I brought my MOG dress that was off the rack for some fine tuning. Lana was VERY honest about what had to be done to make it look good and how much that would cost. She even suggested I maybe try buying a smaller size. There were other factors involved so I stuck with having the alternations done. It was beautiful and fit me like a glove. I'm overweight and very rarely feel good in formal wear but she was able to bring out my curves and make it fit like it was made for me instead of looking like a potato sack. It was worth it...and I'd do it again. I will always take my alterations there. I know its expensive to do so but I know HOW MUCH WORK is involved and they deserve to be paid for their talents and hard work. THANKS LANA! So I took in a couple of my club kuttes to have patches put on. They needed to be VERY specific. I was worried the pockets were going to be partially sown shut because of the number of patches. Not not only were the patches placed perfectly, but all my pockets were usable. Not to mention the ladies that work at the shop are amazingly friendly. I've gotten several dresses altered here. They did fantastic, quick work of requests that were not easy due to unusual dress shape or...unusual me shape. They were also extremely honest with me about the limitations of alterations--I was hoping to remove the zipper and replace with corset backing on my wedding dress to increase the size, but they warned me that the shaping of the front would not work well with this change. I have another event coming up, and once I have a dress for it, I know who I want to fix it up for me. read more

I just had the worst customer service experience of my life at this shop. I had brought in a robe to be taken in; I provided another robe as a sample and asked it to be sized the same. When I got it back it had been taken in, but not hemmed--but the kicker is, they'd sewn up the pockets. When I brought it back in I was told it was my fault the pockets had been sewn up, because I hadn't specifically told them not to. With regard to not sizing the length I was told, "What did you think, you could give us $25 and we'd build you a whole new robe?" Unbelievable. I will never come here again. read more

I returned to get 4 dresses altered and I am very happy with the finished product. Upon pick-up, I tried on the dresses and noticed 2 of them did not fit quite right. The tailor was not there that day, but her niece was extremely gracious and helpful in determining the issues and identifying where changes needed to be made. She advised me that the tailor would fix the 2 dresses and I could pick them up in a few weeks. I just returned and tried on my dresses and they fit great. Lana was AMAZING! I ordered a suit for my Brother's wedding, but the pants were too small not once but twice over. Lana was able to take the "best fitting" pants of the two and took out the pants in the seat, took in the waist, and used fabric (from the 1st pair of pants that were way too small) to widen the crotch so well that the design looked like it was meant to be that way. It was unnoticeable unless pointed out. On top of that she did a rush job in two days for a minimal rush fee! She did an exceptional job and was truly a life saver! I will definitely be back for any tailoring needs and would highly recommend her. read more

They did a good job with my husband's hem on his slacks but they charged an extra $7 to press them. It seems like that should've been included in the price but maybe I'm wrong since I'm not familiar with the "protocol" for alterations. Great location being just a few minutes away from the Galleria Mall (services/prices definitely beat tailors' that are affiliated with Nordstrom and Macy's). Through every step of the process, the business owner (Lana) was professional and friendly. Great customer service and extreme flexibility - I was running late to pick up my stuff and Lana kept the business open until I show up. It only cost me one phone call asking her for a personal favor. Fantastic work quality. I had a Hugo Boss suit tailored (both blazer and pants), a few pairs of high-end designer casual pants, and high-end denims. Every single time, I can't even tell a difference between factory seams and the tailor's (lol, trust me I looked). Just picked up my bridesmaid dress. Sigh of relief. Much better. Had to take half an inch out and hem the front. They did a great job and they are very friendly. The only thing is that it was hard to find. It just says "TAILOR" in big letters in the front, you have to drive by closer to their window to see the name of the shop. I hear they do next day service if needed but I allowed 5 working days for alternation. I was so disappointed in this place. I went in to get a dress hemmed for a wedding. When I first walked in I told the lady it was my first time coming here & I had never been here before. The lady immediately put me up on the stand and measured out my hem, I asked for one inch taken off the bottom. She chalked it up then went up to the cash register and told me it would be $85 to take 1inch off the bottom of my dress. I was shocked at the price, I told her I'm sorry I don't want to pay that much I just won't do it she then proceeded to tell me "I wasted her time and to just leave". She was extremely rude to me and just kept saying how much I wasted her time and it was so rude of me to do that. Lana is very honest and once told me that she wasn't comfortable Turning a pair of flared jeans into skinny jeans because of the seam on the side. How it will disappear and make the jeans look funny. She asked twice the price for repairing a pair of jeans which irked my husband, but Tony was visiting & asked her to charge his original rate.
