Tenderloin was rubber Grits were cold Link sausage had no texture nor flavor (almost appeared as if it were a sausage with cereal filler and deep fried - worst sausage link of my life except for a blood sausage). Biscuit was good - very good. Poached egg was solid, not runny. Food was so bad, we almost left after trying one bite of each entre or side. Staff seemed to enjoy their work which was nice. While diners and shopping local are critical, Grill Worx will not be in our cards. :-( read more

Southern hospitality wait was from Amanda our waitress! Very pleasant. The food was delicious and very filling. I couldn't eat it all. Doggie bag needed of course. . Amanda was great. My coffee was filled at all times. When I say she reminded me of that commercial fill it to the rim with brim . she was never letting it go below half . Much appreciated thank you. read more

Walking in it looks quaint. The food is microwaved. Only thing fresh is the eggs. I ordered my hash browns well done. What I got was brown on top and raw inside. I sent it back and got the exact same result back. At this point everything else is cold and I want nothing to do with it. I said that to the waitress and she brought out a box and wanted me to take the food. 10 minutes later I was finally able to leave and pay for my husband's food. Worst experience. Got told I didn't know how to order the hash browns. Since when does well done not mean well done? To top it off they asked me if I wanted to leave a tip....really??? read more

Every time I ride pass this place it's jumping! Decided to wake up and bring the family here for breakfast. The inside is small and slightly dated but the atmosphere is amazing! Service is quick and accurate. The waiters were so nice and gave the kiddos Halloween candy. The food was hot, fresh and decent. I definitely recommend this spot read more

3.5 stars. Great place to go for a quick, hot breakfast with the fam if you are already in the area (not a place to take a trip to visit). There is generally a bit of a wait on weekend mornings, in my experience. Great customer service every time I've gone. The vibe can be described as Waffle House meets Mom-and-Pop's diner. Not the spot for people who are picky about their dining environment and need fancy decor. Super, super casual, throw-your-hair-into-a-bun and wear-your-jeans-and-tee type spot. Docking a few stars because the place could use a facelift to modernize things, although perhaps the appeal to many locals is the old-town, back-in-the-day diner feel. read more

I normally don't give 5 stars. The service we receive here is worth the 5 stars. Samantha is our usual waitress and she is excellent I told them we come because of the service and stay coming back for the food too. The food overall is good. We do mostly breakfast but some lunch. Pancakes, eggs sausage and bacon are our go to items. I like the biscuits and gravy also. But the service from Samantha and Aloura the reason we keep coming back Thanks Ladies read more

Service was good & food was great as usual! They were so busy on Sunday, we had to wait for a table about 20 minutes!

Good good but gets really busy on a Sunday with all the church traffic. My girlfriend got country fried steak and I got the Philly cheesesteak overall it was pretty good read more

Couple of 2 got stuffed for $16.15 before tLocal yocal hangout for a no frills country breakfast. They are open until 3PM and serve country cooking for lunch as well. Gave 5 stars because the breakfast was spot on (like momma made) and the service was great (nice folks). The price point is AWESOME as well. Can't wait to try lunch - 4 ate lunch for $28.67 before tip. Still 5 stars. The food is good and fresh but what really makes the place is the food to value ratio. Hard to beat the value for what you get here! read more

I had the BLT & fries sweet tea, extra lemon, one twin had the same, the other had the same except with chips, my sister had the meatloaf, Mac & cheese and cabbage. Our family of six visited here today. The service was friendly and personable. I couldn't have asked for a better waitress and the food was plentiful and delicious. We ate here for $38 but honestly we would have paid more. They have an extensive list of sides and several Mon-Fri daily specials. Breakfast is served ALL DAY! The south of the border omelette is good. I ordered pancakes as a side. By the time I finished the wonderful sweet potato pancakes, I was so full, the thought of eating the omelette seemed challenging. I look forward to our next visit read more

This is quickly becoming one of our favorite weekend breakfast/lunch establishments. It's nicer than a Waffle House but without the tattooed waitresses. It's not quite as elaborate as an IHOP but with better food. The prices are terrific and the atmosphere is cozy. You can tell that the menu was not written from a script because of a few humorous typos, such as the "stake and cheese omelet" Make sure to get a slice of homemade cake on the way out! read more

Food is GREAT and the waitresses are so nice. Best place for breakfast‼‼ Always clean...

Salty! Super nice lady took our to go order, but we we could barely eat what we ordered do to the amount of salt. I was hungry and needed to catch a flight and needed something in my stomach, but I should have waited. I know some people cook with more salt than others, but this was to the extreme. read more

We typically enjoy our food here, mostly. Today, we ordered breakfast platters, and there was no mention that at least 2 of the items we ordered they were out of. Our waitress first brought us only a part of a breakfast platter, then told us they were out of one of the main dishes. She then gave substitutions which we were forced to make and were made based on another item that we were told they were out of after they brought out the substitutions. Who eats gravy without a biscuit? Who eats sunny side up eggs without grits? They gave us the run around and made no attempt at successions and even charged us for the items they were out of. Unbelievably poor service today. I think I will return after the next pandemic. read more

Food was okay. My waitress was great. came in with my family to eat however I found management completely unprofessional and rude to their staff. Overheard the manager talking about our waitress while on my way to the bathroom, making fun of her for spilling tea in the back. Completely unprofessional and if this is how the staff is treated we will not be coming back. read more

