Cute wine bar in downtown Winston. There were a variety of different wines to choose from and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance is very laid back and intimate so it would be great for a date night but it was still great for an evening out with friends. I will definitely visit again in the future.
This is a great local downtown place to relax, enjoy some good conversation and catch up with friends or just take time for yourself to unwind a bit. The ambiance here is low lighting with soft chill background music. It's not a particularly big place and you won't find large bustling crowds here so if you need to take a break from that sort of scene this is a great place for that. Overall selection is not massive, you won't find a 30 page book of wines or anything here but what they do have is high quality and good selection at reasonable prices. They also tend to carry organic wines which is nice. In addition they usually have a small selection of alternatives like a black lager on draft and a cider they had available. They also have a rose on tap which I would recommend. Also while they don't have a full food menu they have a good selection of prepared snacks such as olives, pickled vegetables and probably my favorite, a high quality serving of sourdough bread with what I believe was a goat cheese, olive oil and salt/pepper mixture bread dip which was really good and pairs great with most everything on the menu. Service is great too, the staff always seem friendly and knowledgeable. The smaller location means you generally won't need to wait much if at all for service and the staff is attentive to when people might need topping off. Overall would highly recommend.
Lazy Sunday looking for something open to have a drink and a quick bite saw people walking in here so we stopped in. The inside is very cozy candle lighting intimate tables. They had a wine and food pairing while we were there. So we order the food with the wine pairing. The wine was brought out first my husbands was supposed to be a red, and they brought to whites. They switched it immediately when we brought it to their attention. The food then came and it was mouth watering delicious. I got their lasagna, the picture and in person looked like it was going to be very dry but it was the opposite. Well prepared just enough cheese with each layer and the mushrooms on top cooked to perfection. My husband he got their pork loin and when I say he wouldn't stop raving about the taste. He made me try it just so I would agree, which I did. I don't know how often they do kitchen pairings but we will definitely be back when they do it again. The wines did pair nicely but the food by far was the star.
Our first visit to Little Pep on Trade Street. This is a cool little wine bar in the Arts District of Winston Salem. We had a late lunch, so the light bites were perfect. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. We had the Bobbie Boy Bakery bread and the Cured Meats.
They're always so accommodating when we come in for book club. They also have the best snacks around town. This dip and bread was to absolutely die for. We came in with a small group to discuss for book club and they were able to find us a spot that worked although they were fairly busy. I love that they offer table service. I could also live off of their olives which were complimentary this visit and I don't remember that from our previous visit. Their menu changes seasonally to make sure they're using the freshest ingredients.
What a wonderful little gem of a place. The folks pouring the drinks are always so accommodating and patient. Instead of a loud, rowdy bar like vibe it instead has folks gathering .. from families to friends catching up , and I truly appreciate that kind of vibe the older I get. Very small seating - so maybe very large groups it might not be the best as it's more intimate of a setting .. but on quieter days it's perfect. We've been on Thursday evenings, once it was a $5 wine tasting from wine in one area and the other event was an oyster and cider event. What a fun, atmosphere to foster a thriving community. I am excited to come back here to see what other events they'll have. Also they have orange wine - which was delightful!
Love this little social wine stop. The owners are fabulous!! Wine selections are unique and delicious The little snack options on point. Decor and ambiance- perfect. Perfect selection to make a gift for someone!!

Little Pep is a small gem located in the Arts District right in downtown Winston Salem. Specializing in wine and small plates, they're the perfect place to pop-in for a drink and snack when browsing along Trade Street. The kalimotxo is our tried and true favorite drink, and we've had several great wines too! Their menu seems to change seasonally, so there are always new things to try. They even have a small shopping area with wine by the bottle and varied dried goods and snacks. We always have quick, friendly service, too!
New favorite watering hole! I love supporting small and local, and I also love wine, so naturally this is a go-to for me. I am so happy Little Pep opened up- it's the perfect blend of cozy/chic/trendy and their offerings are diverse and high quality. Even better they are open on Wednesdays now. A bit on the pricier end but worth it for a great experience all around. I had their watermelon wine spritzer most recently and it was delicious. Their sparkling wines are always a hit too.
Finally a cute little wine bar for our downtown ! I adore this place already, great little eclectic menu, small plates, friendly staff, knowledgeable at that. Great wine glasses and some truly interesting wines. They have definitely done some research on the natural wines selection. Inside was super cute with great seating and a nice bar area. Also couple of tables outside. They also have some retail foods and wine you can buy. I love the clean fresh decor. We wanted to try something different so we asked our server and she suggested their Rosè, and it was definitely different but in a good way! Clean, good smells, great color and easy drinking. We also tried their bread service, which comes from Bobby boys, always good! Hearty bread and some good butter and some pickled veggies. Went down well with the wine. It was great place for our pre dinner drinks. I loved seeing it busy already too... I hope Winston supports this new business well and I plan on coming back frequently. Gotta support women owned businesses! Nice job guys with your vision, it has truly been captured well.

The owner came by our table and spoke to us about some of the artwork that was done by them. Very nice people running this place!
I've been here multiple times and each time is just another magical experience. On this particular occasion we had two different options off their sweets menu. The toast was glazed with honey, had a dollop of butter and a sesame seed crust that was perfectly toasted. The cider apple with ice cream not only looked delicious but also tasted it! Each bite was the perfection!

The staff is exceptionally warm and attentive, and the space itself is beautifully designed. The wine is wonderful, but the food is truly the star of the show. Now, I never imagined carrot tacos could be this exceptional--but they absolutely are. I'm not vegetarian, and I was genuinely blown away by how flavorful and satisfying they were. And the house-made pickles? I'm still dreaming about them. What makes the experience even better is the kindness of the staff. They remember you, make you feel genuinely welcome, and add such a personal touch to the entire visit. A beautiful atmosphere, outstanding food, wonderful wine, and hospitality that makes you want to return. Absolutely worth discovering. read more
An excellent wine bar in the downtown Winston Salem area. Was pleased to see they had a few wine specials depending on the day. I was able to try a unique orange wine that they were able to chill for me on site. They also had small plates available for purchase. Very intimate place and perfect for a date night. read more
This is a small narrow space but its lengthy. It has a long bar and small tables if you want more privacy w your friends. The day I came in was my very first visit and it was pretty quiet and not busy at all. So if you need a quiet place to chill try to arrive around 5:30 or thereabouts. This place serves very unique beverages and appetizers. I'm told some of the wines are organic as well. It is perfect for a person who wants just a beverage and small plate food. Perfect to start out your adventure for the evening or if you need just a late night snack. They stay open till 10pm but check first as I may not be correct on that. I really like that its open later after most restaurants stop serving food around 9pm. Its kinda dark in there illuminated in low overhead lights and candles on the tables. So perfect for an intimate get together. I will return again to try some different beverages, they have nonalcoholic creative drinks as well as unique beer and wine choices. I would also like to try some more of those small plate appetizers. It all looked good! Friendly service here so a comfortable place to settle in for a bit. read more
