Downright fantastic tailor and customer service! I had a handful of alterations needed, including a full suit and a couple of blazers, one of which needed substantial altering. Ando really hit everything out of the park! It all fits perfectly now, and he got it all done over just a few days. Ando has a long history as a tailor, both at Nordstrom and then owned his own brick-and-mortar shop for years. He also has the skillset to create a suit whole-cloth. So he can definitely handle anything you need. read more

Ando takes a lot of pride in his work and is very skilled. He is also super accommodating to your needs and schedule. He uses the lower level of his home and has a separate changing room for measurement as well as several work rooms for his craft. My boyfriend had a suit that was a little sloppy and needed to be taken in. He got us in on the same day we called, measured and had it ready in less than a week for a special event we were attending. The fit was perfect! If you need a tailor, I highly recommend Designer Tailor read more

Ando is a very talented tailor, extremely good at his craft. In addition, he is way more reasonably priced than other tailors in my experience. He will be my go-to for any alterations that I need in the future and I have recommended him to friends who have also been pleased with his work. Thank you Ando! read more

Ando's art of perfectionism in alterations and suit making exceeded my expectations and then some! I must reiterate how incredibly impressed I am with his services. He's extremely professional, an excellent communicator and appreciative of his clients and their requests. I was a tad worried at first when i had been previously rejected by a referred alterations location. Once sitting with Ando and explaining what i needed - my husbands Pendleton wool button up shirt lined with thick material for extra warmth he made me feel at ease with my requests. Ando had been a suit maker for 15 years for another company before branching out on his own. Ando showed me his current work he's completed with variations of different needs wether it was lengthening, shortening, dress alterations, inserting fitted bra cups for support and extra cleavage as well as suits i knew i was in excellent hands. It's very rare these days finding someone with compassion in what they do as well as friendly service! I plan on returning for all my future needs and have highly recommend to my friends. Thank you Ando!!! I almost forgot to add how extremely reasonably priced he is!!! My turn around time was way before my original ETA, no rush needed but he exceeds at what he does and can get it done quickly! read more

Let me start off by saying Ando is amazing!!! He saved my wedding dress before it had even been delivered! How is this possible? After discussing my wedding dress and size with Ando he immediately recommended I go two sizes down as he believed whoever took my measurements (separate company) wrote them down incorrect. I of course called the Bridal shop scheduled an appointment had them remeasure me and sure enough Ando was right!!!! The manager that re measure me said that whoever originally measured me was incorrect with sizing as I am a size 10 not 14!!!!!! The manager I was working with quickly called the production company and designer although they already started creating my dress I was able to catch it in the early stages and change my dress to a 10 instead of 14. Thank you again Ando! You have saved my wedding dress before it has even been delivered!!! Ando has not even worked on my dress but offered his advice to me as a friend and future client.... Customer service does not get any better than this!!!!!! read more

Ando tailored my suit in 5 days. Perfectly done on length and tapered my forearm and calf area and precisely. I have a short and muscular/chubby build and this suit couldn't fit me any better. Found my go to tailor. Thanks again Ando read more

I had my wedding dress altered by Ando today. It was too tight in the hips, and Ill fitting in the chest. He was able to fix both of these issues in an hour. He's very kind and professional. I was shocked at what he was able to do in a short period, for a great price. I highly recommend. I will be coming to him for all my tailoring needs. Thank you! read more

I brought a robe in to be lined and he asked me how much it cost and after going over the cost of the lining suggested I rethink the idea. He was an incredible gentleman, suggesting that while he would be happy for my business it wouldn't make financial sense to spend more on a lining than I spent on the robe. I will definitely be back for all my tailoring needs as this is a man who, I can tell, cares about his customers and his quality. read more

Excellent service. I needed my dress to be fixed quickly and Ando did it in a week, which was great. It turned out beautiful!! Thank you!!

Ando is awesome for a few reasons. He's extremely knowledgeable and has done an excellent job with both my suit and my wife's pleated dress. He used to be a suit maker and it shows. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. He took in my jacked and vest. From a generic suit I got a tailored and nicely tapered one. The pants the suit came with were almost perfect so he suggested that I don't take them in any further as it won't make a difference. I greatly appreciated that he didn't upsell me on this. My wife's pleated dress was a challenge for 2 other tailors we went to, all of them refused the challenge of tailoring it. Not Ando, after he had a look and took a few measurements he told us that he can definitely do it even though it's not that straightforward. The dress came out perfect. I would encourage anyone reading this review to give Designer Tailor a shot. I will be a regular customer, that's for sure. read more

Ando is awesome! He was quick, responsive, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. He took in my shirt length and altered pants. They fit great! I plan on taking all my shirts to him from now on. I wouldn't go to anyone else and I highly recommends him. Thanks for making our wedding day a dream! read more

Ando is the best. Hands down. I have been going to Ando for many many years when he was off of Hazel. He is now working out of his beautiful home just a few miles away. Ando gives his advice on the cut, but ultimately, cuts the clothes exactly how you ask. I mean exactly how you asked. I have taken every type of garment to him. Suits, jeans, jackets, t shirts, and even athletic joggers!! He has cut them to exactly what I like. If you are ever in a store and can't find your size, don't worry. Buy one size up and Ando will make it fit better than ever. PS...95% of people can't buy a pair of pants/jeans/suit and have it fit perfect. I promise those jeans you bought, that you thought fit perfect...DONT. BUT Ando will make them!! Don't ever move Ando!! read more

