Before coming in, I called to make sure they had experience sewing patches on a military uniform. They said yes, that they did it all the time. My husband brought in his uniform, patches, and printed out the specific instructions for them to use. I go to pick his uniforms up a few days later and my husband tells me that it's been done wrong. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at. read more

My wedding dress boutique did not offer in-house alterations, but I was provided a list of preferred vendors. After multiple attempts at communicating with those preferred vendors, there was 1 viable choice, but it was overpriced for what I needed and she ended up leaving me hanging on appointment availability anyway. Once that happened I took it upon myself to go on Yelp and find alternative solutions. Out of the next 2-3 choices I ventured out to, Nadia was the one I opted for because she was straight forward and was the only one who offered me 2 different bustle options - American (over) bustle or ballroom (under bustle). As a bonus, she was also 1/3 of the price of the wedding dress boutique's preferred vendor! Communications were all through Yelp messaging - clear cut for scheduling. Make sure for your fittings you always bring the shoes you'll be wearing for an accurate hem, etc. I opted for the ballroom bustle and Nadia numbered the attachments. During a subsequent fitting I had the MOB and MOH accompany me so they knew what to expect for doing the bustle on the day of the wedding. Forms of payment accepted are cash, card, and money sharing apps - I opted for Zelle. read more

She did an amazing job on my daughter's cords pants. They needed to shortened and she kept the bell bottom.

I cannot say enough good things about Nadia the owner. I 1st went to her when my dress pants waist seam ripped that was actually previously done by another tailor. I had the other tailor business bring in the waist and shorten the length of the pant legs of my dress pants. The same ripped seam happened with another pair done by the other tailor too. When I brought them to Nadia, she informed me that the other tailor used the wrong sewing machine. They were supposed to used a machine for the stretchy material in the waist. Ever since I've gone back to Nadia. I also brought my gym/yoga pants for her to shorten the pant leg length. Just recently I brought in dress pants to fix a broken zipper. I haven't had anything else tailored by her other than pants. But Each time the quality is good. Her customer service is great. Each time I've brought something it's been a walk in. Her turn around time is decent, it's been a week on average. I'll only go to Nadia after learning that she had to correct another tailor's mistake. Of course as someone who doesn't sew, I'd have no way of knowing. read more

Perfect Every Time!!! I've been here twice already and am headed back to have more work done

Amazing work shortening/hemming my pants. One pair is very formal for a suit and the hem is totally professional. The other linen pair had elastic at the ankles which they removed and changed to a beautiful cuff. Not only do they do beautiful work, Nadia is warm and kind and turned my order over in just a few days. I will be back!! read more

She is a miracle worker!! I bought a wedding dress in June 2023, and met with Anha in July. We developed a plan for fitting the dress, but by the time November rolled around, Anha was no longer owner. I was a bit nervous about the change but Nadya is AMAZING!! I shared that I originally bought the dress during the summer but found out I was pregnant for my wedding in April 2024. Her response was "we are going to make it work!". And she did just that!! She changed it to corset-tie back, added straps, let out the dress quite a bit in all areas and hemmed for me. She was careful and precise so the dress is full beading. I visited her at least 6 times for fittings and even brought my mom in for the hem of her dress. Nadya even offered her friend to create a custom hair piece ! Wedding guests were commenting on the perfect fit of my dress and how amazing it was! I highly recommend!! Go see her!! read more

This is the place to go! I brought my Made With Love bridal gown here and I'm so glad I did. I recently went in for my second fitting and I'm soooo happy with the results. We decided to take in the bust, hem the bottom, and do a bustle (which came out beautiful)! Now we're adding some extra touches and I'm soooo excited to see the finished product! I did my research, and they have the most reasonable prices with great reviews! I couldn't recommend them more! read more

My experience with Nadia altering my wedding dress was incredible. I was honestly so stressed about it, and she eased my worries every time. I choose to wear my MIL's wedding dress. It was a beautiful dress, but because I'm so short, I was drowning in it. I knew it could be exactly what I wanted, and Nadia absolutely delivered. I added some pictures of what the dress looked like initially (beautiful but covered more than I wanted), the pictures of when I picked the dress up, and the day of the wedding. I wanted some sparkle so Nadia found some fabric and added it to the top of the dress. My mom did add some extra bling right above where the skirt trumpets out separately. In addition to the dress, there were some pieces of jewelry in a display. When I asked about them, Nadia said her friend could make me a custom headpiece, and that's exactly what she did. She searched for stones that would match the sparkle and made me a gorgeous headpiece. And everything was so affordable! I was quoted so much money at other places, and they weren't all able/willing to do the alterations I was hoping for. Nadia was able to do it all at a much better price, although honestly I would have paid her the amount other people were asking because it was worth it. I highly highly recommend going to Thread on Mission Alterations for any alterations you need done. You won't have to worry about a thing, the alterations will be done timely, and Nadia is so kind and easy to work with. I've been recommending them to anyone who asks and I'll keep doing so. She really made our special day even more special, and I'm so grateful read more

