Over two years later and I'll admit I really forgot about here. I stopped in on a whim-it's still the same vibe and ambiance as it was in the past and made me wish I'd visited sooner! I got a Vesper which ended up being $20-not a great price point but considering the drink, I would say it's about average at that price point. Dram & Draught is absolutely our favorite cocktail bar in Greensboro! The space is small but inviting and in the summer it's so fun with their indoor/outdoor concept when they open the garage doors. The staff is also very attentive. As soon as we walk in the door we get menus and waters. My favorite part of this spot is that they have a rotating menu. They release new cocktails twice a year and they are always super creative (and created by local Dram & Draught bartenders) and delicious! I also love that they have the menu split out into different sections such as classics, seasonal, mocktails, and THC options. You'll also be hard pressed to find a liquor they don't carry. I've been to Dram & Draught in Greensboro a few times and overall I like it but there's definitely room for improvement. Let's start with the good- The drinks are delicious. They have a wide variety of speciality cocktails and I've enjoyed every one I've had. One of my favorites is the mystery machine. They can also make mocktails which is nice! The outside patio is a great space in the summer. There is a small parking lot so parking isn't too tricky usually. They're also open until 2am which is nice because some bars close earlier. Now the not so good - I've been here about 5 or 6 times total and every time, the service has been EXTREMELY slow. I'm pretty lenient about slow service because I understand how busy and understaffed restaurants/bars can be but it can be really frustrating here. Tonight, I went with some of my friends for their Galentine's drink specials so I ordered an espresso martini flight. My friends arrived a few minutes after me so they placed their orders later but it took about 30-40 minutes for my friends to get their drinks. At one point, our waiter came back and asked if we needed anything but when my friend started to order a drink, our waiter said that they were behind and couldn't take orders right now. I've actually never heard of this happening at a bar before so I was a little shocked, especially because my friend hadn't gotten to order a cocktail yet but we had almost finished ours. Since the Galentine's drink specials had been advertised on their social media, I was a little surprised they wouldn't have more than 1 bartender. I also noticed an admin fee on my bill tonight. It was a small percentage but it's still frustrating to get charged random fees without knowing what they are for. I would definitely prefer servers to explain or point out charges like that on a bill so that customers are aware. I genuinely want this bar to stay around because I love the vibe and the variety of cocktails but I do hope they can address the service issue. I've been a few times over the last 1-2 years and the service has continuously been an issue. Other than that, it's a cool place to get a specialty cocktail. read more

This is the only place I can go to for drinks that is consistent with their quality. It doesn't matter if you come to the location in Greensboro or the one in Durham. You never leave disappointed. The menu has seasonal options along with some of their standard drinks. It's perfect for a date and friends outing. They don't serve food so make sure you eat before you come or plan to got out for a bite afterwards. The servers are always friendly and knowledgeable about the items on their menu. Perfect spot for a nightcap! I came here on Friday around 930pm with a friend visiting in town. We wanted a fancy cocktail in an upscale lounge setting and this spot delivered. There's indoor and outdoor seating, but we sat at the bar. Lots of creative craft offerings; I knew I wanted something prosecco based and ended up going with the Broken Clay Pot (grapefruit vodka, aperol, cinnamon, prosecco, lemon twist) and my friend ordered the bandit (scotch, grapefruit, rosemary, etc). Started off as a Yelp Elite attendee (for Coffee and danishes-food truck). HOWEVER, this turned into a very unexpected event. I have recently had a desire to experiment with my cocktail palate (tequila and vodka) and today was a great opportunity since the coffee food truck was outside of Dram & Draught. Thankfully a fellow Elite was in attendance and was open to sharing knowledge with me me and "holding my hand" as I had my first taste (Thank you, LeKeshia D!). I am actually doing this review under the influence, lol. Just kidding (maybe...lol). Aaron, thank you so much for being the most wonderful bartender. I had an opportunity to have my first experience with bourbon and brandy . Aaron gave me a The Gold Rush which he stated would be perfect for me as a newbie. Spot on. He was correct. This cocktail consisted of honey, lemon, and bourbon (the selected bourbon was Old Forester). This cocktail was absolutely AMAZING. Aaron, you set the bar (literally), my friend. Thank you for being patient and receptive to all of my inquiries. The next cocktail was a Brandy Alexander. Think I might need an Uber after this one. I wouldn't consider myself a light weight by any means , but woooweeeee, AARON, you TRULY put your magical hands on every libation. Cheers to the gentleman who bought a round for the bar! I'll be here for an additional hour...lol. For this round, I tried the Sauce Boss. I wasn't ready. I think I will still with The Gold Rush for now...lol. The atmosphere here is super chill. If you've ever had a concern about feeling safe at a bar solo, THIS would be the place go! Nice place to enjoy your drink of choice and not be harassed. This is still my favorite spot in the city for cocktails. If bourbon is your preference, this is the place for you. Crafting is their thing, and there is a board where it lists the bartenders and the drink they specialize in. Aaron was ours, and he surprised me with an amazing Manhattan. The atmosphere and customer service are still amazing. The bartenders answered all of our questions, gave recommendations, and swapped out ingredients to accommodate myself and friend. It's a bit pricey, but I feel it's well worth it. Also, there isn't any food, and I don't think food trucks stop by. I did not ask if it was ok if I brought my own food, so I don't know if that's an option. They do sell peanuts and pretzels if you need that salt. read more

So this place is a drinks only place. The very first time I went, I went to a location in Greensboro and the drinks were good. The Charlotte location had the exact same drink menu as them. The location is right in south end and as you know south end does not have its own location. You would have to either do garage parking or street parking. The staff is nice. It's a nice bar with lots of bottles of liquor. They do have outside seating. They are informative and can give good drinks recommendation. The ambiance is chill. If you wanted to pre game or wanted a quiet night cap, this would be the place to go. It kinda reminds me of a speakeasy on a non busy day. Aaron... the magical unicorn mixologist alchemist who spontaneously Created a drink for me when I couldn't decide what delicious cocktail to sample this evening. Now you need to come in and ask for the "Sculpturist" which he made especially in honor of my visiting daughter... a sculpture MFA student at a prominent art school. Then, it was followed up by a wonderful mildly awakening concoction -- the classic espresso martini -- done up with more delicate nuance than any other similar libation I've had to date. Dram and Draught is definitely my absolute favorite place to grab a cocktail in Greensboro. I always appreciate the craftsmanship and attention to detail in each concoction, and the layers and complexities of flavors always amaze. Not only that, they regularly refresh their menu to make use of seasonal ingredients and to ensure there is always something new to expand your drinking palette. They have an excellent outdoor area here, with the only complaint being its location at the intersection of Eugene street and Gate City Blvd, a loud intersection that at certain times can make it really hard to hear one another, or where some jerk comes roaring by in a loud motorcycle or Fartcan muffler on their probably not great car. A small price to pay for a unique setting crafted out of an old gas station, and a safe place to drink pandemic wise. Staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, service is prompt though expect each drink order to take some time, as a lot goes into preparing your drink.
