It's such a beautiful coffee shop on the cutest little street in Greensboro! I checked out this local gem this morning and overall I was impressed. The coffee was pretty amazing! Not overly sweet and had wonderful flavor. You can tell the syrup is homemade. It is also very reasonably priced! My iced latte and bagel with cream cheese was $10! The bagel I had was good. I am excited to try the other baked goods. My server was friendly and helpful. Inside was light, bright, clean, and had WiFi there is different types of seating, but the overall shop isn't huge, so I can see it getting full fast. Loved it and I will be back!!! read more

Very pretty coffee shop. It is small, but cozy. The staff are friendly. I ordered an Americano, but the sweets looked so tasty. It was very tempting to not order all of them. This is my favorite coffee shop in Greensboro! This Ross and Rachel drink is my favorite so far and you can never go wrong with a matcha of your choosing. Such a cute little coffee shop! I went around 7am and it was already poppin, which is a good sign! But she got us through the line quickly and we got our treats fast as well. A GREAT local coffee shop with a welcoming atmosphere and nice selection of drinks. The shop is intimate, the coffee has great flavor and that offer a unique set of seasonal favorites. Customer service is Amazing here. A lot of regular come in here and she knows everyone name. So I was very impressed as you don't really see that at all lot of places any more. I was recommended the In the loop Latte. Inspired by honey nut cheerio. And it is incredible. Looking forward to trying other coffee here. Love this place! Coffee selections there are are quite tasty. My friend and I went after our yoga class at Greensboro power yoga. We walked down the road and needed a nice coffee to rejuvenate ourselves. They have some specials for different espresso, teas, Matcha, and other items. They have some small breakfast items on the menu as well. We ordered a chicken salad croissant and the chicken was tender and the salad it was mixed into was a 10. The croissant was warm so the sandwich itself was the perfect combination. The staff there were so friendly and helped us decide which coffee drink ultimately to decide on since we were torn between two or three. There are many places to sit inside and the big windows in the front, letting the natural light in, create a very comforting space. Will definitely return here. read more

Home Grounds started out as a booth in the farmer's market and now has its own brick and mortar spot on State Street in Greensboro! My coffee drink of choice is always a latte and they always have delicious seasonal varieties along with some tried and true options. They make their own syrups which I always appreciate the high quality they offer. My partner enjoys an Americano and loves how he can enjoy a delicious cup of quality coffee. Everyone who works there is extremely friendly and it feels like you are stopping by a friend's house. There are several seating options too so it's comfortable to stay a while or grab and go. There are a couple of parking lots very close by which makes it a convenient stop. It's always a good day when grabbing a latte from Home Grounds. read more

Homegrounds has my heart y'all, and I can't deny it. From a coffee truck, to a stall at the Piedmont Triad Farmers Market, and now to their own brick and mortar, these ladies (two sisters who started it all) have created such a beautiful space in the Greensboro community! Their products are undeniably some of the best in the triad. Homemade syrups, rotating specials menu handcrafted, and superb coffee beans...I mean, can you even argue that they go above and beyond? If you haven't tried them yet, you should get your tail over to State Street and order one of their spectacular beverages. Oh, and if you follow them on social media, they feature a Saturday drink special that's only available that day and it changes every week. While much of the US is avoiding spending at large retailers today, I chose to support a local business. I was at a work offsite nearby and was craving coffee. I just knew the offsite would have coffee but it didn't, so during a break I had the perfect opportunity to check out a local coffee shop! I chose Home Grounds because it was the closest with the highest yelp reviews! This coffee shop is in a super cute area on State Street. My coworker/friend and I were in awe with how cute and quaint the area is! We were in a hurry so my friend ordered the first thing on her mind, a double espresso, and I ordered the first thing on the seasonal menu that was in stock, the razzle dazzle, a raspberry white chocolate shaken espresso (I subbed in oat milk). My friend really liked her shaken espresso and I FELL IN LOVE with my razzle dazzle! It was balanced, not overly sweet (not a fan of super sweet drinks, had the perfect amount of "pick me up", and definitely added in a little razzle dazzle to my day! I came in singing praises about the drink when I returned to my offsite (which hopefully turns into a few new customers). The shop itself was super cozy, the baristas were very friendly and efficient, and there were a few regulars that came in that were greeted by name! Love this little coffee shop! I went for the Elite event, but this wasn't my first experience here. It's really cute and cozy inside, with a really nice patio out back. I'm excited to spend more time out there as it cools off! I went on Saturday morning and it was really busy. Service was a little slower than normal but the baristas were doing the best they could. They also never let their politeness falter even as stressful as it must have been. I ordered their version of a PSL with oat milk, it was good! I was so excited for this place to open. Iykyk, this place is owned by the sisters that have a location at the Piedmont Triad Farmers market, this is their brick and mortar location. I love me a good, local coffee shop and these ladies, they give you great customer service and get to know you! How cozy and quaint this place is, you'll feel like your having your favorite coffee in someone's living room. I love their seasonal drinks but my go-to is the Milk and Honey latte. It is flavorful, bold, sweet, creamy and everything a latte should be. I will drive clear across town, passing any major coffee chain, to get my coffee from Home Grounds. Once you give Home Grounds a try, you will hard-eye-roll if you are forced to get coffee from anywhere else. A quaint little space with delicious coffee and great service. Apparently they are only on a soft open right now, and they feel off to a good start. I recognized the name and they were informing me they had the location over by the Farmers market. So while they are new here and still moving into this space and figuring out hours, you can definitely see they've already got a good hand on crafting good coffee. I can officially say coming here to get a whole milk spicy chai tea latte was an excellent decision! I I'm always fond of a good chai latte in general but this one hit perfect. My friend I believe had a lavender coffee if some sort and said it was delicious. Overall everyone was in a huge approval. So I'd say I hit all around. I'm very glad to see this open here. This is the BEST coffee in Greensboro. They are an independent roaster and having freshly roasted beans makes all the difference. Geta cappuccino because it's every bit as good as one you'd get in Italy. Have a cup of coffee and you're basically in Seattle right now. So good. And you can buy their beans (Vignette coffee) fresh from the roaster. I'm so happy. read more

