I have been coming here for years now and figured it's time I finally leave a review. I grew up in the area and would come here often to get suits and other things tailored I've since moved away, but every-time I visit home I think about bringing something I want tailored to get it done here. Recently, I brought in some raw selvedge denim, probably the most expensive jeans I've ever owned. I got it tailored here because I knew I could trust them, and although websites often recommend going to a denim specialist or something--amazing alterations did an amazing job with my jeans and I love them. We came in not knowing if it were possible to widen a leather uniform shirt by at least 5 inches. She said she could, and we were more than pleased with her solution, which involved 2 nicely done pleats in the back. I honestly have no one to compare them to except I have brough in custom designed dresses where I knew they could take some shortcuts to achieve my requests and they did an exquisite job...and they did a top quality alteration without any shortcut. For what they charged me, I felt it was worth it. I gave them ample time to complete the job because honestly, if you want something done well, get it there as soon as you can. I did, however, need a dress hemmed in a hurry...and they did a beautiful job on it as well. Granted, the other piece was way more complicated with several layers and folds. Very happy! read more

I'm happy to say that Amazing Alterations saved the day. My son's Senior Ball suit was delayed by Fed Ex and showed up the day of the event. After having the measurements done by Nordstrom, the online company sent his waist pants in 40 instead of 36. His jacket and vest were so oversized, he was almost swimming in them. With all the panic going on, we ran to Amazing Alterations since we've used them before around 2:15 pm, and they had all three pieces ready by 5:30 pm. My son had to be downtown at the Sheridan by 6:15 pm. It was such a close call but they got it done. The owners put other jobs on hold that they were working on and started helping us out right away. I'm happy to report my son made his Senior Ball on time and the suit turned out great! Thank you so much. We're going to continue to come back. read more

I NEEDED someone who could hem a pair of jeans (due to the procrastination of my adult son). Not one single person, who lists themselves as a seamstress or a tailor, were available... within a 40 mile radius of Yuba City. I was desperate! They were all booked 2 weeks out. Fortunately, I stumbled on the Amazing Alterations listing at the Galleria Mall. This business is awesome! They have a small set up in Galleria... near Macy's (from Macy's... go to the bottom floor and walk into the mall. Turn right at the next hallway... go straight to the next hallway and it is the last business on the back wall.) If I wanted to wait... they would have had the hemming done while I waited... but I made my son go back and get them! Now he knows we're to go to get his pants hemmed in the future. I bought a suit for my son and the pants were too long. Called Amazing Alterations in the morning to see if we could have them altered quickly because he needed to wear them in two days. The person who answered the phone was so kind after she heard our predicament and said bring them and I'll get it done. We went in at about 11 am and she said she would call when they were done. Got a call 3 hours later that they were done. The fit was great, she was polite and it was an EXTREMELY reasonable price. So many people would have taken advantage of the situation to charge more but thankfully she did not! We will definitely be returning. read more

I took two Lilly Pulitzer dresses here to have the hem let out so the dresses would be a little longer.... I thought I made it pretty clear that I did not want to have them let out if it would ruin the dress. They assured me the dresses would be fine or they wouldn't let the hem out. When I picked them up both dresses were dirty like maybe the machine was dirty? The 1st dress is still wearable but the hem is uneven and poorly done. It is also stained from the dirty machine. The second dress is destroyed. There are holes in it where the hem was before and the hem is also uneven. They didn't say anything to me about it they threw them in a bag and charged me the money. I didn't realize it until I got home. If you have something special or more expensive go somewhere else.... My dresses are both ruined now. read more

They're a bit more pricey buy it's well worth knowing you don't have to go back for corrections. Some background: I had to have two new patches put on my dress uniform shirt.
