Ando has a long history as a tailor, both at Nordstrom and then owned his own brick-and-mortar shop for years. He also has the skillset to create a suit whole-cloth. After multiple attempts at communicating with those preferred vendors, there was 1 viable choice, but it was overpriced for what I needed and she ended up leaving me hanging on appointment availability anyway. Once that happened I took it upon myself to go on Yelp and find alternative solutions. Out of the next 2-3 choices I ventured out to, Nadia was the one I opted for because she was straight forward and was the only one who offered me 2 different bustle options - American (over) bustle or ballroom (under bustle). As a bonus, she was also 1/3 of the price of the wedding dress boutique's preferred vendor! Communications were all through Yelp messaging - clear cut for scheduling. Make sure for your fittings you always bring the shoes you'll be wearing for an accurate hem, etc. I opted for the ballroom bustle and Nadia numbered the attachments. During a subsequent fitting I had the MOB and MOH accompany me so they knew what to expect for doing the bustle on the day of the wedding. Forms of payment accepted are cash, card, and money sharing apps - I opted for Zelle.

My husband brought in his uniform, patches, and printed out the specific instructions for them to use. I go to pick his uniforms up a few days later and my husband tells me that it's been done wrong. They sewed his name patch ON the pocket flap when the instructions specified that it belongs ABOVE the pocket flap. No branch of the military has the name patch sewn on the actual flap which led me to believe that they in fact did not have experience with military uniforms. They also cut the name patch incorrectly so it's no longer usable. We had to order new ones which cost $20, and they were back ordered. Great. We ended up getting a partial refund from the business, but were not reimbursed for the name patches. I'm sure this business does well with dresses and suits, but I'd probably go somewhere else for military uniforms, especially when you brought in a physical copy of instructions on where the patches go, that they didn't even look at.

I rarely write reviews, but I want to warn others because these guys clearly don't…read more I ordered embroidery on a sweatshirt and agreed to use their service mainly because of the fast turnaround. They really did finish it in one day, while other places quoted up to five days. However, when I saw the finished piece, I was honestly confused. The quality was below average -- the embroidery wasn't dense, didn't look professional at all -- so I left it for a redo. The next day I contacted the owner and was told that her machine "only does it this way." Instead of warning me about this beforehand, she said that my expectations were too high and that I was the one seeing bad quality, not her. She offered to remove the embroidery and refund the service, but the sweatshirt was brand new with tags, and removing it would leave holes in the fabric. There is another woman working in the shop who said the exact same thing, with a smile, that my expectations were higher than their capabilities and that they are not responsible for the poor quality -- all questions should be directed to their "machine." These people are not competent when it comes to communication with customers, taking responsibility for their mistakes, or actually trying to help. In the end, I also noticed that all the embroidery was crooked and asked the owner about it, but never received any response.
