Hands down, El Camino Real is THE best Mexican restaurant in the triad - I said what I said! Off the beaten path, you'll find this spot in a trip mall off market street. Their space is small but worth the wait if they're busy. Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful if you have questions about the menu. The food is out of this world. You're getting authentic Mexican cuisine with every bite and I love that they give you two kinds of hot sauces with your meal in addition to your standard chips and salsa. The quality of meat and cook on each dish is perfect and one complaint I always have about Mexican restraints is they never put enough queso on the food that requires it. Well, not Camino real. It's the perfect amount of cheese needed for the dish and I can definitely appreciate that. This will forever be my go to spot for Mexican food!!

Went here for lunch with friends, they are always so quick!! The food is consistently good and they always have good drink specials!

Great meal. Hard to find local place but when you see a small Mexican restaurant next to the Hispanic market and a store that sells Hispanic phone cards you know you are in the right place. Food is always on point here. I got the chilies Rellanos and my girlfriend got the enchiladas Mexicanos. Both were hot and flavorful! My margarita was one of the best I've had in a long time. I miss there Barilla but I'll just suffer through the rest of the delicious choices!

Still one of the main options for Mexican food with good, real recipes. A small location, so you kind of have to know the best times to get there as it could get packed fairly quick, especially for dinners. Food is always full of flavor. I can't recall a time where a dish needed a bit more of any specific ingredient. Yea it has some of the Tex-Mex usuals but the other dishes, it feels like their home recipes - which is one of the reasons we love to dine there. Menu has quite a lot to choose from and you're destined to find something you like or maybe something new - this time their ribs. Very fall off the bone and soaked in sauce, perfect with their rice. Their service is pretty attentive for the most part and are always happy to bring you anything you need. Would still recommend.

This place is always a favorite go to spot for delicious consistent Mexican food in the triad. Inside is small but don't be fooled, the food is fantastic and the menu is vast. They have a wonderful lunch menu as well and it doesn't break the bank! My new favorite is the lunch taco salad fajitas. The salad has an unbelievable amount of fajita meat and it's under 10.00. My recent visit I had my favorite cheese enchiladas. I am a purist and they don't disappoint. I do love the street tacos as well. Looking through the yelp photos makes me want to go back and try something new. If you have not tried this place and you love Mexican food like I do, you should put them on your list. You will thank me later!

Seated right away. Service very good. Food came out quickly. Tacos I ordered were amazing. Ambiance was just right. Music played in the background not too loud. Overall a great experience. They offer an extensive menu with plenty of traditional Mexican dishes. A must if ever in Greensboro.

This is one rare gem that isn't the biggest restaurant, but it makes up for that in quality, price, and service. This was our first time there and when you walk in, this just feels like it's authentic Mexican everything. The waitstaff took their time to explain any questions you may have, the prices are family friendly, and there is soft music in the background not overpowering your conversation at the table. We had a wide variety of everything. My dad had 3 different flavored tacos from beef to chorizo (don't remember his theif pick sorry). My mom had chimichanga and burrito. And I had 3 Mexican style tortillas with mole' sauce. All 3 of our plates were equally top notch! Absolutely delicious. When we got inside there was only 3 tables, including us, that were occupied. Working 20 minutes there weren't enough tables from the amount of people coming in. However, the staff does a great job turning over tables as fast as they can in a professional manner. A+ to this establishment.

Chips and salsa. You have to ask for the spicy salsas in the bottles.

The service was excellent. And I was really impressed with the food. I had a combination, chicken burrito, chicken, quesadilla, and a Chalupa. It was all delicious, but their idea of a Chalupa is what I think of as a tostada. A crispy corn flat tortilla. My understanding is that Chalupa's are made of corn flour, but they're soft not crunchy. Anyway, everything was really tasty, including the standard issue salsa. It's probably the best standard issue salsa I've had in Greensboro. And the spicy salsas (red and green...you have to ask for them) are very good also. I was very pleased. It was just so cold in there. Bring a sweater.

How has it taken me so very long to come here! We came in on a Sunday evening with low to no expectations and were blown away. We parked in back (thanks Waze) and were seated right away. The place is cute: it has a very 'we are a Mexican place' vibe. Our server was amazing! My dad got a huge burrito with steak chicken and shrimp, my partner got a vegetarian combo and I had mole cheese enchiladas and they were incredible: smoky mole that tasted like it was developed over hours, crisp veggies, seasoned to perfection rice and beans. Definitely an add to my rotation!