I was looking for someone to do an alteration on a dress I bought that was a tad too small. Service was fast and friendly. She was able to fit me in and work with my schedule. I'm glad I found her and she'll be my first stop if I need any more alterations. Her prices are very reasonable, as well. read more

I love her work. I needed my dress hemmed, the bodice tightened, and added an inner lining to the bodice. She was kind and easy to work with. I got my wedding dress tailored here. My dress turned out great. When I went to go pick up my dress one of the lady's who worked there didn't speak English but she tried her best to be helpful and understand the changes I was hoping they could make which I appreciated. I got in touch with Nadia for a few wedding dress alterations (ceremony and reception), receiving rough estimates via text and then confirming in person and she was very fair with her pricing. She also was very accommodating with scheduling and fitting appointments which helped reduce a lot of stress during the already stressful season of wedding planning. I needed a skirt altered quickly for an event out of town. I looked through the reviews and I also considered traveling across town, but this was a great location. I called and was able to go in the same day, 20 minutes after calling. It was able to go in during lunch, get fitted and my skirt was ready in three days. The price was fair and at current market. The work was beautifully done and my skirt was also tapered to better fit my shape. I will definitely bring in more items. I've been losing lots of weight and I own a lot of classic pieces that I don't necessarily want to replace, especially if things can be altered. read more

I was in need of getting 11 jeans hemmed and 1 sweat pant hemmed. Anha gave a reasonable price. But oddly charged tax. Maybe I am originally from the bay area and none of the alterations I've been to in the past charged tax. Why so many jeans? I've been getting my jeans altered with the original for $15 in SF. Hem is $10. I waited and did a lot of research before deciding where to go. I am very meticulous with stitching especially if it is particular brand name jeans. After 3 consultations and price quotes. Anha stood out for me. So we decided to give her shop a try. Do keep in mind that Anha usually prefer "by appointment only" but was nice to take my husband same day. As we got inside she told us the price and ask us what we wanted. We got all our jeans hemmed instead of keeping the original because we had a lot of jeans and thinking getting hemmed would be much easier for her. She asked us to try the jeans on. I know my size because all my jeans are between 27"-28". My jeans are long from 29"-31". My hubs had his measured to his old jeans. Luckily Anha told me the sweat pants are diff measurements from jeans and had me try on my sweats and pinned my length for me. I thank her for her recommendation. She said we can pick up Sunday. Hubs said we can pick up Monday after his work. He should be here around 11:45-12pm. Monday he went there and she was not at the store. She informed hubs that she text that it had to be delayed till tomorrow but I didn't receive any text. She realized she texts the wrong number. Next day pick up she was running late. I said "oh no" she's finishing up a few jeans. I was worried that it was rushed and the stitches would be crooked. I was right. I was upset. Two of my jeans weren't even cut to 28" inch. When I measured it. It was the same length! 30" and another pant that was cropped was not altered at all. Very dishonest. All in all. My 3 jeans were are different lengths. Only one jean that was 28" and the sweat pant was good. If she needed more time, I wouldn't have an issue with it. Just text me and let me know. The stitches was very poorly executed but some of her other hemmed pants like my hubs, were good. Time management is important and being punctual is a must but I am understanding, if more time is needed. I am willingness to wait. read more

SHE IS A MIRACLE WORKER! I had used Thread on a Mission for my wedding dress alterations. After searching from Elk Grove to Folsom and Roseville she was the best priced. I absolutely loved my dress! She hemmed it and placed a bustle. I was also told by other seamstresses that because of my intricate beading it would break their machinery (whatever that means). But she knew exactly what to do! I even added full sleeves to my dress. Her price and quality is unmatched! I RECOMMEND HER 1000%!! Thank you for such a beautiful dress! She really does listen and makes you feel so comfortable. After being completely shafted by another tailor who took 2 weeks and STILL couldn't complete the job, Anha's saved the day!! My son was traveling out of state for a wedding and after the original tailor basically lied and didn't come through, I sent a message to Anha's and they were able to do a last minute suit tailoring in 24 hours at an excellent price. Very quick and communicative. Got my husbands suit fitting a few weeks before our wedding. I definitely recommend.

After getting quotes over $2,000 for my wedding dress to be altered I went to Anha who provided a WAY more reasonable price to alter my dress. I was skeptical since it was my wedding dress and there were a lot of intricate alterations to be done. Anha assured me she could do it and made me feel comfortable and like I was in good hands (I was really worried). After a few different appointments, Anha finished my dress and it was beyond perfect. Not one thing was wrong with the dress. She took the torso in on a lace/beaded dress which I was told was impossible by some, she added straps, cups, and a bustle and made shortened it (with MANY layers). Also, 2 weeks before my wedding my husband needed his tux sleeves to be longer. Anha and the other lady quickly responded and fixed his sleeves on short notice within a week. The Tux was perfect! 10/10 recommend. read more
