What really speaks to her talent is that my sister located in NY works in the luxury designer apparel industry, where part of her job is evaluating and working with some of the best seamstresses around the world. She's incredibly selective and has exceptionally high standards. After seeing Gamila's work firsthand on a vintage garment I wore to the Versace runway show in 2022 my sister immediately recognized that my garment was customized and asked me who did my garment and complimented her skill and craftsmanship. That says everything. Gamila has an incredible eye for fit, construction, and detail. Whether it's a simple alteration or a custom piece, she treats every garment with the same level of care and precision. Her work looks seamless--as if it came that way from the original designer. I was only partially happy with the alteration job I received. When I came back to try on, they were much better but still not great, as shown in the image. When I went to check out, I noticed a splotch on the shoulder of the dress on the sleeve. VERY small. When I asked her about it, she said it wasn't there before (which tells me that it happened in the shop, which it did). However she did not offer to dry clean it or try to get the stain out. Reasonably priced. I would only come back if I needed a simpler alteration, but not for another bridesmaid's dress. *update* due to my interaction with Alice, who reached out to see how she could make my experience better, I am updating my review from a 3-star to a 4-star. My husband brought in his uniform, patches, and printed out the specific instructions for them to use. I go to pick his uniforms up a few days later and my husband tells me that it's been done wrong. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at.

I've been coming to this dry cleaner since 2019 and never had an issue until this recent…read moreexperience. Last week, I dropped off two sport coats, one khaki and one dark gray. After picking them up, I was getting ready to wear the khaki coat on Saturday and noticed it still smelled like body odor. I also noticed two stains--one on the upper right chest and another on the lower left chest--so I wore the dark gray coat instead. The next morning, I brought the khaki coat back and explained the problem to the employee working there (guy with beard). I asked him to smell it, but he said it smelled fine. When I pointed out the two stains, he started arguing with me about why I didn't disclose the stains when I originally dropped the coat off. I have a 3-year-old son and, like most people, I don't carefully inspect every piece of clothing before taking it to the dry cleaner. I'm bringing it there to be professionally cleaned, so I would expect stains to be noticed and properly treated. I asked him to clean it again, and his response was, "OK, I'm gonna let this one time." That really bothered me because I've been a customer since 2019 and had never brought anything back or complained before. I picked up the coat again on Friday and wore it to an event on Saturday. During the event, I kept smelling something like dirty feet. Eventually, I realized the smell was coming directly from the same two stained areas on the coat. I tried wiping them off, but the odor would not go away. My wife even sprayed scented hand sanitizer on the coat just to make the smell more bearable. I'm very disappointed, not only because the coat still had stains and a terrible odor after being cleaned twice, but also because of how my concern was handled. A longtime customer should not be argued with or made to feel like they are asking for a favor when bringing back an item that was not cleaned properly. Unfortunately, I will not be returning if this is how customer concerns are handled.
