I hired MKC for an initial deep clean just to see if I liked it and the 2-person team they sent knocked it out of the park. Three full hours, doing an amazing job and being very respectful of my home. Their thoroughness was so impressive - they even washed down ALL the kitchen cabinets and cleaned the popcorn machine in the party room! The floors were wet-mopped; every area rug and carpet vacuumed - my house looks and smells amazing and I will be hiring MKC for monthly cleanings from now on. (I learned a lesson - DON'T empty your trash before they come, because they'll empty it again even if there's almost nothing in the bin.) TIP: Having GoogleTranslate on my phone turned out to be immensely helpful for giving instructions since my crew's native language was Brazilian Portuguese. I have never hired a house cleaning service before, but as I get older, I can't get on my knees and scrub my bathroom anymore :( My initial request via Yelp projects was just for that one service. I received a few replies, some two days later (!) but Helane at Maid 4 You answered right away. After some back and forth via Yelp, we began to text. By far the easiest! She told me her minimum fee was $100 and asked what else could they clean to make it right. Long story short, it was by far the best quote I received so I booked for today. The two people who cleaned went above and beyond (I think, more later). My bathroom and the one on the main floor as well as the one on the third floor are sparkling! Just to add a tip here: they don't give a "window" appointment, so when the cleaning crew finished another job early, Helane texted to ask if they could come but it was an hour and 15 minutes earlier. We weren't ready! We had so. much. stuff. The clutter struggle is real. Here is one more, very important tip: the "lead" cleaner spoke a little English but the other one I think none. It was delightful to listen to them speaking Portuguese! But if I was doing this again from scratch, I would ask the boss to come to the house so we could be very clear what was and wasn't to be done. I honestly don't know what they were told, but if it was their normal cleaning routine it was beyond excellent!! I just didn't know - having never hired anyone for this before - what to expect or how to direct them. Will we have them back? You bet.