This latte was in the middle. I could taste the creaminess from the oat milk too. I would definitely check this place out again and try out some of their other drinks that they offer. I would even like to stay in and work inside and see more of the environment inside.

Though most seats were filled when I visited, it was super quiet, like a library. I felt a little uncomfortable having a conversation, afraid of bothering others. I'm not sure if it's always that quiet or not. Street parking is somewhat limited, but there is a church with a parking lot just across the street. That said, I visited on Easter, so the church lot was full, but we were still able to find a spot to parallel park at the end of the street. They serve a decent variety of coffee and other drinks, but have a limited food/pastry menu. I got an iced lavender vanilla latte with oat milk, which is something I order at a lot of places. Sometimes, the lavender tastes so artificial it reminds me of eating soap -- I think certain brands of syrup taste better than others. That was not the case here. I don't know what brand they use, but it must be one of the better ones, because it tasted mild and delicious. Both lavender and vanilla came through. The espresso was smooth and not bitter. The ratios of everything were great as well -- not too much oat milk but not too little -- the perfect latte.

The cookies were all supposedly different flavors but I couldn't tell them apart. They were a basic shortbread dyed different colors, had gummy, flavorless fillings and tasted old. There was 1 biscotti in the box and I'm sorry to say that my not at all Italian mom has made better biscotti. Definitely very pricey considering the quality. It makes me sad that there is still nowhere to get good Italian pastries here.

I found the Patisserie straight away as I passed it on the way to my massage, but the signage on the curb helps since some businesses in Revolution Mills can be quite difficult to find. The storefront itself is quite small, consisting of a standing room and the glass case of baked goods, but there is seating outside and around the establishment. The staff was attentive, briefing me on all the cinnamon rolls they currently had and letting me know that there were some baking that would be available a bit later. Each roll looked decadent with flavors ranging from lemon blueberry, s'mores, and classic. There were also scones and other baked goods available as well, but I had my heart set on the Classic Cinnamon Roll. I bit into this beauty on my way home and it was the softest and most delicious cinnamon roll I have ever had! Baked with brioche dough and topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting, the pillowy texture and flavors were so comforting and satisfying. I don't eat sweets often, so this was the perfect treat to end my day with. I am definitely looking forward to trying the lemon blueberry next!

I got there right on time because they just took the scones out. So it was freshly iced and so yummy. What's not pictured is the chocolate chip cookie. Just do yourself a favor and try it. It was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had. Just to note, this place is in the cut and you have to go down a few stairs but look for their sign posted outside and parking is right across. I'll definitely come back to try more items.

I usually get matcha lattes, but as I recall, their matcha comes pre-sweetened. Staff is always friendly and they recently put up some Christmas decor that helps hit that warm and cozy feel. In front they have lots of coffee and related items to buy and take home. And the location is great for access by walking to other shops and restaurants.
