Excellent service!! Amazed by how responsive and reliable Sandra and her team are. I received a message and received an estimate over the phone. They showed up the same day and did the most thorough cleaning and even sent photos. Highly recommended. read more

DC Maids are fantastic! Sandra is quick to respond to inquiries and does her best to work with your schedule and request. These ladies are efficient, exceptional, and kind. They truly cleaned every nook and corner and left our house spotless and clean! They also were able to clean tough stains that we have tried and failed to remove on our own. I will definitely be using their services again! They also take venmo, which is great. read more

Sandra's team has come twice now -once to do a deep clean where they moved and cleaned behind the furniture and once for a regular cleaning. We were very happy with their work both times and have recommended them to a friend. read more

THE BEST!!!! They showed up on time and cleaned every little cranny of my home. It felt so good to see my home so clean and now I can enjoy my weekend and not spend my time cleaning. They were both very nice and the work was done so fast and diligently! I will definitely be using them again; Every two weeks!!!! Thanks again!!! read more

I contacted DC Maids for a very last min move out cleaning and Sandra was very responsive. They showed up early to the location and she and her team got to work right away. At the end the place looked great and I was relieved to be able to find someone for the job who was reliable, punctual and professional. Thank you to Sandra and her team! I would definitely hire them again and would recommend to others. read more

AMAZING. I moved into my apartment a few months ago and tried to clean it on my own back then, but just accepted that some things (like hard water stains on the shower door and brown stains in my sink would be permanent. BUT I was so wrong - these ladies totally exceeded my expectations! Not only did they remove ALL of the dust, gunk from the floor, and the shower/sink stains, but even reorganized my shoes. The place is sparkling, can't recommend them enough. read more

DC Maids - This sink used to be stained brown and I hadn't been able to get it out for months despite almost daily cleaning, BUT LOOK AT IT NOW!!! - Home Cleaning Near Me - Washington, DC, District of Columbia

I've used them on and off for years. In the past they broke some blinds but did come back to reinstall new blinds that I purchased to replace them. And I could overlook it because particularly before the pandemic, they were really thorough cleaners. Today, they are good for a regular cleaning, though sometimes there is often not enough attention to detail. I paid 438 dollars for a job yesterday, and the house is generally clean though things like--didn't take the trash out but took recycling out, or the blinds in the bathroom now are permanently malfunctioning, or the couch wasn't fully wiped down etc. 125/hr with 2 cleaners. I think I'd be a bit more forgiving if the cost was a bit lower (to clean an apartment with one bedroom with some dust). That and the last minute nature of scheduling (ie same day texts) just leaves much to be desired. Pay by venmo and make sure that venmo doesn't tag it as a good/service because you will receive follow up texts asking you to pay for whatever percentage venmo takes. read more

DC maids is an absolute gem of a company! My family needed a last minute cleaning the day before thanksgiving and they made it happen with a same day request! The condo was left sparklingly and smelling brand new. They were incredibly nice and so efficient! We will certainly be regular customers. read more

Clean, quick and responsive. Really recommended, definitely will ask for their help again.

What can I say? I am moving out this weekend and I was able to get a cleaning scheduled within a week before moving. I am just absolutely blown away by the terrific job that Sandra's team did on my apartment. I have a small efficiency place that had some dust on the tables along with some grime in the tub. I was pleasantly shocked at the miracles Sandra's team were able to perform. I highly recommend this service if you're looking for a cleaning company in and around DC. If you have an apartment and you need a move out cleaning, look no further. Also, if I had known about them, I probably would have booked them for a bi-weekly or monthly cleaning. They are that good and the services are totally worth it. Thank you Sandra!!! I can't thank you and your team enough for the thorough cleaning and the quality of service which was provided. read more

After a week of renovation in my small condo there was construction dust everywhere and I simply did not have the energy to deal with it all. Sandra's team did a pretty good job of getting rid of the majority of the dust while working around the items that still needed to be installed. They also tidied up my kitchen and bedroom, which was such a relief to come back home to see after a few stressful weeks. I immediately booked another cleaning session when they left. read more

Such fantastic service! Got a spring spring cleaning (or I guess a fall cleaning since it was only a couple of weeks ago..), and these ladies worked their butts off, I kid you not. So many cleaning companies have staff that come and merely move dirt and dust around, but not these guys. They are the real deal and go above and beyond! The pricing was fair for the service, and most importantly matched the quote I'd gotten beforehand. Take a look at the pics to see my sparkling clean fridge, stove top, oven, and even shower doors. Highly recommend this firm! read more

