I'm very happy with the management of eMaidsofDC. After miscommunication with my move-out cleaning, he personally called me to reschedule. The cleaners came *early* the next day and left my apartment absolutely spotless... seriously: spotless. The best cleaning I've seen (which is hard for my aparrtment! It's a very old building on Capitol Hill and often had that "years of dust" feel). They were extremely careful and detail-oriented. I was very pleased with the service that I received from eMaidsofDC. Andre, the owner, promptly resolved my issue with a housekeeper that was originally sent and went through great lengths to ensure my satisfaction. Andre was very communicative throughout the process and was very understanding of my issue, which I genuinely appreciate as it was very easy to come to a resolution. Furthermore, Andre offered another cleaning on the house and sent his best, Miranda, who did an great job with my condo. When Miranda arrived (on time), she wore a mask, gloves and shoe covers. She meticulously wiped down my cabinets as well my stainless steel appliances. She was very careful not to scratch anything (she polished and cleaned in the direction of the grain & not against it) and I noticed she was very detailed oriented, ensuring that she went back to clean over spaces. In addition, Miranda was very polite and confirmed with me prior to unplugging electrical devices and even turning on the vacuum, which obviously wasn't an issue whatsoever. Based on the service that I received from Andre when resolving my previous issue, as well as the outstanding cleaning I received from Miranda, I would use eMaidsofDC again for my cleaning needs. Ok well let's see...where should I start? Oh I know; let's start with the truth! I reached out to another cleaning company, Passeto Cleaning, first and the fee was $289. I read all of the great reviews and although I didn't want to pay that much I figured it was worth it. All I wanted was a move-in cleaning and being as though it was my first time I didn't know exactly how much that type of cleaning should cost me. I tried to schedule an appointment with Passeto that would be feasible for me since I traveled 42 miles to and from work. Unfortunately, the latest I could get was 4:30. Of fine, I searched another company on Yelp and came across EMaidsofDC. I spoke to Jasmine and set everything up. She was able to accommodate my need for a late appt and the cost was $175. YES! I just knew I was saving some money and although they didn't have reviews it never once dawned on me that a cleaning company would have trouble cleaning. I was so wrong and typing this review 2 weeks later actually hurts me to my soul because I feel as if I was taken advantage of. Two women showed up around 5:45 for the appt I scheduled at 5:30, but it wasn't a problem since I drive so far to and from work. That day I actually needed the extra 15 mins. Anywho, I left the two women there to do a deep move in cleaning for the home I just signed the lease for; a home that was completely empty. Ok cool, I left and did some shopping for my new home I was renting. I asked Miranda (one of cleaning ladies) to pls text me 20 mins before done so I can meet them, let them out and lock the door. She didn't follow those instructions. Instead she texted and told me she was done. I didn't think much of it then, but I now feel as if she didn't want me to review my home prior to her leaving. Long story short she texted later and asked me if I liked everything. I told her "No" because there were a lot of spots not cleaned. Needless to say I was beyond disappointed. She took the time to tell me she cleaned everything and even though I sent her videos she still denied it. Ok fine, let me call Jasmine since she is who I scheduled with and explain to her everything that has happened. I still have the videos on my phone to this day. Jasmine apologized and told me she would talk to the ladies and send them back out to re-clean. I'm glad she said that bc I was not planning to pay for the lackluster service received. Man oh man was I disappointed. I work extremely hard for every penny and it doesn't feel good not to get the level of service a company expects you to pay for. WHERE to even begin on how absolutely unprofessional and inconvenient this experience with eMaids has been? I've never had a more unprofessional experience with any service in my life. What an absolute waste of my time and money (thankfully I finally got a refund after this rigmarole and complete waste of time) and my apartment was never cleaned. This "business" seriously has to be a scam. I've never used their services before, so I scheduled a deep cleaning of my apartment in DC online. I stayed home from work to greet them; when they were supposed to arrive, the cleaner texted me that they "were looking for parking" though my entire street was full of open spots. An hour later, they still hadn't arrived; I had to go to work and left the key outside for them. When I got home that evening, my house hadn't been touched aside from my bathroom sink, and they "made my bed" by rearranging blankets. They left my door key on the counter and took the tip I left on the counter, despite literally not touching/cleaning my apartment. So they had been in my apartment, didn't clean it, took the tip, and left. It was difficult to get in touch with eMaids to reschedule the cleaning that I paid for; I had to chase them down for 2 days until they agreed to reschedule the cleaning. They also claimed that they had "detailed photos of every corner of my cleaned house" which is a complete lie. Why even bother lying about having photos when it literally wasn't touched? Then, when the rescheduled clean was supposed to take place, I stayed home from work again, and nobody ever showed up - nobody told me that they wouldn't show up, and after 2.5 hours of waiting and nobody at eMaids picking up the phone, I gave up. Then when I kept calling to tell them nobody showed up, nobody answered. When I finally got someone on the phone, they said they'd "figure out" what happened, and resisted giving me a refund for $180 after all of this! They also sent me "photos of my cleaned house" which was a LIE; I'm sure they know the photos they sent were NOT from an apartment in my building, and they are certainly intentionally lying, because they know that the first cleaner came into my house, left my key, and took my tip despite not cleaning my house. This is SO SHADY. Who did they send into my home to not clean and take my money (VERY FISHY) and why wasn't it cleaned? Has to be a scam. They have offered ZERO explanations, despite me asking 10 times why someone entered my home, didn't clean, and took my tip, and the business has not refunded my tip despite many requests. I work hard for my money and didn't get it back from this VERY unprofessional "business", this is clearly not a legitimate cleaning service, and I hope nobody else has the horrible experience I did. Wow. THEN, today I get a text from the business offering cleaning packages and to give them a call about the options available. ARE YOU KIDDING? This must be a joke. This is not a legitimate business. And, all of their Yelp reviews have been deleted, which is really suspect. What a sketchy disaster, they are clearly up to no good. Who was in my house?! read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!! Do not use this service!!! They are one of the most irresponsible companies I have ever used. They show up to the wrong address and charge for doing absolutely no work whatsoever. The person Hailey who works the phones service has no clue what her job is and instead of speaking with her supervisors decides to act on her own accord. The supervisors also choose not to take accountability for their lack of professionalism and use the excuse of "I'm busy" rather then correct their mistakes. THEY ALSO DONT TELL YOU THAT EACH MAID THEY SEND EQUALS ONE HOUR OF WORK! What the hell does that mean? It doesn't work if only one of them is doing work. This company is a scam and charged 200$ and were their for an hour. Take your business elsewhere! read more