Ando always does 5-Star quality work. I've had him custom tailor suits, hem pants, and add satin linings to some of my dress slacks to improve the fit so they don't get caught on my socks when I'm walking. He always does high-quality work. Highly recommended. read more

Designer Tailor - Ando added satin linings to my dress slacks. Top notch work! - Sewing & Alterations Near Me

Where do I begin? I'm leaving in 9 days to go to a wedding. There were problems galore with my dress. I finally got a different dress and it was beautiful but just didn't fit properly. I called Ando and 30 minutes later I was in my dress and he was figuring out the alterations. A few short hours later, I was picking up my dress.... G O R G E O U S !!!! Professionalism exemplified. End result, stunning. If you need something done to perfection, give him a call. read more

Designer Tailor did an amazing job altering my bridesmaid dress this summer! I called Designer Tailor frantically just days before the wedding after another tailor had altered my dress incorrectly. Ando immediately put my mind at ease and assured me that he could alter the dress in time for the event. When I arrived at the shop, he genuinely listened to my concerns and within minutes of trying on the dress, he said he knew exactly how to fix everything. I could not believe how reasonable the pricing was, and after everything I had previously been through with this dress, I thought to myself "this sounds too good to be true...", but it wasn't! I received a call the very next day that my dress was ready for pick up, and when I tried it on, it was PERFECT! I'm so thankful to have found Designer Tailor! They deliver top quality work with excellent customer service at a very reasonable price. I will definitely be returning here for all my future alteration needs, and I would highly recommend others to do so as well! read more

Absolutely the best experience I could've asked for. Ando was able to get me a suit and fit it exactly to me for a better price than I could've hoped for! He is quick, amazingly talented and a pleasure to work with. I'm going to look great at my wedding, thank you Ando! read more

Where is the 6th star button? This place is amazing!! The owner Ando is so good at what he does. Seriously this guy kicks major butt. He is courteous, quick and has serious experience (he was a tailor at Nordstrom for 14 years prior to having his own shop). I stopped in today to have him alter an article of clothing for me and I thought I was pushing my luck when I told him I needed it by tomorrow. He called me back TODAY! I arrived and took one look at what he worked on and I was so happy that I almost hugged him. Too big? Too short? Too long? Want it custom made? Give him a call. I don't mind sharing him, just know I saw him first! hehehe The place is very pretty, very clean and very up to date. read more

I drive out of the way to come here, because I trust this man with my clothes! He does excellent tailoring work. Prices are average.

I found Ando two years ago when I needed alterations to my bridesmaid dress. This was my first experience with a tailor and we sure lucked out! He ended up doing my dress, another bridesmaids and the brides! His fees are MORE than REASONABLE and way below competitors! The bride's dress required taking out a bone, adding chest padding and hand stitching all the beading when he had to shorten the dress. I am now in another wedding and knew just where to go! I made the bride come here and his prices were a 3rd of what alfred angelo/david's bridal would have charged and the quality of work is phenomenal! the man cut 4 inches off 5 layers and spent 2 hours hand stitching the final lace layer. It took him a week to get this and a few minor things done- the bride was shocked. Bridal shops request 6 weeks in advanced and he can do it in 1 week. I recommend him to anyone, if you want it done right, come to him. No one can beat this man's price, talent or love for making your clothing fit! read more

I just moved to Sacramento from San Francisco and I needed to find someone to take in a high end designer jacket for me in the area. It was either finding someone here or taking a trip down to SF to see my tailor down there. After much search I found Ando online and absolutely had the best reviews on here. He knew exactly what I needed done and was very familiar with high end tailoring. Reasonably priced and great costumer service. I'd recommend Ando to anyone that needs a qualified tailor in the Sacramento area! read more

Great work super fast. Such a blessing to have such a great alterations person in my life

I've been going to Designer Tailor for a couple years now. I can honestly say that Ando by far does the best work that I have seen. Everything I need tailored goes to him. Best tailor in town by far. You'll leave here confident your alterations are perfect. Ive had my jeans, t-shirts, and suits tailored here and everything turned out better than I could have imagined. I'm between sizes and clothes never fit me just right. I've been frustrated for years because of this. Not anymore! I just bring my clothes here and everything ends up literally perfect. I also learned a lot about tailoring in general. 10/10 would recommend this place. read more

I had bought 2 suits from Zara in San Francisco which I loved the fabric and style. However, it did need some alterations to make it perfect. I am not used to the modern Euro slim cut pants but I think with some time I will get used to it. Anyhow, Ando, the owner did a fantastic job on the alterations of tightening up the waistline on both pants and shortening the sleeves on one suit jacket was both professional and on time. His fees are also very reasonable for the quality work that he does. I will be taking in some older suits that I have which I love the material and have him modernize the cut/style to fit today's fashion. I would recommend him to anyone interested in great quality work for a reasonable price. read more
