If you aren't going to Caviste... then where are you going? I wish they had 6 stars because I would give Caviste 6 stars. It depends on what we have going on but we go to Caviste at least monthly. I've never had a bad glass of wine here... I've maybe had some wine that I like better than others but they certainly do a phenomenal job of curating what they serve. The last time I was in, I appreciated that they actually made sure the bottle I purchased wasn't turned, before they served it to me. Any establishment that holds themselves to a higher standard than maybe even what you can identify, is rare. My ONLY small piece of feedback is that I know a lot of folks wish they stayed open a little later on the weekend. Nonetheless, happy to have this gem and its team in Winston.

Wine shop meets bakery - what a lovely combo! We recently got the chance to try Caviste (wine bar inside of Bobby Boy) and it will absolutely be going into the rotation of places to visit. The wine selection was one of the best I've seen in the triad - they've got so many options from various regions, there is bound to be something for everyone! In addition to their great wine selection they have a small menu of snacks with a slight European flare. We got the meat charcuterie, bread service with salted butter, and Burrata. The Burrata was the table favorite because it was a unique take on your traditional Burrata - it was topped with delicious olive oil, anchovies, and various herbs - YUM! Already planning our next trip back!

Here is your sign to go to Caviste tonight for tapas and wine (or water in a wine glass). This little gem is inside Bobby boy and slinging some delicious snacks. I'm Never not in the mood to share of bunch of apps with the best humans. Pro tip : ask for your water in a wine glass so you can feel included at the wine bar Sourdough Meat plate Burrata Raw oysters

Just to start this review, I want to make it known that Caviste has the best fresh oysters I've ever had in my life, hands down. They were big, chilled perfectly, and came with the perfect accompaniments. Okay now on to the rest of the review LOL. We decided to pop into this add on to Bobby boy bake shop for drinks and a small bite before having dinner at a Yelp event. We got so much more than we bargained for. There is a bar where we ordered our wine and also scoped the menu/placed our order for small bites. We got the oysters as mentioned above, meat charcuterie, bread service, and the burrata. Every single bite was delicious. It's one is those surprising meals where you'll think about it until you come back. The bread was from Bobby boy bake shop and was so soft and delicious. The burrata was also unique in that it was chopped up in a bowl and had anchovies! Never thought I'd be excited about anchovies but here we are. Not to mention the wine was delicious. If there's ever a spot you need to make a quick stop before dinner or a place to unwind after work, I highly suggest Caviste for those purposes!

This is our happy place. Favorite place to eat and drink wine. Went to the Kermit Lynch wine dinner this evening with Nick Demos guiding us through the wines and everything was perfect. All of the food made by Bobby Boy Bakeshop was amazing, perfect spring menu, and the wine pairings were spot on. If you haven't been to one of the wine dinners yet, you should definitely get your name on the list for the next one, they are always amazing.

Snap pea slaw, I think that's what it is called.

The service was great. I found a seat easily at the bar. There are casual tables outside or nice tables inside by large windows. I've been twice. It's a great place to meet a first date. I asked for a recommendation and loved it. Snap pea slaw was delicious. Beautiful wine selection.

This place has been in my list to check out for literally ages! I love the concept of small plates paired with wine! What's not to love! We went in a Tuesday night and the place was packed inside and outside. We luckily found a spot at the bar and they happened to be doing a wine tasting we got to try 4 wines that were pretty good and all available to buy. After the tasting I got a glass of brut as did my friend and the other friend had the Sauvignon blanc. All excellent . We ordered a bunch of small plates. The sourdough bread with salted butter my personal carb loving favorite! Made by Bobby Boys bake shop in the same building. The oysters were so good. They have different ones all the time apparently. Served with lemon and mignonette these are well worth the $2.50 each! The meat plate had some unusual meats ... I'm not a big meat eater so I just had the salami which was great. The mustard I have to say was amazing! Wow up my nose good! The olives my friends loved . The Burrata was good served again with bread . Nice and light with olive oil and tomatoes. Great to share. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. Great wine bar feel. Service was good some servers better than others. They have a nice patio out back too. Parking lot not always big enough but you can find parking on the street. Loved this place... wish it was open later though 7pm seems early to close for a wine bar! They host many tastings and do wine dinners too. Keep up with their instagram page for deets. Glad ti finally check it off my list !