Double the price and nowhere near the standards of our previous cleaners, who wasn't available at the time. We are disappointed. Sandra offered to come back, but it should be done right the first time. Perhaps they are better cleaning apartments rather than houses. read more

Sandra and the crew at DC Maids are terrific. They did several deep cleanings at one of my homes in the throes of a terrible mouse problem. Sandra reorganized her schedule so that I could have a last minute cleaning before an unexpected house guest arrived. Their work is thorough and professional. Definitely hire DC Maids! read more

These ladies can CLEAN! I got a deep clean for a house that badly needed it. I have two dogs and a cat and we hadn't gotten a deep clean for over a year. There was not a SINGLE SPEC of dust or hair in the entire home once they were finished. Seriously, the dogs didn't recognize the house when they came back because everything smelled so clean. They cleaned things we didn't even know could be cleaned! (The bottom of the shower curtain liner?? What??) The team of three really took their time and ended up coming back the next day to finish the basement. And it was less expensive than I thought it would be! The owner is very communicative over text, which makes it very easy. I'm happy to start to use this team on a regular basis. read more

Used them for the first time today for a deep clean. They transformed my home and made me fall back in love with it. It was that good. Initially I planned to go with just two hours of cleaning but seeing how thorough they were being I told them to take as much time as they needed to do the whole place. I didn't regret going for the extra hour. My recommendation: just give in to the process. The result will be worth it. read more

Sandra is one of the best residential, professional cleaners ever!!! I have used Sandra on several homes and apartments that I manage and for homes that I am preparing to list on the market for sale. For example: Had a case in upper NW DC where the tenant left old, very molded food in the refrigerator. The entire refrigerator was molded. No other cleaner would take on this job except Sandra Benitez and her team. She did an excellent job, and to this day, I still have that refrigerator in our rental unit thanks to Sandra. Without Sandra, we would have needed to purchase another refrigerator. Second case, when my client was in the process of buying a single family, Colonial home in Bryans Road, MD, the home had the stench of moth balls when you walk in. After Sandra thoroughly cleaned this fixer-upper home, there were no more mothball smells. My client was very pleased with Sandra's work, and was especially happy when Sandra willingly complied with my buyer's request for Sandra to remove her food items from the refrigerator, clean the refrigerator, and place her items back into the refrigerator. Sandra did this extra request with a smile and no complaints. Third case: Back in August / Sept of 2022, I used Sandra to professionally clean an apartment unit in SE DC that the tenant had moved out of, and we had performed some repairs and painting which caused a great deal of sand and dust. Well, again, Sandra came to my rescue and cleaned this unit and we were able to obtain a great, happy tenant as a result of her excellent cleaning ability. She also cleaned inside and outside of all appliances, along the baseboards, moulding, floors, walls, ceiling fans, cabinets, and more. Fourth case: today (12-22-2022), I asked Sandra to clean an apartment in Montgomery County, MD that had many body fluids distributed throughout the home along with an odor. Again, Sandra rose to the occasion, and willingly both cleaned all of the items that needed to be disposed of and thoroughly cleaned the parts of the apartment that we needed Sandra and her team to clean. Would like to add that Sandra provided SAME DAY service for me today. Just so happened, she was available on the same day that I made the request. Just love Sandra. Take my word for it and take my experience with Sandra, and know that if you REALLY want a reliable, thorough, professional cleaner, you have found that in Sandra Benitez. Since I list, sale and manage residential properties in DC, MD and VA, please know that Sandra is indeed one of the very best!!! She is definitely one of my TOP Go-To Professional Cleaners!!!! You will NOT be disappointed with Sandra Benitez and her team and DC Maids. read more

Sandra and her team are out of this world. they cleaned an unsightly space that was the site of an unspeakable tragedy, and transformed it to look like nothing ever occurred. no one would've known what happened in that space. they cleaned bodily fluids, smells, spoiled food and more immaculately to look and smell brand new. she and her team did this in about 2.5 hours. they are about to be my go to cleaners read more

We needed to get out of our apartment and dc maids came by and cleaned last minute. They left it sparklingly clean. I am giving it a 4 because the quote I got on the phone was less than what I actually got charged per hour. I still recommend them. read more

