ZERO STARS, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This was a terrible service experience from start to finish. I dropped off three pairs of pants for alterations on 12/16 and was required to pay in full upfront. I was explicitly told the alterations would be completed by 12/23 (receipt attached). When I went in on 12/24 to pick them up, I was shocked to learn they hadn't even been started--not delayed, not started at all. One of these pants was needed for a Christmas Eve party today, and because they failed to meet their own promised deadline, I now have nothing to wear. What made this even worse was that I was not the only customer affected. While I was there, at least four other people were also trying to pick up their items, and none of their alterations were completed either. This clearly shows a pattern of poor management and broken promises. It is completely unacceptable to take full payment, set clear expectations for pickup, and then fail to deliver without communication or accountability. This lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration and take your business elsewhere. read more

They ruined 3 of my four pieces of DRYCLEANING. See the photos below. It's best to have your garments dry cleaned on site. Otherwise they drive them to the Auburn location and drive your clothes back. Hence the grease from the truck. Pocket was melted and water stain not completely removed. read more

I take my uniforms here regularly. The prices are fair they are always ready on time and their customer service is unmatched. I had a very difficult stain in one of my shirts I said no big deal if you can't remove it since it's been there for a while, to my surprise they took the extra effort and time to remove it completely gone! My experience with any issues they have corrected right then and there. Also another reviewer complained about paying upfront before the service i prefer it that way since I'm always on go. We've been going to Elm Dry Cleaners for the last 3 years and have never had a problem till recently. My husband stopped by as usual to drop off a few dress shirts and jackets that needed to be hemmed and dry cleaned. After putting on the dress shirt, the lady at the front told my husband that his dress shirt looked fine on him and didn't need to be hemmed and was very rude about it. When he went to go put on the dress pants the lady then said rudely, "I don't know how you expect me to hem them properly since you didn't bring dress shoes!" However, my husband has never had to bring his dress shoes for the last 3 years for his pants to get hemmed properly. My husband went ahead and took all his clothes back that needed to be hemmed except for one shirt she was willing to fix. The return ticket she gave us said to pick up the clothes on 9/9, which gave them 9 days to hem and dry clean one dress shirt. My husband stopped by on 9/10 (a day late) to pick them up, in which the same lady said they aren't done yet!! No apology, nothing! She said she would call when the shirt was ready. However, we never received a phone call, so I stopped by myself on 9/12 to try and pick up the dress shirt, which was finally ready. She handed over the one shirt with no apology for being late, no thank you, nothing!! Needless to say we won't be returning. In fact, I found a new dry cleaners yesterday near Raley's in Lincoln, dropped everything off, in which they were very nice and professional, not to mention our clothes will be ready in 3 days!! I truly don't understand what's changed in three years to treat their customers so poorly at Elm Dry Cleaners, but there's no reason to treat others so rudely and disrespectfully. read more

This place shrunk my most expensive pair of pants which were only $150 however they were my favorite pair. They stretch them whatever that means and when I got them home, I realize there's holes in the pockets so whatever they use to stretch them, cause me to have holes in them They did not apologize. They act like it was my fault. They lost my husband's dress shirt. The manager promised to look into it and told me to keep receipts for the replacement shirt. Once he got the receipt, communication dropped off. I have since found out that a number of my neighbors have also had clothing go missing including a sport coat. They have also experienced similar lack of responsibility by management. They called me and said it wasn't there and not ready. Another day goes by, not ready. Finally able to pickup today. Apparently they don't do actual dry cleaning at this location and take it to another branch they have. I am done with this place and will not be returning. Mandeep saved my wedding. Amazing customer service. Long story but I'll keep it short. I was getting dry cleaning done at their Rocklin location during a move back in 2021. I'm getting married soon and i was looking for my suit pants with no luck. I came into the Lincoln location today and asked if I maybe had left them there years ago. After some looking, Mandeep was able to find my suit pants. They kept them there for almost 3 years. Still had them categorized appropriately. Amazing customer service and she really cared. Prices and dry cleaning quality are reasonable. Check your receipt, however, I got charged for silk pants that were polyester--difference of $5.00! Also, coat versus suit blazer, make sure you're charged for a blazer and not a coat. Wool vs. polyester coat--just check your receipt--could be a difference of more than $5 bucks! read more

Unfortunately this time will be the last time I get my comforter dry cleaned. I was told it would be ready on a Saturday. Drove back to pick it up on a Wednesday spending my gas and time and energy and was told it wasn't there and would take an extra two days on top of the 4 days...I would have appreciated a phone call so I wouldn't have to make the drive. Now I'm still waiting..no call from the owner like I asked for. I paid $66 dollars up front and would like a discount for the inconvenience. I will not be taking my business here ever again. I absolutely do not recommend using Elm Cleaners While dropping off formal wear that my Fiancé and I needed for a function, the staff repeatedly confirmed for me that the articles would be ready by that date. However when I arrived on that date I was told by an employee that my clothing was not ready and that the original employee had promised a date that was not possible. When I asked for a refund due to the clothes not being ready by the employee there told me that she was unable to authorize it and that only the owner was. She then refused to give me an email address or phone number for the owner so I am unable to reach him. Another customer was also in the store complaining about clothes not being ready on time when this was happening. This is a very unprofessional business - I recommend avoiding it and using one of the many other dry cleaning services in Lincoln or Rocklin instead. read more

