Love this place! It's super clean, all the machines work (for me that is great) most places only have half the machines working. They have these huge washers that you can wash 8 loads of laundry for like $11!!! That's super cheap! There is an app you can use too. The speed queen app and you upload your laundry money there and every $20 up add you get a free $5 added to your funds. So that's pretty cool. If you don't do the app you can still use quarters (there's no extra $5 with that though. But I highly recommend the app. The woman who works here is super sweet and very helpful. I was around the area needed a few pieces of clothing to wash . I decided to give this place a chance, the inside was clean and well taken care of . Joy laundry in North Beale is by far the best and most clean laundry mat I've ever been to. From the huge washer and dryers to the exceptional staff service, this place is definitely worth 5 stars. They have the speed queen app which makes payment very easy!! No more dollar bills or change falling all over the place. Just download the app and pay with your phone. You can also use a card to pay at each of the machines. Change & bills are still accepted but the app makes things so fast! The facilities are very clean but one of the employees the daytime employee likes to park her car in the handicap space whereas to when I took my handicapped mother to the laundromat today she had to walk clear across the parking lot you shouldn't Park in the handicap space if you are not handicapped just because you're lazy doesn't give you the right to park in the handicap read more

Joy Laundry is clean and well maintained. The washers are excellent. The dryers - don't bother. 25 cents for 4 minutes on the big dryer on high - I must have plugged that dryer with 5 bucks to produce a partially dry down comforter. That's 80 minutes - and it's still not dry. Suspect this is deliberate to get the unsuspecting to spend all their cash drying wet clothes. Won't go back. read more

I don't go to the laundromat much. I only go to wash my really big pillows because it takes so long to dry them at home but I would not recommend this place. I think it's very expensive and there's no air conditioning was kind of miserable so I sat in my car. read more

Came here for dry cleaning since they advertised this here but the gentleman didn't know how to ring me up. Looking behind the counter, it didn't look like they actually had any sort of organization for clothes drop off so I ended up going to a different business well known for dry cleaning. The actual laundry mat looked really clean and was well lit. I would definitely return here if I needed to use their machines. read more

I guess what they say is true- 3rd times a charm! This is the third laundromat I've been to in the area and by far the nicest. It's the cleanest laundromat I've been to. It feels safe as there are cameras and an attendant. Many large size washers and dryers. There are change machines and a bunch of vending machines. With some of the washers you can use a credit card too. read more

I seldom use a laundromat and therefore was thrilled with my pleasant experience at Joy laundromat. I had no more schlepped in the door with my very large and awkward king sized, pillow top mattress pad when a nice man magically appeared. Without having to ask for help, he pointed out the most appropriate machine to handle my bundle, told me how many tide pods it would take, and mentioned how to use the machine. Then to my extreme surprise, he gave me $1 off my load. As my fluffy mess washed, I glance around the business, noticing that it was very clean, everything neatly in place, and all looking quite well tended. Additionally, I noticed that the same kind man never stopped moving. He continually worked on this and that, obviously taking pride in his establishment. Should my over stuffed mattress pad need another wash, I'll happily use this laundromat again. read more

Our dryer was not heating up, so we showed up to this laundromat. The pricing was good. A quarter for 7 minutes, we did about 30 minutes and everything dried completely through with our larger loads. There was staff present and cameras so it felt safer. Overall, was in and out quick, price was good, area felt safe, lots of machines to work with, and not too many people at 8-9am on a Sunday. So convenient for our first week in a new house without a washer and dryer! Now that we have one, I'm for sure going to continue to use them during extra busy seasons when I'm tight on time. Worked great for a couple dog bed covers that even our (now) brand new washer and dryer wouldn't clean to this extent. The pick-up and drop-off system is so key! This is the best service ever. We weren't even looking for a laundry service, but our washer broke and the laundry was piling up. We couldn't wait any longer so we luckily found Joy Laundry online. They came the next day and took all of our dirty clothes (2 adults, 3 kids). There were probably 10 bags of clothes. The communication was awesome, and the service was even better.
