I was going to a Yelp event, and wanted to try something new, so my daughter gave me this place for us to try. There is a restaurant side and a bar side. When we entered, we were greeted immediately. I think the decor was cool. I ordered the Pimento cheese dip for an appetizer because I absolutely love pimento cheese. I was a bit disappointed because I thought it would be warm. The pita chips were good, but the dip was just okay. I had called to see if they had any deals, and I was told that wings would be 50% off, but when I got there, I was told that was not a deal and the only deal was 10 wings and fries for $9.99. I can't lie that was still a great deal! At first, I didn't really taste the garlic on the wings, but after a while I did and the wings were good. It's been a number of months since visiting Stokeridge, for no particular reason. Like some other reviews, the food and service has been spotty but sadly, that's a sign of the times. Overall the vibe is good, especially if you're there with friends. We've never felt rushed as we enjoy a beverage before ordering. Tonight I got the fried egg burger with fries I ordered crispy, and they delivered. Husband got the cheesesteak with a baked potato and it was as ordered. We enjoyed our meal in the dining room with Kimberly our server who was so pleasant, despite being pulled all over the seating area. Came in with my family for a nice meal today and the food was good but we noticed that one of the kids that was working was kind of rude. We had a young girl as our waitress and she was great but the young tall boy there was not at all. He seemed nice at first but we heard him being rude to others and he even messed up our drinks. I get how this place is ranked lower because it may not be everyone's cup of tea. Service is "hit or miss". Most of the time, it seems like it's a solid hit and there are even a few servers I've met there that I'd rank exceptional. Occasionally, you get the newbie and it takes a few to get things right. Place feels like a bar with a restaurant. If you go for that kind of atmosphere, this is your place! For the most part, the food is pretty standard bar food with the standard unique spin added on the menu naming conventions. The place does seem to rock with live music. Got here a few minute after they opened on a Sunday and we were the only patrons there the entire length of our stay. It's inviting on the inside and probably more of a Sports Bar. Staff is very friendly but friendly only goes so far. Menu is pretty standard bar food but with a sense of humor which I appreciate and find interesting. Server presented up with our menus and took our drink orders while we looked over the menu. My wife ordered Unsweetened Tea with artificial sweeteners on the side. I ordered 1/2 and 1/2 Sweetened Tea with Lemon. The half and half was still too sweet and the server had to go back and get the lemon because he had forgotten it. My wife ordered a Loaded Potato Soup to start with along with a French Dip Sandwich. I ordered the Buckingham Reuben which is named after an adjacent county. While my wife went to the ladies room, out server came back because he had forgotten to get our orders for our sides. I went with the Tater Tots. When my wife came back, she made the comments about no sides when the server came back and asked for her side order. After he named a couple of possibility , she asked about fruit and he said they could do that. The Potato Soup came out first and it did look good and my wife commented that it was very good. Next came the French Dip and Fruit. No Aux Ju with the French Dip. Comment was the cook was new and did not realize that a French Dip came with that. It was explained that they had to add some water to the aux ju and heat and it would be a couple of minutes. As far the fruit, it came out as Fruit Cocktail and you know how sugary the syrup that that is packed in. My Reuben was very good. Nice marbling on Bread , great tasting meat and a good contrast. All the all the food was very good just the way it was served could use a lot of work. read more

A good place for bar food with outside seating. On the day we were there, we sat outside and the wait staff didn't appear to notice us until other customers told them about us. Our first time trying this tavern. There was a dining area and the bar section. A local artist was playing from 6pm- past 10pm. The food was fine but the service was outstanding. When we arrived the place wasn't very busy. We ordered appetizers and our food. We received our appetizers but then waited over 45 mins for our meals. We actually had to track down our waitress and ask for them and they came out about 5 minutes later. I asked the waitress to cancel my order because I was full from the appetizers and the time it had taken was way too long, but she brought it anyway . No action was taken to try and rectify the situation other than bringing the food much later.
