I came into Nada's shop because I needed a 2nd option for my wedding day. I had gotten my other dress when I was heavier so I needed it taken in. My actual Wedding dress was so long I thought I wasn't going to be able to move around with it on. Nada is really friendly and we were talking about my wedding dress and she asked me if I was happy with it, I told her I had concerns with the train. My other seamstress wasn't very helpful and she made it seem like there was nothing left to do. The other seamstress just told me to hold it in my arms. I brought the dress to Nada, she did state a bustle would not work because of the structure of the dress. I knew that was true because the other seamstress said the same thing. She did state that the train could be shortened. The train was so long I knew it would be hard to walk around for the rest of my wedding. Nada problem solved the issue and started measuring the train in every angle and marking where to cut to also keep the integrity of the dress, because of her hard work I was able to wear my wedding dress all night. I am thankful I found her and both dresses came out great. She has a nice and professional attitude and her prices are reasonable I wish I had gone to her first but now I know where to go if I need any tailoring. read more

OVERPRICED for hemming the bottom of pants ($26/pants) SLOW RETURN when job is complete. I told her I was not in a rush and would be okay with up to 2 weeks then she said it would take 2-3. I really don't think a hem for a pair of pants takes that long. RUDE. As soon as I found out her price I told her I was not interested and would take it to a relative's instead. Before I walked out she started snarckily and sarcastically asked questions about the relative and if they had a shop. I bought a dress online for my Birthday that I was celebrating in Mexico. Dress fit except for it was too small In the back. The zipper hook closure was very tight. I took it another alterations person who said they couldn't fix it and suggested I wear the dress as is. When I took it to Nada's shop she came up with an idea to create an extension snap. She said it would be ready in 10 days, a little longer than I expected but just in time before I left for my trip. She said she is very busy with work right now. I was less than two months out from my wedding when my mom and sister were visiting and I tried my wedding dress on for them. Months earlier, I had already taken it to another top rated alterations place, who had told me there was nothing that could be done about the length of the skirt because of the lace and same for the straps of the top (which was a little too tight) because of the lace, and who just ended up putting in a bustle in for me. I had resigned myself to just having difficulty walking in my dress and the top being too tight but mom thankfully pushed me to take it somewhere to get another opinion, which is how we ended up at Nadas. Nada said it would be no problem to shorten the skirt and alter my top, and also caught that the bustle was sewed in wrong by the previous shop I went to. She wasn't stressed about the tight turnaround and even finished a day early! Thanks to Nada, I was able to walk SO much more easily in my dress and the top was much more comfortable which was huge for the big day. read more

My dress came into the bridal shop at least 1-2 sizes bigger making me go into full panic mode. I knew with that and the intricate lace with my dress also having a lot of layers I knew alterations were going to be a bit pricey, but I went elsewhere to get quoted before coming to Nada and it was going to be $3000+ I then came across Nada on yelp and trusted the other reviews. She is very sweet and gave her honest input every step of the way. I wanted detachable sleeves instead since the original sleeves wouldn't stay on my shoulders and she executed my vision perfectly! Also, she is very affordable in my opinion especially compared to other places. She even had my dress ready a little earlier than expected. Wow where do I begin with this review I'll try to keep it short lol. Nada is amazing at her skill period. She completely transformed my wedding dress into the dress of my dreams. My cousin had her wedding dress altered by Nada a few years back and it was beautifully done so she recommended her to me. When I bought my dress I immediately took it to her. I bought it in May and needed it for November, I knew It was important that she had sufficient time to work on it. My dress originally had thin straps but I wanted to add long sleeves. She crafted the sleeves from scratch! I wanted the lace to match as closely as possible so I purchased my own lace from Etsy instead of paying more to get it from the designer. Nada guided me through the process of shopping for the materials. Nada was so sweet and professional at all encounters. I felt confident in her ability to transform my dress. She communicated well with great detail.. even through the few challenges that were presented due to the nature of the dress design. She really did a phenomenal job. I found her pricing to be reasonable due to the amount of work it ended up being. Did I mention she had to hand sew the sleeves entirely?! Yeahhhh.... Circling back to how skilled she is! Nada is wonderful ! She really did an amazing job altering my boho wedding dress to a perfect fit . Im so glad I found her! She's talented, responsive, and timely. I'm super low key and I really try not to stress about too much in life... like I ordered my wedding dress online a few months before my wedding , and with only two weeks before my wedding date...I finally decided to try on the entire ensemble. Well this was probably one of those times i should have put more thought into and tried everything on much sooner ! That afternoon I panicked and shed some tears because the dress was ridiculously long even with the tallest of heels. It was a late Saturday evening when I hopped on yelp to see if I can get a tailor to fix my dress in less then two weeks. Nada was not only one of the first to respond back to me on yelp , she asked for pictures, additional info and gave me an estimate and appointment the following Monday to bring in my dress. Upon arrival at her small and tidy shop I was greeted with a hello and she had me put on my way long dress and got to work measuring and pinning to get the length just right . Afterwards she told me that she can have the dress ready next week.... one day before my wedding. Yes I was nervous, but she assured me it would be done and not to worry . As the week passed on with my nerves on edge, I decided i couldn't wait longer and called her shop to check on the status of dress. To my surprise the dress was done a day ahead of schedule! I immediately made my way over to her shop excited and anxious , praying the dress was ok . Holy cow . The dress was an ideal fit and length. It was perfect. I couldn't believe it. Nada did an excellent job HAND-sewing (the dress had delicate tulle and beading) and delivered the dress earlier then expected ! I was beyond happy. Nada is a honest, skilled, reliable, friendly tailor. Her Shop is tucked away in the back of an unremarkable strip of businesses off of Arden. Nada was wonderful and made my several sizes too large wedding dress fit perfectly. I had purchased a sample bridal size 10 dress (I'm a normal street size 2) without realizing how large it was. It had a corset/boning top so it was definitely not easy to work with. Nada got me in for two fittings and was able to get it to fit perfectly. She is very transparent about what she can and can't do and her pricing is very reasonable. I can tell she takes a lot of care in her work and she is very meticulous and looks out for all the details. I also last minute added on a reception gown for her to hem and she had no issues adding that on. She had my dress completed 3 weeks earlier than anticipated which was a bonus! read more

