I was frustrated with the dress-search process before coming here, but scheduled an appointment with Bride to be Couture on a whim, and I'm so glad I did. They had a huge selection of unique and quality dresses, and most importantly, stylists who really listened to what I was looking for. I worked with Maggie Sullivan and she was the first stylist (after several other fittings) who really tried to understand my vision for the day before pulling gowns. Every dress was an improvement upon the last and even after I thought I had found the right dress, she pulled an even better one. Maggie is incredible at what she does, while also being honest about pros/cons of each option. She's also so incredibly patient and supportive. This was the third dress shop I went to and it was a perfect experience. The selection of dresses was absolutely beautiful with so many styles to choose from. Laurny was amazing at listening to what I wanted and helped me find a dress that was even better than I imagined. This was my first bridal shop I visited and I am so glad it was my first! I found my dream dress after the 6th dress I tried on and it was a design I unexpectedly fell in love with on myself. Tayler was my bridal stylist at my first appointment and she is just an amazing and sweet person overall. She is very attentive to details, asks questions on what you like/dislike, and is very patient as well. I can tell Tayler enjoys what she does and she is very good at it! I eventually went to try on 2 other bridal shops and tried on at least 20 dresses at this point but I could not stop thinking about the dress that I fell in love with. Here is the thing- I'm sure a lot of brides dream of going dress shopping their entire lives. They look forward to it, know what kind of dress they want and walk into their appointments excited and ready to find their dress. That is not me. Leading up to my appointment I was having anxiety and feeling worried that I wouldn't like how my body looked in any of the dresses (thank you CrossFit and gymnastics for years of body image issues ) Anyway.. I bought my wedding dress here and I was the most patient person they can possibly have. They measured me and ordered dress. It came in probably 2 sizes too big. Instead of turning around to Pronovias and requesting a smaller size dress, they acted like they were doing me a favor by charging me $1,000 for all the alterations. The best favor they could have done would have been to call Pronovias and tell them their dress ran big to send a smaller size. I live in San Jose, so it wasn't easy going there. Every time I went, the level of rudeness was overwhelming. They acted like I was buying an off the rack dress. One of my visits was before 5 pm and they were in such a hurry to leave, they didn't give me time to look at the dress. It had stains when I brought it home. I drove 4 hours just to have 2 stains removed. They wanted to compensate me $60 for gas! My latest update is that I did call Dina and e-mailed her. If Dina wanted to make things right, she has my number and all my information along with my money. On top of that, I have found snags (not one but many) on my dress where the top was attached. This only tells me that this place had NO intention of helping me out. Don't buy anything here. There's a bridal store down the street. read more

I loved my experience at Bride To Be Couture, everyone was so friendly and I was very comfortable with my stylist. Arianna was able to answer all of my questions and she made me feel seen, heard and beautiful! The designs that did not quite work were a great foundation for me to decide what I wanted and she presented alternative options. The variety of options allowed me to fully customize my dress with designers from Elizabeth Lee and make a one-of-a-kind dress. I came in to try on a specific dress and was lucky to have come in during the Elizabeth Lee trunk show. I fell in love with the fabric that had a hibiscus print on it. It was really special to me since my mom was wearing a dress with the same flowers on it and my fiancé's mom's last Christmas gift to me was a gold hibiscus necklace. I was able to have both my mamas present in selecting and designing my dress. Truly a special and memorable experience here and I am grateful to have connected with the staff here. I SAID YES TO THE DRESS! In full disclosure I was at the point in my wedding dress shopping where I knew exactly what I wanted. I mean, I had tried three different bridal stores and just hadn't found "the one". But even before I stepped foot in Bride to Be Couture, I had a really good feeling about booking my appointment. They have glowing reviews online and their selection of dresses had such a wide variety (and large quantity!) I knew I would find it here. As soon as we (my mom, sister/bridesmaid) and I walked in, we were greeted and directed to our dressing room area where a super cute welcome sign awaited us. Arianna, my stylist, greeted us and walked us through the process and asked a few questions about my vision. Then she got this gleem in her eye and said "okay - I know what to look for. I'm going