This space was cute and unique! Food was solid; service was excellent, friendly and helpful staff for a few Chicagoans making their first stop in NC. Lovvved the wine special; half off. Enjoyed a nice fresh flute of bubbly for a very reasonable price. Sissy loved the mashed potatoes; we all enjoyed what looked like fresh, cut potato fries! The nephew said the salad was fresh, light and tasty! I had shrimp tacos and sis ordered the wings! We finished all the food; took dessert for the road. The blackberry pound cake and Oreo cheesecake fulfilled the sweets craving for sure!
Legal themed restaurant located in downtown Graham! The restaurant nailed it with the theme because the menu items are perfectly named. The restaurant is cozy. There are a few tables inside and out, so it can get busy depending what time you go. My husband and I arrived and it was seat yourself, so we chose a small high-top inside. We shared the fried pickle chips as an appetizer and I had the assault & battery burger (add lettuce & tomato) for my entree. The burger came with a side, so I chose fries. I enjoyed the food, but I found the fried items (pickles & fries) were slightly over salted. Service was wonderful & quick. Everyone who helped us was very nice. Parking was easy to find. There's free spots to park around the square that are steps away from the restaurant.
Very happy with this decision while in the area. A cute little pub-style restaurant with catchy names as a play on the courthouse being across the street. I had the Chipotle Turkey Panini (from the "Not as Guilty" section of the menu) and the Coconut Caramel Pie (from the "Rebuttals"). The panini was crispy and full of flavor without being greasy or dry and I loved the chipotle sauce. The chips were perfection!! Think extremely thin cut handmade and fried to a crisp... dipped in ranch and I could've placed another order. Now let's talk about dessert!!! This coconut caramel pie was also made in house which sealed my decision that I will be returning SOON. Graham crust with a light cream cheese and coconut filling, topped with toasted coconut and caramel drizzle. I left trying to formulate the recipe in my head to recreate at home. I'm counting down the days til I get it again.
Good panini sandwich and roasted potatoes served up quickly. Fun legal themes and names and nice ambiance inside. The service was fast and nice. It looked like they had a good beer and liquor bar as well.

I got a fish sandwich and fries with wine (white zinfandel). Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of that, however that fish "hangs" off both sides of that bread! On Tuesdays they have $1.00 PBRs. On Wednesdays they have half priced wine (bottles and glasses). On Thursday they have $3.00 drafts. Although they were short staffed, definitely saw team work implemented. It was a little warm inside.... wished they would turn the thermostat to 65°, but that's just me. They did what needed to be done! They close at 8pm, but people were still walking in at 7:55pm & they were all just as friendly! I'm definitely coming back.... but next time on Wednesday! *cheers*
This restaurant is centrally located, just across from the courthouse in the town square. Hence, the name. I love towns that have retained their courthouse square, and this is definitely worth loving. The Verdict brought us a consummately fresh Caesar salad. If you go, have one. In fact, make everybody at your table get one. I ate every scrap. Then, the Bacon Chicken Ranch Tacos on Corn. Because I am gluten intolerant, I deeply appreciate any considerations a restaurant will offer me. The tacos! The bacon was crispy, the chicken well seasoned, the slaw was fresh, and The Crema!! The Crema was a perfect topping. Drippy with goodness. Hubby had the Ribeye Steak Sandwich with Red Potatoes as a side. He ate every bite of his steak sandwich, as well. The waitress was great, too - helpful, observant, service minded. I won't steer you wrong. Go there; you'll thank me.

They had a good kids' menu. Everyone in your group will find something to eat. There was a good selection of gluten-free and dairy-free options! I got the salmon, Brussels sprouts, and hand-cut chips. Parking is accessible on the street. The service is very friendly and quick.

They also have inside and outside seating that is heated. The inside tables are distanced and the employees working in the front were wearing masks. The restaurant is located in the Paris Building. The menu is what impressed me to eat here. Appetizers are "Call the Docket"; salads are "Farm Detention"; Burgers are :Guilty"; fish are "Maritime Law"; sides are "Cell Mates"; kids menu is "Juvenile Court"; there were more but those are what I remember. Service was top notch here; very attentive and made sure I had the proper sides and dressings. I ordered the District Court Burger and chose fries for the side but there were several options from mashed potatoes to green beans to a side salad. The burger was very good that I think I devoured that and the fries pretty quickly. I also got the Harvest Salad with grilled shrimp to go. The shrimp did not make it to the photo but there were six grilled shrimp. The salad is a leafy green mix; sliced apples; strawberries; grapes; dried cranberries; walnuts; goat cheese and bacon. For dessert the blackberry wine pound cake was recommended. It came out like a piece of art and was delicious as well. The desserts are homemade. This is a restaurant I will return the next time I am back in Graham.