Nada was truly brutal and mean to my fiancée. My fiancee was looking to get her dress hemmed for our wedding, but considering this was her first go, she walked in for an appointment to see how it worked. Nada told her that she can complete the work order on September 1st, which is 2 days before our wedding. She said she was too busy to do it earlier, even when my fiancee asked if it can done earlier. My fiancee was hesitant at first due to the limited timeline, but went ahead. After a few days, my fiancee decided that she preferred to find a place to do the work order so she can have the dress ready at least 1 week in advance. She then called Nada and asked to get her dress back. Nada was angry, rude, and demeaning in responding then asked that my fiancee pay a measuring fee. My fiancee, like I mentioned, was a bit lost and asked that she wished she knew about the measuring fee beforehand, so she can make a decision rather than moving forward without knowing all the charges. Nada berated her and repeated that it was the industry standard, and that my fiancee was selfish. Making my fiancee really nervous to come into the shop. When my fiancee entered the shop, Nada yelled at her and made insults, and stated that she never want to see my fiancee's face again. Nada made my fiancee cry in the end. The one star review is for Nada's terrible conduct, unprofessionalism and nasty demeanor. The only positive thing is that my fiancee was able to get her dress back in one piece. My feedback: 1. Be upfront about all of the costs involved with measuring, hemming, and etc. on the first. Nada was not as she never told my fiancee about measuring fee. "Industry standard" or whatever, it was a first time experience for my fiancee so do not assume anything with the customer. My fiancee was completely unaware about the measuring fee, and after Nada's conduct, she felt she was baited with the unknown charges. That is just terrible business on Nada's part. 2. If someone wants their dress back, don't yell on the phone and make insults. Make it work out, and if there are any charges, make sure it's communicated in advance. No need to scold the customer - get business done quick, and return the dress back. Nada could've owned her mistake in not communicating about the charges by waiving, or at least asked nicely for the measuring fee. My fiancee would've gladly paid if she wasn't scolded or screamed at, via phone and in person. She did not want to because 1. She was not satisfied with the customer experience/process, thus she had the right to not pay, 2. since ultimately the mistake was on Nada's part. In this situation, Nada did not owe her mistake, and rudely talked about the measuring fee. 3. Treat not just customers, but everyone with respect. Business can be tough, but there is zero excuse for Nada to yell at my fiancee, especially in front of other customers, and make insults, ending with "I never want to see your face again", making her cry. I hate writing reviews like this, but what Nada did is unacceptable, and I hope no customers have to ever go through what my fiancee did. This experience on my fiancee's part is a thorn in our whole wedding planning, which has been going fantastic. I hope Nada is able to send an apology to my fiancee, and admit to her mistakes publicly on Yelp, and on Google Maps, so to make sure she maintains customers' confidence in her business.
