Oooookkkkkk let's begin. A very rural area near Chapel Hill. While completing Amazon Flex I pulled over to grab water and decided to checkout Yesterdays Grill. Mom and pop shop for sure and we love those hidden gems. I ordered a double cheeseburger and a side of small tenders. Everything was big from the flavor to the portion size. While I only got 2 when I paid for a 3. The flavor of the burger and tenders were great. And yes the side of dipping sauce is also big and made from scratch While I wish I had my missing tender I'll be back if ever in the area. Gosh we love this place. Still cash only. Still the same number of seats. Still the same wait staff. Still have to order dessert with your main meal or they could be out of it by the time you're ready for dessert (ask me how I know). But we eat here so often (or at least my spouse does) that they know our drink order. My youngest is now well versed in eating dinner at one of their spinning counter chairs. It is his favorite place to sit and eat. We see community folks, church folks, and rec league sports folks in here. People are quick to eat because of the limited seating, but you'll catch them hanging out by someone else's table just catching up. The food is quality and very reasonably priced. The outdoor seating is picnic tables that you can sit at if you do the drive thru or walk up ordering. This place is such a comfort from start to finish. read more

Perfect place for an al fresco lunch. First time here for both of us. The dining area inside is small, so we ordered outside at the window and had our meal at one of the picnic tables. I had the bbq sandwich with slaw and my friend had a chicken salad sandwich. On the advice of the woman behind us in line we also requested an order of homemade chips with homemade ranch dressing. Everything on the menu was very reasonably priced and what we had was delicious. I have alerted my family and I know my friend is doing the same with her family. This used to be my go to spot for a long time. Then I stopped going. The service is always fast. The food was always good. However the food had gone down hill so, I stopped going. I decided to go back and try again. I got their homemade chicken tenders they were so tough my jaw hurt after trying to eat them. The business is cash only with an atm on site if you don't have cash on hand. It's a cute little country style restaurant. We had ordered 4 orders of chicken tenders and asked for ranch dressing to go with it. The ranch is made in house which is very yummy. However I was extremely disappointed to find that we were only given one 4 ounce container of ranch. The food comes out so fast I think they have it all precooked which leaves the chicken greasy and the burgers overcooked. read more

While out volunteering at our favorite dog rescue we stopped by to get some dinner. This place is certainly a local favorite, even on a week night it was absolutely packed. The wait wasn't actually that long for the amount of people in a relatively small place. The service was very good and reasonably paced for how busy they were, everyone was super nice! The food was great for the price point and plenty of food! The burger was good, the chips were great, and my girlfriend enjoyed the chicken tenders. Had lunch here with friends that live in the area. What a cool place- a little off the beaten path but worth the drive. We had a variety of items- the service is great and the staff is friendly. It's a family place and has great charm. Everything we had was delicious! The desserts are all made in house and quite amazing! I'd definitely go back. Cool little place right in the middle of nowhere. Hadn't been here in several years, and had basically forgotten abou it until Linda R's review reminded me. This is a small place, bright and clean, and has a drive thru window. The non-breakfast menu consist primarily of sandwiches, salads, and a few plates - like "NC Best" Chicken Strips, Hamburger Steak, and an NC BBQ Plate. Alice had the Grilled Pimento Cheese with Onion Rings. The Pimento Cheese was excellent, nice sharp cheese taste but letting the pimento flavor thru, really nice sandwich ($1.50 for each). The Onion Rings were good, just missed being very good, little thin on the actual onion The Hot Dog ($1.50) is very, very good - neon red weiner, solid chili, and a gooy bun. We also tried the BBQ Sandwich with slaw ($3.35) and it is surprising good - especially with a dash or two of Texas Pete -. they get their BBQ from Jimmy's Meat Market in Graham, not sure who actually does the cooking. FFs are awful, I'd suggest the Home Made Chips instead. Good, friendly service in a mostly enjpyable environment - the drivethru has a bell that rings to alert the staff, and it is very audible in the restaurant. They get a lot of drivethru business, gets annoying after a while. But, this place is a worth a stop if in the vicinity. No credit cards or checks. read more

Yesterday's grill is located in Snow Camp, which is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. But it is a beautiful drive to get there, and features some very bucolic scenes of the Triad area. The restaurant is small but has a beautiful wood interior and very cute decor. Popular with locals and visitors alike, you can expect a wait at lunchtime. The staff is friendly and hard working. The food was very good. I had the smoked brisket sandwich. The brisket had a delicious taste, and--be still, my heart-- I actually finally found a place that has smoked meat that tastes like... SMOKE! The brisket could have been a little more tender, though. The crinkle fries were perfect, and the potato salad was excellent. The sweet tea was outstanding--among the best I've had. One drawback was that the menus desperately need to be wiped down--they were grody with a film of grime. read more

Absolutely a gem in the country! It's in the middle of nowhere but thanks to my co-worker I got to partake in some good ol country cookin! He had the ribeye sandwich which he loves so much and it looked so good but it was too big for me to eat for a lunch meal. I chose the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese and I can tell that the chicken was nicely marinated because it had great flavor. I also had their homemade potato chips with ranch and they were really good! Nice and crispy! They have a lot of local patrons.