Wow this was a nice lunch stop. Our server was very pleasant and prompt. The food was really good. I had the Cubano and my wife got the stool pigeon (chicken sandwich). Both were very good. My wife and I always have fried green tomatoes when available and these were among the best we've tried. Lunch time on a Saturday and no wait for good food at an affordable price. What else could you ask for. read more

This place is the perfect hidden gem! We were headed to the outlets and found this cute little place! Love the whole theme and they commit to it with their menu and beverage item names and I love it! Service was outstanding, food came out wicked fast and everything we got was delish! I love a good tuna melt and this one did not disappoint. Their homemade chips are outstanding! Definitely will be visiting again! read more

3 ate for $62 before tip. We had heard their Salmon was on point (was said the best they've ever had). The Salmon is excellent and their sauce that goes with it is amazing, amazing. Also, some of the best blue cheese dressing you'll find. Enjoyed our visit and will get the salmon again. read more

The Verdict on the Square is a good place to go for lunch or even dessert. The first time I checked this place out I had a delicious slice of cake and was able to get milk with my order. On my second visit I went for lunch. I ordered tacos and my sister ordered the salmon. It was alright. Most recently, I went for a business lunch. Two of us had the harvest salad with fried oysters on top and the third person ordered tacos. The service was friendly and prompt and I really enjoyed my salad a lot. Many places miss the mark on fried oysters but here they are delicious! This is also at a great downtown location with ample parking and the inside aesthetic is nice. I like the wooden floors and that you can see into the kitchen. It's also reasonably priced for what you're getting. read more

We had dinner at El Palmar (see the review) and then, not ready to go home, went just around the courthouse square to the Verdict for a little dessert. The peanut butter pie was delicious. It's a frozen pie that has something like chocolate or peanut butter chips on top and whipped cream on the end, and the plate is drizzled with chocolate as well. It's very rich so it's enough to share unless you just don't want to! The menu looks fantastic so next time I'll try dinner AND dessert! Christy was very nice and a pleasure to speak with! read more

This place was so hyped up by my future in laws who raved about the large variety of bourbons they had. And we were sadly disappointed. We came here and met up with some family friends all in hopes of sharing some good food and drinks. We were promptly seated outside on the patio where we had requested and then the waiter took our drink orders. We quickly went around the table ordering bourbon and wine. Minutes later the waitress returned apologizing that they didn't have the bourbon that my boyfriend had requested. So he asked for a different one. Another 5 minutes passed and again she returned apologizing that THAT bourbon was also not available. We thought, "alright third time's a charm". He then ordered a third time...and again! Not available! At this point, we were thinking "this is a joke". A place that prides themselves on bourbon doesn't have the bourbons that they advertise on their current menu? That's a bit ridiculous. He finally just settled with a glass of wine because at that point, we were already halfway through our drinks. This back and forth thing was getting annoying. We all ordered food. They were pretty accommodating to dietary restrictions/food allergies. I can't have gluten, so I asked for my burger to be on a bed of salad instead of buns. My "burger" (which was really just a patty) came on a leaf. Literally, A LEAF. (See pictures) Everyone around me chuckled in disbelief. Hey, at least they were listening, but...c'mon I think you coulda done a little better than just a leaf. Maybe two leaves? I chose brussel sprouts as my side dish and that was actually way better than the burger. Nicely seasoned and crisped. After all that was said and done, we all left a little disappointed and baffled at the bourbon situation. Overall, not a great experience. We were grateful for the wait staff and host for being accommodating, but I think the Verdict needs a little tune-up on their menu. My verdict? Not my first choice of places to eat, but would consider popping back in if in the area. read more
Service was great and quick. We sat out on the patio with our pup. The patio is super cute and it's dog friendly which is a plus for us! The side Caesar salad was really big which I wasn't expecting. The fries were tasty. The turkey and Brie panini was good but lacked flavor. I decided to add salt to it and then the flavors started coming through and it was really delicious, so the sandwich just needs some salt. read more

The Verdict was a great little spot to visit on my trip to NC! I always love when a restaurant has a good theme and man was their menu themed! Located in town near courthouses, it was the perfect lunchtime treat. I got the District Court Burger -- the patty was so juicy and dripping with each bite, and their special sauce was wonderful. I do however wish the meat was a bit more seasoned but overall great! I am definitely hoping to visit and try more off of the menu read more
Found this little place on a whim and I am happy I did! The menu is simple and the service is amazing. We ordered the fried brussel sprouts, wings and fish sandwich. Everything was pretty tasty! I'll definitely return again. read more

I have never heard of PB&J wings until i stopped into this place. I was very skeptical of the wings, but let me tell you they were amazing! The verdict coincidently enough is located right behind the old court house in downtown Graham. The staff is very friendly and have a variety of bourbons, whiskey, etc. One the main reasons I did not give this place 5 stars is simply because there is no draft beer! I was very surprised to find this out! I would definitely recommend you stopping in here passing regardless of if you are just passing through or live here. You've definitely got to try those PB&J wings! However, if you are looking for a good cold draft this isn't the place for you. Otherwise go check it out! read more
