He uses the lower level of his home and has a separate changing room for measurement as well as several work rooms for his craft. Let me start off by saying Ando is amazing!!! He saved my wedding dress before it had even been delivered! How is this possible? After discussing my wedding dress and size with Ando he immediately recommended I go two sizes down as he believed whoever took my measurements (separate company) wrote them down incorrect. I of course called the Bridal shop scheduled an appointment had them remeasure me and sure enough Ando was right!!!! The manager that re measure me said that whoever originally measured me was incorrect with sizing as I am a size 10 not 14!!!!!! The manager I was working with quickly called the production company and designer although they already started creating my dress I was able to catch it in the early stages and change my dress to a 10 instead of 14. He was an incredible gentleman, suggesting that while he would be happy for my business it wouldn't make financial sense to spend more on a lining than I spent on the robe. Ando is awesome for a few reasons. He's extremely knowledgeable and has done an excellent job with both my suit and my wife's pleated dress. He used to be a suit maker and it shows. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. He took in my jacked and vest. From a generic suit I got a tailored and nicely tapered one. The pants the suit came with were almost perfect so he suggested that I don't take them in any further as it won't make a difference. I greatly appreciated that he didn't upsell me on this. My wife's pleated dress was a challenge for 2 other tailors we went to, all of them refused the challenge of tailoring it. Not Ando, after he had a look and took a few measurements he told us that he can definitely do it even though it's not that straightforward. The dress came out perfect. I found Ando two years ago when I needed alterations to my bridesmaid dress. This was my first experience with a tailor and we sure lucked out! He ended up doing my dress, another bridesmaids and the brides! His fees are MORE than REASONABLE and way below competitors! The bride's dress required taking out a bone, adding chest padding and hand stitching all the beading when he had to shorten the dress. I am now in another wedding and knew just where to go! I made the bride come here and his prices were a 3rd of what alfred angelo/david's bridal would have charged and the quality of work is phenomenal! the man cut 4 inches off 5 layers and spent 2 hours hand stitching the final lace layer. It took him a week to get this and a few minor things done- the bride was shocked. Bridal shops request 6 weeks in advanced and he can do it in 1 week. I've been here many times for suit/uniform alterations! I keep coming back because the workmanship Ando provides is top notch. I've had my business suit altered along with my Army service uniform and Army mess dress. He follows the specified instructions provided for the military uniforms extremely well (definitely didn't want any measurements/alterations out of specifications).