I was looking for a deep cleaning for my upcoming Gender Reveal and came across eMaidsofdc On Yelp and I couldn't be happier that I did. I quickly filled out a request with some basic info. & Jasmine replied to me first thing the next morning. She first congratulated me on becoming a Mommy and then proceeded to ask a few questions and specifications as well as fulfilling any request. I quickly scheduled my appointment for the preferred date and even received a coupon for $25 off! Skip to appointment day, two ladies (one named Miranda and the other name I didn't catch) arrived on time and quickly began deep cleaning the specific areas mentioned while scheduling my appointment. In about 2 hours they managed to make my kitchen, half bath and full bath upstairs SPOTLESS! I highly recommend eMaidsDC and will continue to use them in the future! read more

This was a mixed experience, but overall I'd give it a 4 star. First of all, the rate was unbeatable, and Jasmine gave me additional discount as a first time customer. The bad: On the day of the job, one cleaner called in sick and the other arrived one hour late. We got back to the property 2 hours later and looked like barely any progress was made, and my wife and I had to roll up our sleeves and started scrubbing with them so we could meet a deadline for a photoshoot appointment. The job ended up taking 7 hours to complete a 2 bedroom condo. The good: - The owner showed up and helped for most of the 7 hours, which was much appreciated. - They did stay for a long time to get the job done. - They used a soapy mixture on my laminate floor that didn't work well, but the next day the owner sent someone to come and fix it. Good day, everyone! Last week, I had the worst experience with Emaids of DC. I paid for a service to clean the first floor of my house, but it was a bad experience. Why? Because the floors had never been cleaned, I had to demonstrate them how to clean the steps and the floor, which was still filthy. Dishes remained in the sink, crumbs remained on the stove, and so on. The employees stated that they do not clean the flooring. So it's safe to assume they don't clean them as well. I should have paid myself to complete the task. read more

They wore their masks and gloves the entire time. Explained the sanitation process of the vacuum filtration system. I had an outstanding experience with eMaids! I have a 3 story, 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom townhome and the ladies did an amazing job cleaning my entire house. They were extremely professional, organized and thorough throughout my service, which included cleaning hardwood floors, baseboards, window sills, shower doors and floors, bathroom tubs and tiles, the kitchen (microwave and stove included) and all the little places and spaces you don't always have the opportunity and desire to clean on your own. They came well prepared and had just about every tool and item needed to complete the job. The only item I supplied was my vacuum cleaner for the 3rd floor carpet, which they empty and cleaned before leaving. After initially showing them around the house and noting a few areas of concern, they went to work and I almost didn't notice them for the duration of the cleaning and didn't have to provide any further direction as to what to clean or do around the house. They seemed to work really well together, they had great personalities and I honestly enjoyed having them in my home. If there was one little suggestion I would make is that eMaids would provide an add on service option for folding clean clothes. I'd gladly pay for that additional service.