Went here on a whim with my friend for dinner and loved it. Went back the next weekend for breakfast and loved that too. Definitely a small local diner, it was completely packed for breakfast, and I can understand why. Prices were more than reasonable for their delicious home-cooked food. I got the nutella french toast with hashbrowns and bacon. Amazing. When I went for dinner it wasn't as packed, but that doesn't mean it's any less in taste quality. I got a melt and my friend got a burger. They were delicious. Worth a stop in if you're in Burlington and looking for local eats. Service was great. If you are going for breakfast, parking may be a bit tight. Especially on the weekends. read more

Filthy. The dust on the vents will fall in your plate. The place is still in the 1960's mindset

We go to the Webb Avenue location almost every weekend here lately. Great omelettes...South of the Border omelette with salsa and sour cream is great and you can easily add bacon or other items to it. Breakfast is served all day. It's usually very busy every time we go, but they are always friendly and get your food to you quickly. Very casual atmosphere. Great quick breakfast place! read more

Great breakfast. The tables are small but the service is so quick you won't be sitting there long. All of the food is delicious.

Thought we would give it a second try. First day was breakfast and secondary for lunch. Eggs are very good. Pancake batter tasted really weird and would never recommend them. Grill ham and cheese - good. Cheese burger was good but not juicy. Prices are cheap so it depends on what you want to do with your money. read more

I'm giving Grillworx 5 stars as this is a perfect "southern" grill. Yes, they have "real" mashed postatoes! The all day breakfast is very good and great biscuits. I've had the eggs, gravy, grits, pancakes, etc and they are always good. My favorite menu item is the country fried steak with the brown gravy . The chicken and dumplings I believe are what they are most known for. When I've ordered it the only negative is that I want more of them. The burgers are very good and cover the entire bun, unlike what someone reviewed. Onion rings are excellent! This place is packed even on Monday morning. Be prepared but the crowd moves rather quickly. Service is very good and most friendly. Various age groups go. I go here often when in the area. read more

Meh. Nothing special but still not terrible. Pretty affordable which is always nice. The omelette was really tasty but a bit small. I would rather have payed an extra dollar for a bigger breakfast. I have been here twice now...two weekends in a row! When missing home, this is the place to go. The food is great and the prices are reasonable (especially for a college kid), but my favorite part is the atmosphere. The waitresses are so hospitable and the service is always quick. A bit greasy, but perfect diner food! read more

The food is okay, but what really gives this place such a terrible rating is the service. I've tried going back to this place a numerous times and all but one of those times has been awful. Honestly the wait staff is just plain rude. Every time I have gone to this restaurant I have felt uncomfortable. I was always given the impression that I was totally inconveniencing my waitress when asking for something. My last, and final, time at this establishment my party ordered waters and most of us also ordered coffee. The coffees came, but the waters never did. When our food came out I asked very politely if we could have some water. To this the waitress responded "well what kind of water do you want?" What kind of question is that? If someone wants hot water they'll ask for it and on top of that this isn't some fancy place with different types of water. I stayed calm and said "just regular drinking water would be fine, thank you." When she returned she slammed our waters on the very edge and walked off. Then I saw her talking to other waitresses and pointing at us. I was totally perplexed. I had no idea what we had done to deserve this. I started paying attention to the service other tables were receiving and noticed that they were being rude like this to everyone. I couldn't believe it. Sorry for the long post, but I just want other customers to know the food is okay, but I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to spend money just to be treated like garbage and receive an average breakfast. read more

Classic breakfast kind of place. Food was decent but not to die for. May return but may not.

This place is straight garbage. Solid 3 steps below Waffle House in terms of cleanliness, service, and quality of "food". Would recommend to literally no one. read more

Grill Worx is a nice place to try for your classic southern style fare. For comfort food like this, you cannot worry much about the calories, just enjoy the taste. Lots of choices, but breakfast is served all day and I go for that. The breakfast offerings are an array from eggs and omelets, to bacon, sausage, gravy, to pancakes and biscuits, and prices are very reasonable if not inexpensive. A plus is that the food is not heavily greasy like a lot of southern breakfast joints. Grill Worx is a diner with wood paneling, pretty good size with booths and tables. I don't think the decor has changed since I first ate here roughly a decade ago. Just basics and no more. During breakfast hours, there are always a gob of regulars and most everyone seems to know everyone. They offer a full menu of breakfast options including omelets. I like their South of the Border Omelet; fresh, full of veggies, jalapeños, some sour cream on top, and large (must be 3 if not 4 eggs). They have a weekday special of two eggs, bacon or sausage, grits or sausage gravy, toast or biscuits for under $4. It is always good. The sausage gravy is very nice. The pancakes are light and fluffy and done just right. The coffee is not bad either. Grill Worx has a full range of lunch and dinner items as well, various sandwiches, country fried steak, steak &cheese, chicken, burgers, melts, some homemade cakes/pies, and much more. The staff is friendly. Busy all day and nearly always a big breakfast crowd. You'll see why. Give them a try. read more

Would really do less stars. I had stopped eating here years ago do to pics surfacing of mildew and mold in ice machine. Recently started back. Ordered spaghetti and salad and bread. Got to work salad was brown. Like old lettuce. Wouldn't even give to my dog. Spaghetti looked okay. Look at the bread and it had mold on it. Like a lot. Called them and was told come in you can have a free meal. Um no. I won't be coming back. read more