I have been using DC Maids for several months now and they are fantastic. Scheduling is super easy, payment is easy as well - you can use Venmo. More importantly the team is always on time and does an incredible job at cleaning. They are extremely thorough and do a deep cleaning every time. Unlike other companies I've used where they work hourly and will just stop cleaning even if they aren't done, the team doesn't stop until the job is completely finished. They leave no stone unturned - they move furniture and rugs to get every last bit of dirt and dust! I couldn't be happier with the services I receive! Thanks to Sandra and her team!!!!! read more

DC maids has become my go-to cleaning service for my home! They surpass my expectations in terms of attention to detail and efficiency. Other cleaning services I have used have always been disappointing in that they would miss little details and would seemingly take longer than necessary to complete the job. DC maids team is friendly and professional, including the scheduling staff. I REALLY appreciate their quick response times and excellent communication! read more

I have used DC Maids several times over the last year for my DC 1-bedroom and I am always appreciative of their service. Avoid at all costs! My experience: scheduled me for 7am, then called the night before to move my appointment to 8am. Around 7am the following morning, they called and told me that actually, the cleaners would be there in 20 minutes, and I had to be there to let them in. So I drove 40 minutes from my old apartment to get there as fast as I could. They acted like I was the bad guy for keeping them waiting after 20 minutes of advance notice! The actual cleaning job was just...so bad. This is a one bedroom condo; it can't possibly be that much effort for a two person team, right? But they kept trying to upsell me for an extra hour, and I told them all I really needed was a deep clean for the bathroom, so $125 for one hour should work fine. When they were done, there was still gunk in plain sight under the cabinet in the bathroom. I contacted the boss, Sandra B, and she told me they "can hardly do anything" (her exact words) with only an hour, and offered to have the team come back to finish the job for an extra $75. Absolutely outrageous; one almost has to admire the sheer chutzpah of intentionally doing a bad job and trying to extort more cash for finishing. Don't waste your money when there are so many better options in DC. Edit: Since I can't respond to the response below, I will say this - the excuse she gives is that the "cleanliness of the place" is taken into account when providing an estimate. It is remarkable that she was able to ascertain the cleanliness of the empty 700 sq ft condo over the phone and deem it required a two person team to charge almost double the initial rate, **without ever seeing it.** I didn't hear her mention Saturdays weren't usually available, so in fairness, perhaps she did - it may have been drowned out by the loud brass instrument being played into the phone that I kept asking her to turn down when making the initial appointment so I could hear her better. And how could anyone trust a service that, with two people, can't fully clean an empty bathroom in an hour, and doesn't even touch the rest of the 700 sq ft condo? It seems like a more honest approach would have been to say that cleaning the bathroom would be $200, rather than say $125 for an hour...but we're not going to get the job done unless you book us for two hours. "Not 100% satisfied" doesn't begin to cover this Kafkaesque experience. I am not the kind of person that usually leaves these reviews, but this was literally the worst purchase I have ever made, and I feel like I needed to warn people to not be misled by the bafflingly high overall rating. read more

We booked DC Maids because we just moved into our new home. The basement needed a lot of love and so did the bathrooms. They came early in the morning the day after I reached out requesting service. It only took them 2.5 hours to clean, and I'm sure it would have taken my fiance and I a lot longer! They also charge a very reasonable rate. I am sure we will hire them again when we are finished with renovations and done unpacking. read more

Sandra and her team are incredible! They were able to schedule a deep clean for my apartment the same week I called requesting an appointment and were able to accommodate my work schedule by coming in the evening! They did a spot clean on my carpet without an additional fee and promised they would bring stronger products during the next visit to remove stains that have been there since I moved in. Very friendly, efficient, and professional. The best cleaners I have used in DC in 5 years! read more

Really disappointed with the service. Made an appointment that was later pushed back. Then , due to other scheduling constraints, a 2-2.5 hour job was squeezed into 1 hour and it showed. Place was simply not properly cleaned at the end. I would not recommend their services. read more

They are excellent. My house is cleaner than it has been in years. The price is worth it as the are on time, thorough and work hard!!

I love DC Maids. They did an amazing job. They were super nice. We moved into a house that was occupied by tenants for the last 6 months. They did not clean the house at all before they moved out. Furthermore, the house was part of an estate sale so there were some things like the sky lights that no one knows the last time they were cleaned. Sandra and team came in and in 3 hours transformed the entire home. I didn't think it could look so good. Definitely recommend and definitely plan to hire them again in the future. read more

I am thrilled with DC Maids. I have finally found a cleaning service that is thorough, affordable and dependable. I've been through my fair share of services, but my search is over.
