I've used them on and off for years. In the past they broke some blinds but did come back to reinstall new blinds that I purchased to replace them. And I could overlook it because particularly before the pandemic, they were really thorough cleaners. Today, they are good for a regular cleaning, though sometimes there is often not enough attention to detail. I paid 438 dollars for a job yesterday, and the house is generally clean though things like--didn't take the trash out but took recycling out, or the blinds in the bathroom now are permanently malfunctioning, or the couch wasn't fully wiped down etc. 125/hr with 2 cleaners. I think I'd be a bit more forgiving if the cost was a bit lower (to clean an apartment with one bedroom with some dust). That and the last minute nature of scheduling (ie same day texts) just leaves much to be desired. Pay by venmo and make sure that venmo doesn't tag it as a good/service because you will receive follow up texts asking you to pay for whatever percentage venmo takes. read more

I moved into my apartment a few months ago and tried to clean it on my own back then, but just accepted that some things (like hard water stains on the shower door and brown stains in my sink would be permanent. Sandra is one of the best residential, professional cleaners ever!!! I have used Sandra on several homes and apartments that I manage and for homes that I am preparing to list on the market for sale. For example: Had a case in upper NW DC where the tenant left old, very molded food in the refrigerator. The entire refrigerator was molded. No other cleaner would take on this job except Sandra Benitez and her team. She did an excellent job, and to this day, I still have that refrigerator in our rental unit thanks to Sandra. Without Sandra, we would have needed to purchase another refrigerator. Second case, when my client was in the process of buying a single family, Colonial home in Bryans Road, MD, the home had the stench of moth balls when you walk in. After Sandra thoroughly cleaned this fixer-upper home, there were no more mothball smells. My client was very pleased with Sandra's work, and was especially happy when Sandra willingly complied with my buyer's request for Sandra to remove her food items from the refrigerator, clean the refrigerator, and place her items back into the refrigerator. Sandra did this extra request with a smile and no complaints. Third case: Back in August / Sept of 2022, I used Sandra to professionally clean an apartment unit in SE DC that the tenant had moved out of, and we had performed some repairs and painting which caused a great deal of sand and dust. Well, again, Sandra came to my rescue and cleaned this unit and we were able to obtain a great, happy tenant as a result of her excellent cleaning ability. She also cleaned inside and outside of all appliances, along the baseboards, moulding, floors, walls, ceiling fans, cabinets, and more. Fourth case: today (12-22-2022), I asked Sandra to clean an apartment in Montgomery County, MD that had many body fluids distributed throughout the home along with an odor. These ladies can CLEAN! I got a deep clean for a house that badly needed it. I have two dogs and a cat and we hadn't gotten a deep clean for over a year. There was not a SINGLE SPEC of dust or hair in the entire home once they were finished. Seriously, the dogs didn't recognize the house when they came back because everything smelled so clean. Avoid at all costs! My experience: scheduled me for 7am, then called the night before to move my appointment to 8am. Around 7am the following morning, they called and told me that actually, the cleaners would be there in 20 minutes, and I had to be there to let them in. So I drove 40 minutes from my old apartment to get there as fast as I could. They acted like I was the bad guy for keeping them waiting after 20 minutes of advance notice! The actual cleaning job was just...so bad. This is a one bedroom condo; it can't possibly be that much effort for a two person team, right? But they kept trying to upsell me for an extra hour, and I told them all I really needed was a deep clean for the bathroom, so $125 for one hour should work fine. When they were done, there was still gunk in plain sight under the cabinet in the bathroom. I contacted the boss, Sandra B, and she told me they "can hardly do anything" (her exact words) with only an hour, and offered to have the team come back to finish the job for an extra $75. Absolutely outrageous; one almost has to admire the sheer chutzpah of intentionally doing a bad job and trying to extort more cash for finishing. Don't waste your money when there are so many better options in DC. Edit: Since I can't respond to the response below, I will say this - the excuse she gives is that the "cleanliness of the place" is taken into account when providing an estimate. It is remarkable that she was able to ascertain the cleanliness of the empty 700 sq ft condo over the phone and deem it required a two person team to charge almost double the initial rate, **without ever seeing it.** I didn't hear her mention Saturdays weren't usually available, so in fairness, perhaps she did - it may have been drowned out by the loud brass instrument being played into the phone that I kept asking her to turn down when making the initial appointment so I could hear her better. And how could anyone trust a service that, with two people, can't fully clean an empty bathroom in an hour, and doesn't even touch the rest of the 700 sq ft condo? It seems like a more honest approach would have been to say that cleaning the bathroom would be $200, rather than say $125 for an hour...but we're not going to get the job done unless you book us for two hours. "Not 100% satisfied" doesn't begin to cover this Kafkaesque experience. I am not the kind of person that usually leaves these reviews, but this was literally the worst purchase I have ever made, and I feel like I needed to warn people to not be misled by the bafflingly high overall rating. read more

It only took them 2.5 hours to clean, and I'm sure it would have taken my fiance and I a lot longer! They also charge a very reasonable rate.