Visited this local spot and enjoyed some quick eats on a lunch break. The restaurant is on the smaller side with limited seating, because it's SO good. We ended up seated right in front of the door, so not ideal but we were in there. The Pastor Sope was my favorite... marinated pork and pineapple on top of a corn meal fried patty with toppings, yum! The Quesoburrias dipped in sauce were the other favorite!

True to its namesake, there are brightly colored folk art designs throughout the restaurant in line with their Mexican heritage. The trees that make it look overgrown from the outside actually serve to allow sunlight while masking the surrounding city, facilitating the transformation that makes you feel like you're in Mexico City. We came at an off-peak time in the afternoon and it was nearly empty. We were seated immediately and the service was prompt and attentive. I was pleased to see some unique menu offerings like Birra Ramen and Sopes that deviate from the standard American-friendly fare in most places. Drinks were good - we had a regular house margarita, a triple berry margarita, and a jalapeño cucumber margarita. All were tasty and I would order again. I tried to order a Mezcalita, since it's not often I see a Mezcal option, but they were out of that particular liquor. We tried to get street corn as an appetizer, which they were also out of. We got cheese and salsa with chips instead. The chips were hot and fresh, the salsa generous with the cilantro, and the cheese bold and warm. For entrees we had the Al Pastor Quesadilla and the Birra Ramen. The quesadilla was good, though the beans on the side were pretty bland. The ramen was a unique and very tasty option, and I was not able to finish such a generous portion. I think I'd leave the cheese out next time since it made some weird textures, but the flavor was great overall. Overall, there are some small things to improve (having menu items in stock, bland beans) and the prices were a bit high, but we had a great experience overall. I'm not often in the area, but I'll certainly eat here again if I am!

The name Bandito Bodega is extremely accurate, as the store itself is a small and unassuming looking place, with a charmingly decorated interior and some indoor and outdoor seating. It was very convenient to order at the cash register as soon as you walk in, and the staff was very patient and efficient. I adored the unpretentiousness and individuality of the place. It did not need any flashiness or grandeur- just some good food and good vibes. Now the food: WOW I was blown away by the pork belly garlic fried rice. The pork belly was so incredibly fatty and perfectly crispy, the shrimp add-on was juicy and well seasoned, and the fried egg over a bed of DELICIOUS steamy garlicky fried rice was absolutely perfection. And they do NOT skimp on the portions. This heaping bowl was just $15, and it was generously topped with the pork belly. This will easily be a place I plan to frequent often, for the convenience, food, and charm.

She took care to place napkins, chopsticks, and a fork in the bag and to hand it to me directly. Overall, it was a great experience in service. The ambiance is casual and relaxed, typical of any fast-casual restaurant. At my earliest opportunity, I opened the box, which was stuffed full of pork belly, garlic noodles, broccoli, and scallions. The noodles had just the right amount of sauce, and the pork belly was perfectly cooked. The portion was so large that I ate some for lunch and finished the rest for dinner, and didn't need anything else either time. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, and I look forward to returning.

It's a food truck located in Petra's parking lot and open hella late, which is a WIN! I ordered 4 Quesa birria tacos, Birria ramen and something that looked like a mini quesadilla, I'm unsure of the name. The ramen was very flavorful although it felt like something was missing compared to Cali but overall very delicious! The only thing I didn't appreciate was the price. The cup was tiny and priced at $11. There wasn't enough room for additional consommé (juice) in the cup. I honestly think the cup could be a little larger for $11 or add more meat. My friend says the Quesa Birrias ($17) were good but they still prefer La Costenita's. Personally I don't like La Costenita's, because the meat and taco shells are extremely dry. But that's why we're all entitled to our opinions and preferences. :) The item that looked like a quesadilla was really tasty and only $7! It reminded me of a taco sandwich lol. The lady that took my order could of been a bit friendlier but I understand most people in NC aren't friendly at all. She insisted I add cheese after repeatedly explaining I do not like cheese and advised to dip my taco sandwich in the ramen but there wasn't enough juice in my ramen cup to even attempt that. Overall the meal was delicious, I've tried many places and this is at the top of my list. I would return when I'm craving something authentic but the pricing needs to be adjusted for what you get. Give it a try and tell me what you think!