I had looked at the instagram page before arriving and saw a drink that I wanted to try. I couldn't remember the name when I got there and asked for the drink menu. I was given a look that made me feel like I was wrong for asking for it. One of the patrons was nice enough to show me a basket with menus in it. I ordered the drink and went to find a seat with my friends. Even though it was fairly crowded, there was ample seating. One of my friends ordered the $5 old fashioned and ended up ordering several more. Definitely a great deal for the price and alcohol ratio. I chose the hoopla and then a sidecar. Both were well executed. I wanted to try some of the food, but unfortunately we had eaten before arriving. Several people we spoke to said the jerk wings were a must try so I'll definitely come back for those! Outside of the first interaction with the bartender, the other one was very pleasant and continued to serve us with no issues.

The day I came in was my very first visit and it was pretty quiet and not busy at all. So if you need a quiet place to chill try to arrive around 5:30 or thereabouts. This place serves very unique beverages and appetizers. I'm told some of the wines are organic as well. It is perfect for a person who wants just a beverage and small plate food. Perfect to start out your adventure for the evening or if you need just a late night snack. They stay open till 10pm but check first as I may not be correct on that. I really like that its open later after most restaurants stop serving food around 9pm. Its kinda dark in there illuminated in low overhead lights and candles on the tables. So perfect for an intimate get together. I will return again to try some different beverages, they have nonalcoholic creative drinks as well as unique beer and wine choices. I would also like to try some more of those small plate appetizers. It all looked good! Friendly service here so a comfortable place to settle in for a bit.

We sampled a little bit of everything: the hot vanilla lattes, the Cubano, the cortado, and an almond croissant that tasted like it floated straight down from pastry heaven. The barista was equally lovely, adding to the charm of the whole experience. And the ambiance... wow. Clean, sleek, filled with natural light, and boasting an immaculate interior that feels both modern and inviting. To top it all off, they also offer a wonderful selection of wine and beer, perfect for unwinding or elevating your evening. This place doesn't just serve coffee; it sets the standard. It was excellent. I ordered the usual coffee shop, staple: and oat milk iced mocha latte. I asked for about half of the usual mocha they put in it, but I don't think that it was enough because I could barely taste the chocolate. When I go back, I will get the full serving of chocolate. Other than that, the coffee was delicious and satisfying. My friend got a cappuccino that he said was excellent as well. The place had the most beautiful aroma of freshly roasted coffee. Neither of us got anything to eat, but they did have a couple of options. I'm pretty sure one of them was a croissant of some sort and we will have to try that when we go back.

When we were seated the only menu they gave us was of the V-day limited menu. It also said "$140" for two people. This was 2 entrees (super small), 2 entrees and 2 desserts the size of a Little Debbie cupcake. The steak would have been great had it not been smothered with a huge dose of super salty brown gravy. It was so hard to eat. My husband got the chicken breast. It was not bad. A little on the dry side and it alot of seasoning. Go figure. The server was great. Very friendly. The acoustics are bad in there so the saxophone player on top of the music was pretty loud but he did a great job. Then the bill comes. An automatic 22% gratuity was added to the bill. Not cool. I can understand charging 22% for a large party but not for 2 people. Not for a limited menu that only included 3 entree choices, 2 very small dessert choices, and 3 small appetizer choices. The glass of wine I had was $15. We were not blown away by the food. It's a shame because in our opinion if we are going to spend over $200 for a dinner, I would hope for much more than what was served. We felt taken advantage of. I don't know what this place is like on a regular basis but we won't be back to find out.