shopping, I will be right back!" and it was in that very moment I knew she was going to find the dress for me! Side note - when she said "shopping" she meant it. This store is HUGE! With over 2,000 dresses, I cannot imagine any bride walking away without at least having a very detailed vision of what she's looking for in her perfect dress. To wrap things up - I only had to try on two dresses. The first one Arianna picked was gorgeous, but the second one she picked was THE ONE!! As soon as I put it on I could not stop staring at myself in the mirror, my eyes got foggy, and I finally had that "WOW. I'M A BRIDE!" moment I had been looking for. My mom and sister were bawling too of course. It was a perfect moment. Arianna made me feel beautiful and genuinely cared for. She is such a professional and even brought in Dina (the shop owner and alterations pro) to chat about what we could do to tailor this dress exactly to my vision. I will say, I really appreciated Dina's realistic approach to alterations. She brought out a measuring tape and told me exactly what they could AND couldn't do. (This was my first experience at an appointment where the sales person wasn't just "selling" me. Like "Oh, yeah we can do anything you want!" and honestly that was a HUGE green flag.) Had the best experience finding my bridal gown here! My timeline is tight so was shopping from the sample sale. They take great care of their samples and I had so much variety to choose from. My stylist Lauryn was warm, kind, funny, knowledgeable and made the process seamless! Any little question my entourage had, she would pull something from her bag of tricks to allow us to visualize the final product. Updated. Here's photos of my dress from the big day. Since this initial review I ended up picking a different dress and it was truly an emotional process. Arianna, Dina, and Anthony are the reason why the process still ended beautifully and like a dream. Communication was perfect, empathy was perfect, Arianna being my advocate when I was overwhelmed perfect, I felt like family by the end of it all. The ONLY thing I wish happened different was that my dress was fully ready to go with the buttons we added all at my final fitting to ensure I knew what I was walking down the aisle with. It made me nervous come wedding day as that seam in the front of the dress was my favorite part, and I didn't get to see it fully pressed until wedding day, and it didn't lay right when I walked. But alas, it was beautiful, and that's only the alterations, that does not take away from my entire experience, I still got married in my dream dress. Bride to Be Couture is dishonest, unprofessional, and absolutely not worth your time or money. I paid for my fiancée's wedding dress, investing a significant amount to ensure she got the dress of her dreams. We were assured it was being custom-made in Spain, that was a complete lie. We later discovered, through photographic proof, that the dress was actually produced in China (see pictures below). My fiancée received her dress in November, and like any other bride, she was excited, only to find it was full of flaws and mistakes that no so-called "top-tier designer" should ever make. I won't go into detail about the issues, but you can read my fiancée's review for the full breakdown. Bride to Be Couture admitted that all the mistakes and flaws were the designer's fault. Yet when we asked them to have the dress fixed by a set deadline, allowing my fiancée enough time for alterations, they refused and instead gave us an ultimatum: either pick up the flawed dress as is within two weeks of them getting it back, or be charged $500 and forfeit the dress entirely. We were forced to take it back in its defective condition. This experience has been nothing short of a scam. Despite our significant financial investment, the shop failed to deliver the quality and transparency they promised. Their lack of accountability and poor customer service is unacceptable. Our experience with the owner, Anthony, was extremely disappointing, once payment was made, he refused to take any responsibility. Avoid Bride to Be Couture at all costs. This shop is dishonest, manipulative, and unprofessional. Do not waste your money here. There are far better, more honest bridal shops that actually value their customers, Bride to Be Couture is not one of them. Read the bad reviews first. They may seem outnumbered by the good ones, but that's because right after my fiancée visited the shop, she was sent repeated emails pressuring her to leave a positive review, after just her first or second visit. If you don't, they relentlessly follow up until you do. Believe the bad reviews. They reflect real experiences, just like ours. A really wide range of dresses to choose from, if you can dream it they have it. This is great because the dress that never even crossed your mind could end up being the ONE, which happened to me. Being curvier, i wanted to hide a bit, and have never thought i would feel so confident in a form fitting dress but when I found the ONE, it felt like my own personal "happy birthday Mr. President" dress!