Never, EVER again. Brought a pair of sweatpants (with zipper side pockets) to them because one of the zippers needed to be repaired or whatever. I was told the zipper needed to be replaced, but since zippers were expensive, was charged $22. I agreed and after about two weeks, returned and picked up the pants. Noted the zipper had not been replaced, only repaired, and that they had put the zipper back together so the slider would connect the elements once again. They had sewn across the tape and elements to create a new bottom stop. No problem as long as it worked (still okay with the $22 repair...I just wanted these pants to function correctly). Got home and found that they had not reconnected part of the fabric surrounding the zipper, so back it went. A week later, picked up the pants and all was well. After about two hours of usage, found that the slider had slid past the bottom stop and the zipper was in the same condition as it was when I had first dropped it off. Went back today, they said that it had been repaired and not replaced, so they wanted to charge me again, $22. I reminded them I had already paid for it, was willing to accept a "repair" instead of a stated "replace" (somewhere in there it appeared that I was paying for a part also, but alas...), however insisted that it would cost me another $22 for them to do anything about it. I once again went over the progression of what happened with the employee, she (allegedly) called the owner(?) and he/she would call me later. Not holding my breath especially looking at all of the one-star reviews (losing another customer...no big deal, right?). To repair this would take all of five minutes. Never again. read more

If I could rate this place 0 I would! I took clothes to be cleaned several times over the past few months with no problems, then the problems started. My 1st problem was when I arrived to pick up my 3 dress shirts and the woman couldn't find my shirts. She searched and searched for more than 20 minutes with no luck. I had to finally come behind the counter and find my shirts, which were not together and had no ticket information on them. During this transaction, I brought up my down comforter that I had dropped off which my shirts that was taking a few extra days. I was told that I could pick up the comforter on Wednesday, reconfirming my original pick up day. My wife arrived Wednesday evening and was told the comforter wouldn't arrive until Thursday now. I arrived Thursday morning and still no comforter. The lady at the counter said she couldn't even find a ticket for my comforter. She called the owner at her Auburn location and after 15-20 mins my comforter was found. They then tried to tell me it would be another week to get my comforter cleaned because they only clean comforters on fridays. I obviously demanded my comforter back and I was told I could pick it up the next day. I arrived today to pick up my comforter, which was finally there. This cleaners offers a HUGE risk of losing your clothes and comforters. I will never use them again! read more

Had my daughter's prom dress altered here. They lady who does alterations was very nice and did a good job especially with such a short notice. They do have three different locations and sometimes items get transferred for whatever reason, so just make sure you give them plenty of time and you don't need last minute items. I still gave them 4 stars because they were able to make the situation right and get our dress back to us on time. read more

I received a very nice white dress shirt back from them a couple of weeks ago that had a burn/scorch mark on the front that became a hole. I took it back and the First Lady flat out denied that their machines would do that. I advised that I took it out of my closet looking like this. I didn't notice before as it was between two other shirts. I further advised that this shirt was way less than a year old and hardly ever worn. She said that she would set it aside and I would hear from their Manager. Well an entries week went by with no phone call. When I went to pick up the three shirts that I did drop off that day; I received my three shirts and then asked a different lady about my ruined shirt. She had no real answer for me. She only said that she did see it hear previously, but did not know where it was at this time. This was about 2:45pm. She advised that Rick, the owner would be in at 4:00pm. I said," can you please have him call me? You have my number." She said, "He will be in at 4:00, he will not call you. I then said, "Fine, I will not be back ever then." THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! If I could give this place a negative 10 stars I would, I hate the fact that I even have to give one star. Took a pair of my husbands brand new $80 levi's to get dry cleaned. First time I dropped them off, I picked them up a week later and the spot that they were supposed to clean (that the lady at the counter said they could clean) was still on the pants. Brought the pants back and pointed it out to the lady at the counter and she said they would re-do the job at no charge and to come back in one week to pick up. I went back a week later to pick up the pants and the lady at the counter says they have no record of my pants being there and they cant find them. She told me she would talk to the owner and call me back in one week. No phone call so I go back in the store only to be told they STILL can't find them and that the owner will call me back. I ended up getting a hold of the owner, Ricky (who never tried to call me back) who tells me that he is going to look around and see if they can find them. After no phone call back (again), my husband calls Ricky and gets a run around from him too. My husband goes in the store and is told they can't find his pants and that they will keep working on it. I then call a couple days later to get a status of where my husbands $80 pants are and Ricky tells me they are lost but he will offer me half of the cost since they were "used and defective anyway". WHAT! Used? Defective! I told him they were brand new and he then says he can give me $20 and store credit for future cleanings. I explained to him that after my entire experience there I would NEVER EVER go back there. Long story short, after multiple phone calls, my husband went back to his store and finally was given a $40 check to replace his brand new $80 pants. This place is TERRIBLE. DO NOT take your clothes here. I wish I had read the prior Yelp reviews where multiple people have had the same experience with their clothes being lost. The owner takes zero accountability and tries to blame the customer for items being lost or service being bad. We literally had to call and go into the store so much he got sick of us and had to take action. It blows my mind how this place stays in business or how he has multiple locations. I I spent an arm and a leg on a very expensive down comforter that my four-year-old spilled grape juice on. Naturally my heart was broke. However, The girl on the phone told me to bring it in and they would look at it first, instead of charging me and making false promises. Come to find out they were able to get the grape juice out without ruining the comforter. Now I have my favorite comforter back and a new dry cleaner! read more
