After multiple attempts at communicating with those preferred vendors, there was 1 viable choice, but it was overpriced for what I needed and she ended up leaving me hanging on appointment availability anyway. Once that happened I took it upon myself to go on Yelp and find alternative solutions. Out of the next 2-3 choices I ventured out to, Nadia was the one I opted for because she was straight forward and was the only one who offered me 2 different bustle options - American (over) bustle or ballroom (under bustle). As a bonus, she was also 1/3 of the price of the wedding dress boutique's preferred vendor! Communications were all through Yelp messaging - clear cut for scheduling. Make sure for your fittings you always bring the shoes you'll be wearing for an accurate hem, etc. I opted for the ballroom bustle and Nadia numbered the attachments. During a subsequent fitting I had the MOB and MOH accompany me so they knew what to expect for doing the bustle on the day of the wedding. Forms of payment accepted are cash, card, and money sharing apps - I opted for Zelle.

My husband brought in his uniform, patches, and printed out the specific instructions for them to use. I go to pick his uniforms up a few days later and my husband tells me that it's been done wrong. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at.

Then, without any advance notification, I had to pay additional for tailoring AND beyond that, the tailoring charge was line itemed for every touch point adding an additional & $150 to the total cost. Finally, after having spent more than $750, they wanted to charge an addtional $3.00 for a plastic garment bag. I don't know what I'll do the next time I need a suit, but I sure as hell won't be a repeat customer of yours.

The staff were curt and dismissive, and despite my husband clearly explaining his measurements and fit preferences, they repeatedly gave him jackets that were several sizes too small. He has a broad chest and shoulders, and it felt like no one took that into account - they just kept handing him the same size until he had to insist otherwise. Two days before the wedding, when we picked up the suit, his vest was noticeably too small and didn't fit at all. We ended up having to drive back to the store during our rehearsal setup to get a new one. That was the day before the wedding - a problem that could've been avoided entirely with basic attention and care. The idea of using Men's Wearhouse is great in theory for group rentals, but our experience with this store's staff and execution was frustrating from start to finish.

She quoted me $2200 for all the party decor including set up. I told her I would be in touch. She said, "thank you" and that was the end of that conversation. Around January 27th I reached out to her again to ask for photos of the centerpiece she rents. She sent me some pictures and that was the end of that. On January 31st, I gave her a call to schedule a meeting in person so we could sign a contract and talk about the decor colors etc. We decided to meet on February 3rd. The day we were supposed to meet I sent her a text to confirm our appointment and she does confirm it. However she also tells me that the estimate of $2200 is no longer valid. I thought it might have gone up a bit, but in fact she raised the price by $800. Now she wanted to charge me $3000 (set up not included). I immediately called her (at this time I was already driving to the meet spot) and asked her why the price changed. She said that the original estimate was for a special promotion that she ran January and that it was only valid until January 10th. I asked her why she didn't mention this the first time I made contact with her. Furthermore, why she didn't mention it when I set up the meeting. Obviously, I did not meet with her. She did apologize but she didn't remedy the situation or care about my feedback. This is bad customer service and deceitful. For anyone who plans to hire MJ in the future. Please be PROACTIVE and ask her how long the estimate/quote is valid for. That way you are not surprised or thrown for a loop like I was.
